Hi all

We've just uploaded a track from the Blue Shaddy Vault. We discovered it amongst random recordings recently.

The track is called Crab Boy. It was recorded in Jim's back verandah in 1999. The song was never played before then and hasn't been played since.

It existed for that moment in time and was totally spontaneous.

Feel free to download it and pass it around.

Cheers
Blue Shaddy

AWWWWWWSUMMMMMMMM!!!!!
I cannot remember going from zero knowledge to hard-core fan in the space of 3 or 4 hours on anything ....

Thanks to Juls for surfing the net one wet saturday arvo to find out what was on and saying check these blokes out I think you'd like em..... like em I damn near followed them home and offered to wash their cars!!!

High Voltage, original and tight, the energy and zeal with which Jim, Belly and Arun belted out their original tunes with gusto times a gazillion made every song sound like I knew.... a tribute to the both the songwriter and the musos who delivered it.

I recently saw Ian Moss (ex Cold Chisel for those that don't know... and I am suprised at how many don't) do a 30 minute acoustic set and Jim is right up there with him on the ability to make six strings and two hands sound like an orchestra of blues/funk and just when you think it can't go anywhere else Belly contorts his tongue around his harp, jumps up and down like a younger hairier version of Peter Garret (before he went into politics) and defys both gravity and all know laws of physics to infiltrate another dimension of acoustic mayhem that becomes a simply brilliant and uniquely personal style of harmonica playing with an electric edge. I am sorry I missed hearing Sandy play but Arun made up for it with his inimitable barefooted percussion style that perfectly complemented the boys out front and I was not dissapointed when the legendary chicken box came out for his signature front row hand dance.

Thanks to the power of myspace I could listen to the four tracks off their latest album (which I bought on the night and played on the way home as well) and re-affirm my decision to brave a coolish night in Perth at the Indi Bar in Scarborough - so big thank you to whoever put your "space" together - it works!

Thanks to Blueshaddy and Juls and I will definitely be at your next Perth gig!!! please put me on your e-mailing list and bring some of your previous albums as I would have bought them all if you had them there last night.

Kindest regards

Coxy & Juls
