Dirty disco, sundrenched balearic, sleazy deep house, lazy punk funk… they all describe the sounds of our Springtime guest, Woolfy.
 
Originally from the UK, Woolfy has been based in LA for the last couple of decades with the liquid sunshine of the city seeping into the unique productions that he creates.
 
Releasing solo material under his Woolfy moniker as well as his collaborations with Dan Hastie as Woolfy vs Projections, Woolfy has built up an impressive catalogue with his creative output peaking in recent years with two studio albums released in the last twelve months.
 
The first ‘The Astral Projections of Starlight’ LP under his Woolfy vs Projections alias, received rave reviews for it’s low slung balearic meets cosmic flavour with standout cuts Absynth, Return of Starlight and Neeve each given 12” single releases. Released on tastemaking German powerhouse Permanent Vacation, fans of the album include high profile jocks like Jazzanova, Rub & Tug, James Murphy, Aeroplane & Todd Terje.
 
Woolfy’s most recent album “If You Know What’s Good For Ya” has just been released through legendary NYC imprint DFA/Rong and hops through genres freely with elements of new wave, guitar laden nu-disco and more vocal pop scattered throughout.
 
It’s been a while since the Future Classic Label Night stormed the basement of the Civic, so come down and get on the boards with Woolfy on the decks for a night that’ll see us getting cosmic, deep, balearic and disco all at once.
