Swedish electroclash band Alice in Videoland have followed the digital release of their third album, She's a Machine, with a new CD version on Artoffact Records. Three bonus tracks are included that were not available on the digital version: "Open Your Eyes," "Numb (Single Edit)" and "We Are Rebels (Single Edit)." For a limited time, Artoffact is also including a new remix download when you order from their site, along with two AiV buttons and a 17-track, limited-edition compilation of label acts, Artoffact Records Volume 1. After the huge success of the first edition that saw a total of more than 2,400 people during four phases, the kinetic energy is coming back to the Usine C. Festival Kinetik 2.0 will make you move with its inner force of celebrating electro-industrial noise music from May 14th to May 17th, 2009. Don't miss this unique event, that once again for its second edition will bring you bands from all around the world and includes a special place for Canadian acts, to explore electro-industrial-noise music and its different styles from the last 25 years...

...According to the evolution of electronic music, including its obscure branches, and to its more known branches, this inner force, reflected in electronic music wants to lead to the maximum of senses towards new horizons. The Festival Kinetik with is 4 levels, starting with the Opening Night (phase 1 - Thursday May 14th), towards the harsh industrial dimension (phase 2 - Friday May 15th), towards the rhythmic noise night (phase 3 - Saturday May 16th), to finish with the EBM (Electronic Body Music) night (phase 4 - Sunday May 17th). The Festival Kinetik is a reflection of electronic music and its evolution during the last 25 years. It touches more that one style of music and will bring a lot of attention to
the Canadian scene, with many internationals acts and a special place for Canadians bands.

Promoter Apathademon presents the industrial festival, The Awakening, set to take place November 29 at Reggie's Rock Club in Chicago, Illinois. The event's lineup includes legendary Funker Vogt, in their only US appearance, Lady Parasyte, Pyrotechniq, DJ Noir, DJ Mama C, and the Noir Dolls. ReGen Magazine, an online dark electronic music publication with an office in San Francisco, is looking for multiple people for Web Developer positions. There is no minimum time commitment; that’s completely up to you. Someone living in the Bay Area would be ideal, but all applicants will be considered with equal weight.

We’re an online magazine that covers electronic music, with specific focus on the genres of industrial, EBM and synthpop. Other positions are available; inquire for details.

Here's the description:

Web Developer

Will directly assist the Editor with a variety of tasks including:

  1. Developing new features for the site; we are currently redesigning and rearranging our site.
  2. Maintaining and debugging existing codebase and tweaking it or modifying it when necessary.
  3. Maintaining our three servers (main Web site, radio/podcasts and Staff Web site). Experience administering servers, changing hosting companies and migrating from one server to another is very helpful.

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of PHP, HTML, Unix (Apache) and mySQL are essential. Javascript experience is also helpful.
  2. Familiarity with the PostNuke content management system. Our site is version 0.750.
  3. Familiarity with "new" technologies like RSS, podcasting and blogging is preferred.
  4. Must write standards-compliant code that is optimized for specified browsers.
  5. Must use an instant messenger service to communicate regularly (AIM, MSN or Yahoo)
  6. Ability to check and troubleshoot your own work is critical.
  7. Trustworthiness and reliability.
