Casa Bar

Set - Inbetweens - Spectaculat To Shine - Kisses Are Priceless - Someplace Special - Let You Go, Now - Like Diamonds - Sunday Morning Kisses (First Place/Second Rate) - Blue Eyed Girl - Now She's Gone - ...Listening To Glenn Miller - Lights Out - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - Myths In The Mist - Viva La Diva - The Last Time But Next Time.

Well what can be said about this gig? The new songs went well...and that's about it really. It was a bad day at the office, but it was a Tamworth gig and mostly they always go a bit wrong. Onwards and upwards I guess.

See you at Subside in a few weeks.

The Soak

Set - Someplace Special - The Last Time, But Next Time - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - Sunday Morning Kisses (First Place/Second Rate) - Now She's Gone - Inbetweens - Blue Eyed Girl - Myths In The Mist - Lights Out - Viva La Diva. Also 9 To 5 was in there somewhere.

It was a good little gig. Very nice place is The Soak. Enjoyed ourselves, despite the smell of the Phantom Farter. I managed to make a very interesting sound with my guitar during Blue Eyed Girl which I've never made before and hopefully will never make again.

Back in Tamworth at Casa Bar on Thursday. See you there.

The Fox

Set - The Last Time, But Next Time - Myths In The Mist - Spectacular To Shine - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - Inbetweens - Blue Eyed Girl - Don't Look Back In Anger - 2,4,6,8 Motorway - Cute Without The "E" (Cut From The Team) - Someplace Special - Viva La Diva - Kisses Are Priceless.

Really enjoyed last night. Thought we played very well. It was good to play to a full room. And had a really good night after. Even the guests played well, except Dan, he'll never make a tambourine player.

We'd like to say a massive thank you to Craig Francis and Paul Dawson to playing with us and to Sam, Dan and Ad Smith for doing a turn with us. Thank you to all those who bought a CD, and finally to everyone who turned up. Cheers everyone.

The Moseley Arms

Set - Speectacular To Shine - Viva La Diva - Kisses Are Priceless - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - Like Diamonds - Someplace Special - Let You Go, Now - The Last Time But Next Time.

After an awful start to Spectacular To Shine, things picked up and this turned out to be a very good gig. I enjoyed playing last night. It was nice for all the other bands to stick around, something which we've not seen for a while. Like Diamonds wasn't going to be played, but some folks twisted Kev and Dave's arms and just for them we played it. It was ok, it's going to be a good song.

Our next gig is at The Fox in Dosthill and is our CD release party/piss up.

See you there.

Current mood:  accomplished
Island Bar 30th Sept 09

Set - Viva La Diva - Someplace Special - Blue Eyed Girl - ...Listening To Glenn Miller - My Lady Lover - Let You Go, Now - Spectacular To Shine - The Last Time, But Next Time

After many delays, endless carpark searches and the discovery of a lovely lemon scented bar, the mighty Imogen's Kiss just about managed to stay awake long enough to perform.  Good job we did too because it actually turned out to be a decent gig.  We played a good tight set and Wilson remembered the lyrics for once.  We even managed to throw in a couple of older songs which went down well.

There is one minor medical concern.  I think i might have witnessed the demise of Wilsons bladder.  He must have ran off to the toilet about 15 times before we went on stage.  That cant be a sign of good health, unless he was doing some warm up excercises.

Thanks to Jesus Dave for having us, and thanks to the usual suspects for making the effort.

See you at the next one.

Set - Spectacular To Shine - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - Viva La Diva - Let You Go Now - Blue Eyed Girl - Inbetweens - Someplace Special - Sunday Morning Kisses (First Place, Second Rate) - The Last Time, But Next Time.

Not a bad gig, but I had a howler. Forgot the words to one of the songs and I still can't remember them now. Other than that and mixing songs up and losing the ability to read a set list, it was good.

I'd like to thank the Usual Suspects for coming to watch, but none of them were there. We'll have to look into this.

See you on the 30th at Island Bar

Flapper & Firkin

Set - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - Sunday Morning Kisses (First Place, Second Rate) - inbetweens - Bluie Eyed Girl - Someplace Special - Now She's Gone - Let You Go, Now - Viva La Diva - Cute Without The "E" (Cut From The Team)

Other than me royally messing up Cute With Out The "E", this was a decent gig. I was looking forward to this as it was out first acoustic gig. We did well. I ejoyed it. It made a nice change from having to jump about a bit on stage. The other bands we're all grand as well. I'd like to think we'd do more acoustic gig, but we'll have to discuss this further.

Thanks to those who came and thanks to Kimberley for doing a bit of singing and tambourine shaking.

See you at Nicole's

Scruffy Murphy's

Set - Spectaular To Shine - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - Let You Go, Now - Myths In The Mist - Someplace Special - Sunday Morning Kisses (First Place Second Rate) - Inbetweens - Blue Eyed Girl - Kisses Are Priceless - Beautiful Breakdowns - Viva La Diva - The Last Time, But Next Time.

Probably the sweatiest gig we're ever played. But a very good gig none the less. The Christmas theme was good fun and we even got a bit of Rudolph The Red Nosed Riendeer in there for good measure. I enjoyed it and I think the people there did to.

Thanks to Nerve Centre for asking us to play. Thanks to everyone who came (special thinks to Mary Margaret & Bret).

See you at The Flapper & Firkin next Sunday.

Set - The Last Time, But Next Time - Viva La Diva - Someplace Special - Blue Eyed Girl - Spectacular To Shine - Inbetweens - Roses & Newspapers (Turned Out This Way) - My Lady Lover/Let's Do It, Let's Fall In Love/Ice, Ice Baby/Ticket To Ride/Silly Love Songs/Buck Rogers

No matter what happen at this gig, this gig is going to be known as "The Ice, Ice Baby Gig". I really enjoyed last night. We played well and people still comment on how good Viva La Diva is, which is still good to hear. There were a couple of mistakes but nothing serious. But it was a really good gig. And it's alsway good to play with Mivvi, they are a quality band and nice people to boot. We stuck a couple of old songs in as a treat because we're having July off and coming back in August. Hopefully with a new song.

See you in August at Scruffy Murphy's.

Set - Myths In The Mist - Let You Go, Now - Viva La Diva - Someplace Special - Spectacular To Shine - Blue Eyed Girl - Inbetweens - Sunday Morning Kisses (First Place, Second Rate) - Good Intentions Are Bad Idea's - The Last Time But Next Time - My Own Worst Enemy.

We actually played really well, excluding My Own Worst Enemy, last night. I enjoyed it even though it was empty. There isn't much else I can say about this gig really.

See you at Casa on the 18th
