Hola people that read the best blog in the world. Actually, I disagree with the presentation of blogs in myspace, it's quite poor and uninspired. Like wearing a police uniform with a beret. But anyway! This might be a little late, but I have to make posts about anything that I'm involved musically with in this myspace profile. My personal...well, public/personal dooda is all in my xanga. Very Asian, I know...but hey, I am. I collaborated with Nikki Malvar a few weeks back, a great vocalist bud of mine through High School, before Uni started for most of us (for those who don't know, I'm lugging my buttocks to UNSW three days a week in order to fulfill the requirements for a B.A in Media and Communications) and produced a track of her song, " Sorry seems to be". Nikki's songwriting is very much a splice of eclecticness. If I were to describe her works I'd probably say they were melancholy though catchy ballads studded with vocal scoops and the occasional hook. Her lyrics in my opinion most oftenly connect to the tune well...e.g - Sadness with Sadness, Happiness with Happiness, Murderous rage with Murderous rage. Unlike my tunes which can have the most depressing lyrics with a happy-happy-joy-joy melodic mask. But yes, with that said I implore you to check out her works here! (or http://www.myspace.com/nikkimalvar) While I'm on the collaboration topic, I also have to mention that I did another collab with Alicia for the Chime Plushy project and like our previous collabs it was to my belief, a success. Alicia wrote the lyrics and I helped with the production/song base...it's called " We Love Love" and you can check it out here! ALSO! If you can, check out my latest track (it would be quite old by now), " Breathness of Short" here and tell me what you think! That'd be much appreciated mangs and womangs! (: Anyway, take care everymanwoman and if you're thrusting (awkward word, I know) into Uni, clean your shoes cause you can. Adios.

Well, for those who don't know I met up with a good friend of mine called Alicia twice for a collaboration which turned out quite neat. We churned out a tune, "Recollections" and she added some backing vocals to my latest effort, "Bonding Session." If you wish to check it out, click here! Enjoy the tunes my friends and minions (if there are minions) Adios!

Edit: 4/9/06 - 0 Discs Left! Sorry! Two days ago I offered 20 demo discs (7 tracks) free of charge to quite a number of students in my local vicinity (Cherrybrook/Pennant Hillsy area). They ran out today. I'm currently burning another batch of 20 for anyone who remains interested and lives in Cherrybrook or knows someone who can hand it to them from Cherrybrook. I know this is poor but I find adding random myspace person after person daunting and quite unfair. Also, I'm aiming to get "genuine" reviews/feedback on my efforts. -.-" Anyhow, give me a buzz/comment if you are interested and you meet the requirements...lol. Thanks for listening, ~Chumpy

Yes, it turns out that I'm going to be on quite an hiatus. Two weeks to be exact, a little more even. Reason? I'm still in school and I have my trial exams. Won't go too in depth about that crud, you all know how it is. Well, in NSW, Australia that is. I'm actually posting this 30 minutes before my English Area of Study exam, keeping it real...haha. I suppose I'll check into the myspace.com in little increments, do the stuff that myspaceans do etc. for less than 10 minutes, lol. Anyhow, for those undergoing exams, do well. It's skill, not luck...haha...and music CAN be your therapy in these times, if you make it. In the meantime, feel free to scour my acidplanet songs, there are three profiles loaded with content that you may or may not enjoy. Just a suggestion, don't shoot! Cheers, ~Chumpy.

Although this wasn't a response to my call for collaboration, I did get the opportunity to collaborate with a very melodically talented musician called Will Boyce through Acidplanet. Over the past two or so weeks, we've been listening to each others tracks, sharing ideas, talking about our histories and pretty much making a great connection through music. We're quite a distance apart, I being from a quiet suburb in Sydney, and he being from the busy northern part of California. We're the same age, so it didn't take long for us to make an agreement, I enjoyed his catchy instrumental compositions immensely and he dug my guitar melodies and vocals (my vocals? lol). Will's compositions are all instrumental, but the intricacy he works into them makes them more than admirable to listen to. His songs have a "homely" feel, that is, he uses more natural means to project his sounds. For instance, for percussion he doesn't use the load of a drum kit, he thumps and taps the backside of his acoustic guitar, in the same style of a congo. His guitaring has a sweet, cute flavour to it, most of his pieces leave you wincing with glee. He switches between the use of nylon and steel strings in each song, which I think is something...that I should do. Hah. I on the other hand, have you know...songs with vocal harmony, drums, you know. It was funny, I visited his profile and listened to his tracks without knowing that he'd done the same to me much earlier and had sent me an e-mail requesting collaboration. After being enthralled by his tracks I sent an e-mail to him asking whether I could lay some vocal tracks on his instrumentals (I had some ideas), and I felt like a complete tool when I found that he had sent me one earlier. Anyhow, to make this long tale a little shorter, we collabed. Our first collab was "The Dinner Party" a sweet, subtle slow narrative of a song where I wrote the lyrics and put on a vocal track with some very lazy sounding vocals. Our second was...well, I'll let you find out. The link to his instrumental profile is here, however if you want to hear our collaborations check out his alternate collaborations profile. Thank you, if you read more than fifteen words of this post. Peace.

Edit: I've had a few requests for collabs, but that doesn't change the fact that I wouldn't mind doing more! :) You might be wondering what the whole project is about. Well, I don't need to define project, right?
The Chumpy Project '06 is just my attempt to welcome people to collaborate with me through Acidplanet.com, because I'm yet to have the experience and am keen to do so.
If you are genuinely interested in doing so, please contact me at pinthetailon_chumpy@hotmail.com and we'll try and work something out.
If I seem a little pushy here, please warn me! I just heart music.
Adios.

Hello people.
This profile is pretty much about the music I make. This is probably the largest step I've taken in opening up my musical side to the people. I don't know what else I can talk about, unless you can spark something. I have a Xanga account which I've been using for a little less than 4 years and I plan to continue to use it for my rantings.
If you have any queries about anything, I guess you can just comment.
Remember, my acidplanet features my latest songs (I don't know at what rate I should upload streaming songs to Myspace because the streaming on Myspace is quite poor) at better bit rates for streaming. If you're not a broadband user just give me a buzz and I'll arrange a file transfer.
Reviews/Feedback for my music are greatly appreciated, apart from Acidplanet, I need some sort of social direction!
Cheers!
