Current mood:  accomplished
Category: Music
After a lot of erased experimental recordings,
Eye am attempting to return to my musical balance
with this new song entitled: "Love life"

For the moment, it sounds unexpectedly good.
It is driven by a synth arpeggio and spacious FX.
Eye have also introduced samples provided by Not Breathing
and ad-libs by a young German "human beat box" named Michael Knab.

Lyrically, the song deals with getting over it and enjoying time.
You might find it incredibly stodgy and preposterously self-indulgent
but the chorus lines of the song actually seem to say it all very simply.

Pre-production took a few weeks, the recording was done in a day
and the mixing spread out over the last semester.
Mixing is about making sure that all sounds work with each other,
about being able to hear the music,
and that certain moving parts make you twitch.
So Eye have added one sound after another with no rush to this point.

Hopefully, it was worth the wait for you...

Eye discovered electronic music while listening to a jazz radio station
from San Diego (98.1 k eye fm), the song was Moments In Love...
That instant Eye knew Eye wanted to live my time making music with keyboards and such.

Soon Eye started to hunt down cassettes from Dancing Fantasy, Patrick O'Hearn,
soft and very synthetic sounding stuff like that, until one day,
entering an underground rock shop Eye heard something fantastic:
it was like passing through a marble laberynth with dried up little trees
and shadows throwing in the corridors...
this was the sound of Skinny Puppy and then Eye saw the cover of a Diamanda Galás cassette!
Was this Love? Magic? . . . witchcraft? Or all of the above???

Eye then heard more heavy industrial tapes from Ministry, Einstürzende Neubauten, NIN, etc.
and liked all those bands but my favorites were still mostly
the electronic groups that used lots of samples.

This is a short list of what could possibly be my most listened to albums of the last decade:

1 Enya – Shepherd Moons
2 Kraftwerk – The Mix
3 Skinny Puppy – Last Rights
4 Doubting Thomas – The Infidel
5 The Tear Garden – The Last Man To Fly
6 Front 242 – Tyranny For You
7 Art Of Noise – Beneath The Waste
8 The Orb – U.F.Orb
9 NIN – The Downward Spiral

Eye cut my long hair...

Eye have gone tonight to open up for the first time
and write a little bit about my changes in appearance.

Let's start at the beginning. To refresh your memory,
generally, Eye don't know if you know or the general public
but in reflection, Eye am coming up on two years being here
so that happened maybe five years ago.

Let's go back to the beginning before we get to the rest of things.
Well... To artistically show you the scope
of what someone feels with the recurrence of heartbreak.
And then at a certain point when you lose,
quote, "control of that process,"
you end up in wrong places doing wrong things,
driving the wrong cars at the wrong times,
creating havoc in everyone's life.

As for my last 12 years, that Minuit is gone.
Not that Eye am any different inside.

But Eye needed to have a break, you know, from myself.
You know what Eye am saying?
Eye want to get back and do what Eye do well
so Eye needed to become someone else for the part.

There are way too many movies out there so Eye am just going to mention a few.

Currently and for the past couple of years, The Hours with Nicole as Virginia Woolf...
Ed Harris is great as always, not to mention everyone involved.
A perfect movie with flawless writing and an amazing soundtrack.

Interstate 60: when in doubt, always do the right thing... buy this dvd a.s.a.p.
Hard Candy is an excellent head on session of thin ice with a dramatic twist.
Gegen Die Wand uncannily resembles my first relationship in SO many ways.

Walk On Water is a must "sea" and Solaris with cLoony has a stunning soundtrack.
The chinese Old Boy is awesome visually and the story is t.f.w.o., watch it!

Other classic flix Eye love:
Le Femme Nikita by Luc Besson -best french espionage film in history, period.
John Carpenter's They Live (starring Rowdy Roddy Piper) is monumental 80s;
A must see for any sci-fi fan (this was one of the very first video tapes Eye ever had.)

Ronin is an all time fave as is Pulp Fiction of course.
Reservoir Dogs, King Of New York and Dobermann are very cool too but Smoke rules!

My friend Tonno Rotunno introduced me to an italian production called Cemetery Man,
the original title is Dellamorte Dellamore but in Spain they called it Mi Novia Es un Zombie.

Also check out Midnight Express which is a very hard film based on a true story
about a young dude caught in Turkey with a belly strap full of smoky chocolate.

Eye will not add you if there is no intention of communicating.
Eye would like some interaction with the people who are on my list.
So Eye will add you judging from what's in the message you send me.
