While you guys are waiting for the new album, we have released a new live video! This one was shot at various venues, in a period of time between september 2007 and June 2008. The background music is Protoplaston (PROOO-TOOOO-PLAS-TOOOON!). It is available on YouTube and other community websites.

Chances are we will release more cool vids this summer.

Hi there!
While waiting for the new album, which takes months and months of recording, and editing, we've decided to put some extra stuff on our page just to bring you guys some cool tunes before the album is done. NO: this is NOT a new song, but rather the famous remix Ayrton Felkhor did for "All Flesh And Smoke" during the Theogony period. Enjoy!

What about the recording? One new song is being finalized, ("Rusty" - working title), which is basically some mid-tempo shit with cool double bass drum beats and athmospheric parts. See what I'm saying?

Months (and moths also) have been flying this year and it's been quite a time since we kept you informed... This being for one excellent reason: we've been BUSY! ;-) Xicon are working their hands off on the second record. Drums are almost done, quitars are on the go, vocals as well. Pat Aeby (ex-Krokus) is once again sitting in front of his computer to produce this record.

Songs seems to be darker and thrashier than ever... I know every band state those kind of things but hey! it's true!! If you want to be sure of that just pop by on the 6th of june in Monthey (CH). We'll play a brand new killer track entitled 'Checkmate'.

Meanwhile here are some of the working title (apart from the afformentionned Checkmate): On Concrete, Monument, The Maze, Drowning...

That's it for now. We try and keep you informed soon. Maybe some rough mixes in a near future... Why not?

Pas beaucoup d'info de notre part depuis quelques mois. Et pour cause, Xicon travaillent d'arrache pied sur son 2e album. C'est encore une fois Pat Aeby (ex-Krokus) qui sera aux manettes. Les batteries de 8 titres sont terminées, les guitares suivent leur cours et les voix aussi.

À première vue, les nouveaux titres s'orientent vers quelque chose de plus sombre et de plus thrashy... Tous les groupes disent ça mais, hé, devinez quoi? C'est vrai!! Si vous voulez vérifier, fâites un saut au Pont Rouge à Monthey (VS). Un nouveau titre sera joué sur scène: Checkmate.

Parmi les autres titres qui figureront sur ce deuxième album, On Concrete, Monument, The Maze,...

C'est tout pour le moment. On essaiera de vous donner des infos plus régulièrement à l'avenir. Et pourquoi pas un rough mix d'ici quelques semaines?

Dear Xiconians!
Finally some news from your favourite swiss thrash-industrialists!

We have posted a new song, Protoplaston, on myspace taken from our debut album Theogony. Well it is not directly taken from the album since this one is a special edit that gets straight to the point! Another version of this song is available as a bootleg "8-bit style" video on our website, www.xicon.info.
Besides, the website has been upgraded with tons of new material:  many new interviews, reviews, song lyrics as well as new live picture and video galleries!

The band is also working on new projects that will be released in 2008. More infos on that soon ...

Le temps n'étant pas au beau fixe et incitant plus aux longues heures devant son écran qu'aux ballades dans les forêts sauvages à courser les trolls, j'en profite pour dire...

Un immense merci à toutes les personnes présentes lors de notre concert au NED. L'ambiance était vraiment formidable!!! Hats off gentlmen!

Swiss-based metal band XICON has signed an exclusive, worlwide deal with French label Thundering-Records, for a large-scale release of its debut full-length album "Theogony". In 2006, XICON signed with Swiss record label Aurora Music for the promotion and distribution of "Theogony" in Switzerland exclusively.

"Theogony" was recorded, engineered, produced and mixed at by Patrick Aeby, assisted by Dom Favez. Patrick is the well-known ex-drummer and producer of Krokus' gold certified album "Rock The Block" while Dom Favez is currently is currently involved in the same band as a guitarist. The CD was mastered by Christoph Stickel at MSM Studios, Germany (Guano Apes, OOMPH!, etc ...). The album features Ludovic Loez, from the French cult bands S.U.P / Supuration.

Comments drummer Tom: "We are super excited to be working with Thundering from now on. It a very dynamic record label ... exactly what we need to keep things moving forwards. Since we believe in the potential of our album "Theogony", I think the force is goddamn' strong now!"

Release Dates outside of Switzerland are currently under discussion. Check out the band's website for more information (www.xicon.info) and Thundering's www.thundering-records.com

To all French-reading fans (and especially those in Switz), a guy who pseudonymed himself as 'Souillac' (which you can translate as 'Wino') has posted insulting and diffamatory comments about XICON on Swissmetal blog, Skyblog (http://metalswiss.skyblog.com). Not that I take this at heart (in fact I don't really give a damn), but I want to stay true towards those who have supported us so far and those who still do. I posted the following answer. I guess you'll understand who's insulting who, then...

Hey mister Souillac! La prochaine fois que tu répends des propos infondés au sujet de qqn, merci de donner quelques arguments... Je n'ai pas le souvenir que XICON ait jamais insulté une seule personne, que se soit en live ou en interview.

L'attitude du groupe charme de nombreuses personnes (demande à Duja de Couleur3 ou ouvre le dernier transit, si tu sais lire!) par son professionalisme et sa bonne humeur. Nous respectons par dessus tout notre public car c'est la seule raison qui nous pousse à continuer.

Je l'ai dit au Pisur, un grand merci aux personnes qui sont restées pour assister à notre show dont nous sommes extrêment satisfaits.

Nombres de musiciens auraient vidés les lieux devant le manque de public. Pas XICON!! Que nous jouions devant 5 ou 500 personnes, cela est le même pour nous: nous nous donnons à 110%. Voilà ce qui différencie un groupe pro, d'une bande de posers!! Le patron du PISUR lui-même nous a félicité pour notre attitude respectueuse vis-à-vis du (clairsemé) public, ce malgré le relatif flop de sa soirée. (au passage, respect à lui aussi pour sa motivation!)

Cela étant dit, si moi, ou un autre membre du groupe a pu choquer ta sensibilité alors j'en suis navré et aimerais vraiment savoir ce que tu entends exactement par 'insulter' (merci de citer les termes de l'insulte), afin que nous ne tenions plus ce genre de propos.

Pour ma part, je suis un immense adepte de l'ironie (à l'instar de Nick Holmes, l'une de mes idoles de toujours) comme vous avez pu vous en rendre compte au PISUR. Si tu n'es pas capable de comprendre ce genre d'humour, alors passe ton chemin et vis ta vie.

Encore une fois, un IMMENSE MERCI à ceux qui nous suivent, nous soutiennent et nous comprennent: VOUS êtes la raison d'être de ce groupe! Quant aux autres, nous finirons bien par vous convertir! hehehe

Et au passage, Souillac, sache que la diffamation est une insulte!!
