Current mood:  sore
Well I have to put this out there for those of you who keep asking...

I did break three fingers on my left hand.

I did it playing football... The doctors are saying six weeks... That means no shows for a little while.  I want to let everyone know that the band and I are still working on new stuff, and I may be moving to the keys for a while... we'll see.

All in all thank you to all of the well wishers... I'll be back on top of the rock in no time.

So good news first... Tara you are the winner sister... Send me a message to claim your wonderful prize... Sneaking in at the end... was very sneaky.

I have had a long couple of weeks these last two, and Saturday night I went out to what must be Wilmington's worst Italian restaurant... I'm not naming names but it wasn't at all impressive... The food was cold, and every time I ordered a Jim Beam they gave me Wild Turkey, but when I went by the bar I counted 3 bottles of the good stuff...  So a pox on them for overpricing my unwanted drink... but the restaurant aside it was a really fun night... We were celebrating the birthday of a very cool girl named Erin... I haven't been out much (dealing with some issues at home & work) so I decided to have a little fun... Some paparazzi showed up and snapped a candid photo... here it is for you all to caption...

Difficulty level : We aren't gay

Good Luck!!!

Current mood:  anxious
I haven't been writing on here much lately... I have been busy and things are going pretty well... I have started talking with an English label about picking up some UK distribution for the records... good news for all my fans in England and Ireland... I have been getting some nice e-mails lately from some Irish fans asking me to come back... I will.

I have been at home taking care of some personal stuff lately as well and I haven't had much time to get a new picture caption contest photo up... or announce the winner from the last one... Don't worry there will be a new one up tomorrow... And I know who won... but I'll let you all know who it is on Monday...

A few weeks ago I played a great game of football with some of my friends down here in Wilmington... I want to do it again, and I want to get the word out to everyone (this includes fans who don't normally hang out) that I want to get an 8 on 8 game together... anyone want to play??? It's two hand touch and it doesn't only have to be guys... if there are any ladies who want to play you too are invited... let me know.

All this down time from playing lately has got me really psyched to play these shows coming up... I liked Columbia last time I was there and I can't wait to get back down on Friday... There may be an Atlanta show on Saturday as well... Also I have my CD release party for Wilmington coming up on Dec. 2nd... HOT ... I can't wait.

Ahhh golf... the sport of kings... Yesterday I got a birdie... no joke... Awesome... Enough about me lets get to you Kraig... you have won with your keen captioning and deep understanding of my "Divot".  Good Show... Glenn your caption and photoshopping were definitely worth mentioning and they made me laugh a whole big bunch, but you won last week and I'm a little concerned with your ball knowledge.  Also left unsubmitted was a good "Putz" reference... well all that is over now and it's Monday, so it's time for a new picture... by the way, is everyone telling their friends how super awesome my captioning contests are??? And how they can win great prizes??? Well you should cause it's the right thing to do...

This week's photo...

Let the games........ begin!

So it turns out that I'm pretty good at bowling...

We rolled into the alley last night looking for fun and beer... true we brought pizza and we didn't share it, but other than that we were model bowlers... things were going well, I had put our name on the list for the lane and $7 pitchers of Yuengling were going down smoothly... I was excited when they called my name to the counter to get my lane, and I was shocked SHOCKED to find out that the man behind the counter was a complete moron... I won't go into details here, but I was very close to pummeling the rude and stupid man... I don't envy his job... sniffing used shoes all day... what a douche.

Here's the point... our hero (me) bowled a 242.. yeah that's right... straight Fred Flintstone style... I had 6 strikes in a row at one point... In baseball that's 2/3 of an inning... at bowling it pretty much makes me the awesomest... What's that you say??? You don't believe me?!?!? Please forgive my Bouya.... BOUYA!!!

That's it right there... I know that there are going to be some (Ty you'll love this) Haters out there who think that it's fake... it's not... I know that this whole thing is one big brag fest, but I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to do this well again, and I have to roll around in it while I can... there is one thing on my mind though... some part of me tells me that being really good at bowling is akin to being the smartest kid in remedial math... but whatever I'll take it.

Current mood:  pleased
Life is, as the French say, Le Awesome...

My CD release party was a dream... totally fun... The sound guy was lame, but it's not his fault, he was born into one of the lowest castes known to musicdom... sound guy is normally one step above DJ and they have the chip on their shoulder to prove it... with that aside it was great... I tore my throat out singing, but it was pure energy up there and I had a buzz for a couple of days afterwards.

I flew back to Wilmington at 10 the morning after... an early fight from a late night but it worked out well... My good friend Doug (Keys/vocals at the show and on the new record) flew with us, and two old friends from the VA days (Sean and Matt) drove down for the party on Saturday... My birthday bash.

The last five days have been a blur... waking up fairly early and playing golf ( I'm not very good but I love any sport that has a girl who brings you drinks while you play it), drinking beer, playing and watching football, eating buffalo wings... lots of them, and basically relaxing and taking a well earned vacation... Last night I went to see "The Black Dahlia"... It was playing at a theater where they serve buffalo wings and $5 pitchers to you at a table while you watch the movie... awesome... I have to say that it was one of the worst written movies that I have ever seen... I laughed throughout the movie and somewhere in the middle thanked god for movie theaters that serve beer... If I had paid $11 in New York to see this movie sober I would have had to take one of those foldy seats home with me out of principle... blech what a bad flick.

Anyway it's to the lanes for dollar bowling night and some more cheap beer and fun... tomorrow is going to be a long and very busy one... Doug decided to book a 10 a.m. flight back to NY from an airport that is one and a half hours away... smooth move ex-lax... that's what friends are for...

More shows will be posted soon, keep your eyes peeled.

Current mood:  anxious
I flew back into Laguardia airport yesterday and I have to say that it feels good to have my feet slapping against the dirty NY streets again... A little knoshin' it up at Planet Thai and then back to the loft... where to my surprise there is a new featured item... a super kick ass ping pong table... awww yeah me likey.

Last night turned into a eat in and play ping pong till the wee hours night... Today is going to be a rehearse 'till my fingers bleed day, and then another pong till the sun comes up night... I don't know what it is about that game that brings out the devil in people... normally sweet people's soft eyes turn coal black when you accidentally hit a floater their way... they wind up and then KERPOWSKI... there is a little orange ball flying at your face at mach 4... I have seen you Satan, and your name is pong... awesome.

On a sad note... our camera has been rendered broken by a wee little baby... so there won't be any pictures until the show (that will have some pro-tographer...like that???) But to help out I will encourage anyone who is reading this in New York to follow me around like paparazzi... I promise to act annoyed.
