There will be a finalists' show (for 12 artists including myself) on June 7 at 4pm at Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore, PA. Details on my myspace page...
I hope you'll be able to make it out!

Happy news! I have recieved copies of my new EP, entitled After The Dawn. So I can now officially announce the release!
After The Dawn, a 5-song EP, will be released on CDBaby.com on or around Monday Feb. 2. There you will be able to either buy the physical CD or download the full EP (mp3).
So on Feb. 2, or maybe a little before, check http://cdbaby.com/briandilts2 and take a listen to samples and then either buy the CD or mp3 version (which will include album art)! Additionally, I am now streaming the first two songs right on my website, without having to stay on the same page. As long as you are navigating through briandilts.com the music will continue to stream. You can always hit "stop", but I wouldn't recommend it. ;)
Also, if you like, go to my myspace page and you can hear EVERY song from the EP (for a limited time!)
I'll make an announcement when it's officially available. Until then, enjoy the streaming!

"General Motors had to do what Roosevelt told them they had to do. The same thing has to happen now. President-elect Obama has to say to them, 'yes, we're going to use this money to save these jobs but we're not going to build these gas-guzzling, unsafe vehicles any longer. So, we're going to put these companies into some sort of receivership and we, the government, are going to hold the reigns on these companies. And they are to build mass transit, they are to build hybrid cars, they are to build cars that use little or no gasoline, because we're facing a national crisis.'" -- Michael Moore on Larry King Live, Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

"I've wondered for years, actually, why the chairmen of these companies don't just get in a Honda or a Toyota and drive it around the block. I think one drive around the block, they'd figure out that 'geez, this isn't bad, no wonder people buy these cars.' But their arrogance has prevented them from doing that. ... What I think is ironic and, again, hypocritical on the part of Congress is that they're holding back. He (Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid) can't get the votes to bail out the auto companies because that's going to help a lot of blue-collar people -- people that don't have a voice, who don't have lobbyists fighting for them on Capitol Hill -- but, boy, as soon as the banks or the financial institutions or the people that just gambled the money away, as soon as they were wanting some dough, boy the trough was just laid out for them. 'Line right up. Take whatever you want. Sure, no problem!' You know, everybody was there to vote for that, but when it came time, now, to help the people, the working class of this country, it's like 'oh I don't know about that.'" -- Michael Moore on Larry King Live, Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

I hear billions of people who don't know how to speak And there's one thing that I know: one of them is me There's a fear in my heart and I hope it's for nothing But it keeps me awake at night and tells me just one thing :Everything's turned upside down It's raining all over this town:
I see a mouth in the ocean that's drinking only poison I see rivers out of motion and the bays that are frozen All because of the things that we've done and the paths that we've chosen It's the thin layer in the sky that the Earth is enclosed in :Everything's turned upside down And it's raining all over this town:
I hear a girl outside my window, she laughs but inside she's crying I see cameras that are spying and politicians that are lying I hear an ocean wave crashing and a dead clown laughing I see guns on the street, and a million flags half-staffing :Everything's turned upside down And it's raining all over this town:

I'm performing at Burlap and Bean on Wednesday night as part of the Philly Songwriters Free Music Wednesdays. I'll be playing a few new songs that are going to be on my upcoming self-titled EP. Please come on out if you're local to the Philly area (it's in Newtown Square, a few miles outside of Philly)!
Here are some websites:
burlapandbean.com
phillysongwriters.com

As always, you can purchase my first album, Outside Looking In, on iTunes and CD Baby, as well as many other digital music sites.
Check out my website (above) for updates, or my blog (briandilts.blogspot.com) for random thoughts, links and lyrics.
Hope you're all enjoying your summer!
Brian
