Description:As many of you know, recently, we lost one of our members, Soror Penny Allen-Smith. After a fight with breast cancer, she was given her needed rest on December 28, 2008. In memory of our beloved soror, the Dallas, TX Colony of Chi Zeta Theta would like to give back the community of breast cancer survivors.
Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Young Survival Coalition will host the 9th Annual Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer in Dallas, TX from Friday, February 27 – Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
We hope you will save the date to join us!
This annual conference is a collaborative effort and is specifically designed for women diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 45 who have unique concerns and issues as compared to their post-menopausal counterparts. This year the conference spans a three-day program, and the group expects to bring together nearly 1000 breast cancer survivors and those who support them for an empowering and informative weekend. You can learn more about this year’s conference, along with previous years’, at

Since the conference is not based in the Dallas, TX area, they are hoping to enlist support in spreading the word about this unique conference. Most important, they need volunteers to assist with the conference on-site. Volunteer tasks include conference tote bag stuffing, registration, greeting, meeting room monitors, etc.
If you are able to volunteer, please contact the Dazzling Divas of the Dallas, TX Colony via email at DFW_CZT@yahoo.com
