Never mind the "Ho! Ho! Ho!" it's time for a Cheeky "WOW! WOW! WOW!"

Colourful Romanian pop duo the Cheeky Girls are making a Christmas bid to oust Santa from centre stage, with the release of their re-launch album "In My Mind… is a different world (a Cheeky one!)."24^th Dec 2007,Digital Downloads.

The girls, who shot to fame on T.V. talent show "Pop Stars: The Rivals," keep their distinctive cheeky image on the new release.  The album includes titles as diverse as "Farmyard Hokey" (also launched as a single and featuring their young niece Lorena), a sexy cover of Right Said Fred's "I'm too Sexy," "Do you drive a V8" , "Wow!"…

Gabriela and Monica became an instant and saucy hit with The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum) in 2002.  They stormed the international pop world in 2003, achieving top 10 singles in 27 countries, though so far they've been denied a number 1 UK hit.

25 year old identical twin Gabriela says "In My Mind'' is certainly more original than listening to those same Christmas songs you hear every year.  So Santa's got some cheeky competition – us!  For people who've had enough of Ho! Ho! Ho! our album offers real Wow! Wow! Wow!  We've had three UK number 2's, so fingers crossed "In my mind" makes it to the top of the charts.  Our fans worldwide are always fantastic for us, and we hope they love the new album as much as we enjoyed making it."

Gabriela and Monica always perform together, and their act is famous for their skimpy outfits and sexy dance routines.  But twin sister Monica claims they aim for a broad appeal.  "It is true our act is a bit cheeky, but we always think of ourselves as a duo who can entertain any audience.  The new album reflects this and you won't be able to resist dancing to the catchy tunes.  "In my mind" is a lot of fun, and young and older people who just want to have a good time out should find it easy to have a go on the dance floor when our new songs come on."

Gabriela, who hit the headlines when she started dating MP Lembit Öpik, says she and Monica – also rumoured to have many high profile suitors - follow their own advice.  'STAY COOL! STAY CHEEKY!' As an additional challenge to Santa, while promoting the album launch, the Cheeky Girls turned on more Christmas Lights around the UK than any other pop act in 2007!
