LEVITATED RECORDINGS LVTD010 - TACTILE, SPINLINE, MUNK & NAIBU / ASC + THIRD RAIL (out now on limited promo):a | TACTILE, SPINLINE, MUNK & NAIBU 'cold nights'Fresh off the amazing "Antarctica" on LVTD009, the Budapest & Paris combination of TACTILE, SPINLINE, MUNK & NAIBU set their sights for darker territories with "Cold Nights". Deceptively simple, "Cold Nights" sets the scene with sharp beats and a deep, driving bassline. Subtle atmospheric effects fade in and out to accentuate the dark and techy soundscapes. Winter may be around the corner, but "Cold Nights" will keep the fires burning in any set. b | ASC & THIRD RAIL 'deep warp' With releases on numerous labels including his own Covert Operations imprint, ASC has long been recognized as one of the driving forces behind melodic-yet-dancefloor drum & bass. For his debut Levitated release, ASC and partner THIRD RAIL take things in a slightly different direction with the spellbinding "Deep Warp." Driving beats, dirty analog synths and a deep electro bassline combine with mutated hip-hop vocals snippets for a tune that is sure to be noticed...both on the dancefloor and in your headphones. (on white label promo now. Full release in December 2008)

Levitated Recordings enters 2008 in fine style, with the long-awaited full release of Method One "Northstar" / Method One & Stunna "Memento" (LVTD008) in stores this week! But that's not all...promos for LVTD009 -- Break "Liveevil" / Tactile, Spinline, Munk & Naibu "Antarctica" -- are also making the rounds. Read on for more! NEW/UPCOMING VINYL RELEASES:(distributed worldwide through Nu-Urban Music) LEVITATED RECORDINGS LVTD008 (In stores this week!): a - METHOD ONE 'northstar' The bells in the intro might distract you from the slowly gathering storm, but watch out — the shimmering guitar textures and a deceptively simple rising progression are merely to set the mood. Before you know it, the bassline switches and things get darker as you are propelled toward the track's conclusion. Combining a solid dancefloor presence with lots of unexpected details, this is an epic tune in the pure Levitated tradition.b - METHOD ONE & STUNNA 'memento' All secrets will be revealed as Method One joins Chicago's ever-productive Stunna (Fokuz, Phuzion, BIOS, Phunkfiction) for this smoothed-out roller. The big synth bassline catches your attention right away, but it's the details that will keep you coming back — the lush pads, the subtle references to atmospheric d&b classics, the tight percussion elements and the gorgeous melodic synth solo. LEVITATED RECORDINGS LVTD009 (On promo now!): a - BREAK 'liveevil' When you consider the sheer volume of tracks and remixes that Break has been responsible for—including the epic "Motion Design / Future" duo on Levitated 6—there's one question that must be asked: Can he do any wrong? With one listen to the long-awaited release of "Liveevil", the answer is a resounding NO. Full of dark, techy goodness from beginning to end, this is classic Break doing what he does best. b - TACTILE, SPINLINE, MUNK & NAIBU 'antarctica' It's long been recognized that Budapest, Hungary is a hotspot for amazing drum & bass production. For their debut Levitated release, three of Budapest's hottest production names—Tactile, Spinline and Munk—join forces with Paris up-and-comer Naibu for a trip to colder climates. "Antarctica" is a study in balance, with pulsing dancefloor bass and drums providing a rock-solid framework for deep emotional string and vocal passages.

Over the course of the label's history, quite a few people have enquired about sending demos to Levitated Recordings. Now that we finally have a page on Myspace, we would like to take a few minutes to talk about demos and the best/easiest way to send your music to Levitated. - First off: YES, Levitated does accept demos and would very much like to hear what people are working on. But before sending us a file or a link, we would suggest that you listen to some of our back catalogue (clips are available at http://www.levitated.org or on this myspace page) and see if your music fits with the Levitated style. - Please only send us completed tracks to review; sending a 30 second clip of some loops you have been experimenting with doesn't help anyone. - The best way to get a file to us is to stick it on an FTP site and send us the link so we can download it. If you don't have access to your own FTP site, there are plenty of sites (such as yousendit.com) that are available to use for free. Thanks for your interest in Levitated Recordings--we look forward to hearing from you!
