Okay, this is my first blog ever! Isn't that exciting!? No? Well, I don't blame you for thinking that. Anyway... Do you know today is the 25th Anniversary of the emoticon? What did we do without them?  ;-)  A friend of mine did her masters thesis on them.  Kinda interesting.

I'm trying to write more songs. It's so hard to find the time with a little guy around demanding 100% of my attention. I just finished a song called Seeing Grace in the Dark or Seeking Grace in the Dark.  Not sure which title I like better. It sort of grew out of teaching myself to play Roseanne Cash's version of Save the Country, an old Laura Nyro tune. It's beautiful if you've never heard it. But anyway, I love the chords and key it's in and it led me to write this tune.
