I took my time to get back and tell you something about the last 2 days. Very hectic time.

Saturday we closed the mix of Britpop Lovers. We've cut the intro of piano & acoustics and left a powerul drums fill opening the track. So feels like in a while you're just into the middle of the song. Groove, handclaps, electrics: welcome british pop, we were waiting for you. The song is about 3 mins but you can find all you need: verse, bridge, refrain, middle 8 and also a coda. Really funny.

Yesterday the gig went well. I caught a train to Modena while the rest of Pipers reached the place by car. We all met at 18 and 30 mins later we had the sound check. The Charlatans had it before. We've been in trouble with the guitar ampli but we sorted it out and all sounded brilliant.
Just the time for a delayed dinner and we were on stage at 21: 10.
A 30 mins gig, 7 songs, people enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. This is what matters most I think.

Then we enojoyed The Charlatans gig. They're great performers, the sound was big and the songs really groovy: we couldn't ask for more. After the show we spent some time with them. I've been having chats with Tim and have to say he's a really kind guy. I think it's hard to find great artists as nice as him. He's the man you know what I mean yeah?

And so we came to Monday. Today we mixed Eveline. It's a particular song, it's basically a sixties acoustic song but we tried to put together 2 different things, the psychedelic vibes in the verse and the brightness in the refrain. The idea of this song is simple: to put together the acoustic instruments (guitars, piano and viola) and some noisy and filtered organs and synths. We created a kind of dark background for this song and I like it. The melody is strong: chance for being a single? Let's see.

Tomorrow we'll deal with Save The Tears.

we got a fuckin great news. we're gonna support The Charlatans this sunday.
if you remember, we already have been opening act in february.
so it's nice to meet them once again, we hope to do good things.

after the gig we're staying 2 weeks in milan to mix the debut album. really hectic and exciting time we guess.

Hi all

and so we got back to our space and time. I promised I'd have said something about the gigs we played in Uk and so here I am. Both of our gigs were planned for Sunday 24th. So the day before we went to Elevator Studios to spend there a whole day. So let me say something about this: huge experience, without any doubt. A comfortable place, an old hammond and a top equipment: I couldn't ask for more I guess. The Zutons and The Coral are used to record here.

We recorded a song for a compilation. It's called  "Photograph" and seems like we reached a good compromise between a classic seventies mood and a modern and smoothy indie sound. Can't wait to let you have a listen. The sound is so vintage and acoustic. Well done.

The gigs.
Mathew Street Festival was great. A big crowd surrounding the stage in Williamson Square, just four songs but that's enough to let them have a good time. When we finished they all looked really up for us. After the gigs we've just had the time for some interviews then we moved to Creamfields quite quickly.

Creamfields was also good. But not really. I mean, I could tell you about the greatest gig we've ever played. But I won't. To be honest I think this wasn't the right choice for an indie band. Loads and loads of people were wandering all the area looking for drinks, beer and discos. Waiting for kasabian, they just wanted to dance and shake their fookin mind and ass. This isn't my perfect kind of situation. But I thought everytime you can get experienced, in every kind of contest, you must. And so fuck'em all, let's get the stage and play. Quite brilliant, we did our job with no regrets.

After Creamfields we went back to Liverpool and enjoyed the rest of the night.
In the following days we met a lot of strange people, we spreaded our name and saw Johnny Walker playing in Church Street. It's always a pleasure to meet this guy on the road, we also bumped into him the first time we came to Liverpool. He's in Pipers top friends so come and give him a listen.    

In the end I'd love to thank Raphael Bramont from Starframes (check out Pipers top friends, they're on top). He's the musician, you know what I mean. He's not used to play the bass (he's singer and guitarist) but our Stefano B. couldn't get Liverpool so I asked him to join the band on bass for a while. He did his job and also put the bass into the track at Elevator's.
Everything was good, it seems.

Hi guys

hope you are all ok. just dropping a line on myspace using the internet connection at the hostel. My good friend Starluy is staying with me at the pc. We are in Manchester. Quite different from Liverpool. we played mathew street and creamfields and had a lot of fun. crazy people everywhere, always ready to say hello and start talking.

After the gigs we moved to Manchester and still we are here at the moment. Yesterday we went at ruby lounge just to see Silvertin, a fucking good band from Leeds. and I fucking love them.

Manchester is bigger than liverpool and all seem to be wider. But for every place you go there's something new you can learn. So let's see what happens.

I'll get back soon to say how the gigs in Liverpool went.

Hi folks

in the next days we'll leave Italy and get Liverpool. Once again. After the great time we spent over there just some months ago, we're about to rejoin that city. We'll play some shows at Creamfields and Mathew Street Music Festival on Streetwaves stage but still can't say when. So the gigs we've put on myspace are just indicative but surely we'll be able to give you more news once we're in Liverpool.

Oh, I nearly forgot to tell you we'll be spending a whole day at Elevator Studios (The Coral, The Zutons, The Rascals, The Wombats, The Kooks and many more), working on a brand new track to be featured in a compilation. More details along the way.

We hope to see friendly faces over there.
