First off, I want to recommend a great book - "How the Irish Saved Civilization" - by Thomas Cahill. It's a real eye-opener!

Check out my new CD, "Winter Sounds"...
It's at CDBaby.com, Indierhythm.com, iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and a bunch of other digital sites.
Some sheet music is available - "Suite of the Blessing Moon" is available thru Sylvia Wood's Harp Center, or you can find links to it at my site, Stringdance.com
The CD has been written up as, "A feast of new Celtic music for a variety of ensembles: Celtic harp, viola, flute, full orchestra, using modern and ancient instruments. The music of "Winter Sounds" is a gift from the Gods and Goddesses of the Celtic tradition. It is a journey through the Celtic Soul."
Here are a reviewer's words posted at CD Baby:
Colors & rhythms of enchantment; delightful.

Don't choose a favorite or you'll be limiting yourself! I've listened and relistened to this unique CD finding new sounds and colors. One is easily transported to the solitude of winter and the reflective thoughts of this season. There is power and clarity in the writing and performing of these selections; I am enjoying it immensely. I have recommended it to my violin students - the words from them "It rocks!" My words, "Invest in the experience of new sounds that bring Beauty". Bravo, Sylvia Mann -
(Thanks, Rebecca!)
Y'all come back soon!
