Wow!

I was speechless after being named the 2007 SOWI Songwriter of the year at the annual awards banquet held in Neenah, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 15th.

I am truly appreciative and what an honor it is.  Thank You SO MUCH to all the folks out there that have enjoyed my music the last 25 years,.... Believe me,...there is still a lot more to come! :o)

It was also Awesome to see that 2 of my songs recieved Top Honors in the Awards this year.  "She Dreams" took home top honors in the Country-Rock Category,  and "9 Tmes Out Of 10" brought home the gold in the "open" category, while also taking the runner-up spot in the traditional Category.

Cool News!

My song "VEGAS", co-written with my good friend Julie Carter-Moriva and sang by our very talented and beautiful friend Meghan Linsey,....Took home 1st place honors as "Song Of The Year" in the Modern Country Category of the 2006 SOWI Awards held in Neenah, WI  back in September.  I was pleasantly suprised when my name was called.  I have always loved the tune, and now I guess it has some "validation" :o)    Now, lets hope it gets picked up by someone and the Nation can sing along to it!

Hey There friends!

I truly appreciate y'all stoppin' by and checking out my music.  I've been writing for more years than half of the folks profiles that I visit have lived!!! :o)   I truly believe that in this crazy and very political business,.....sometimes the songs get LOST in all the B.S.    As you can see, I reside in Wisconsin and I try to get down to Music City as much as I can,....and sometimes that is difficult.  My family comes first,..and they support my love of music 110%,...so when I DO get the opportunity to make that 12 hour trek down there,....Their love, support, and hope,....just gives me the shivvers~~~ Where I live,..I'm a Big fish in a small pond,..and it's difficult sometimes to explain to people how this business really works.  They have so much faith in me and that means the world!     Thanks to all the very AWESOME friends I have made down in Nashville through the years, I realize that those relationships are priceless.  Those of you who know me,..or hopefully someday will get to know me,....know that what ya see,...Is what ya get.      I feel God put me here to make music and to cheer people up.  I have sacrificed so much trying to persue my dreams through the years,  I guess all I'm looking for is validation,....ya know,...That universal "atta-boy" :o)    I truly believe if you go about being honest in this life and do the best ya can,...the worst thing that will happen,...is you'll make Great Friends! :o)    So, for this, my First Blog,,...there ya have it :o)     Isn't it great to find your new favorite song everytime you write one?  :o)
