Hi Everyone,Exciting news!!!!!!!! Punk Fitness Detroit has been asked to be on the Health Works segment on Fox 2 Saturday morning. Watch us on your TV at 8:45am. Later that day, The Motor City rah Rah's will be dancing at the Stars & Stripes Festival in Mt. Clemens with the Helldrivers at 4:30pm. After, you can catch us hooping, jumping & dancing at The Huntington Woods Annual City-wide BBQ at 7:15pm.........Since you know that Punk Fitness gives you great stamina......we will be in Rochester at Callahans late evening. Come on out and see us! Cityfest starts this wednesday and runs through Sunday. Lots of great bands local & national. Can't wait to see Todd Rudgren, De La Soul, & Buddy Guy to name a few. I am looking for volunteers each day to help with some Punk Fitness demos and Punk Fitness kids activities. I have three demos a day. Let me know if you can help out. Hey you FABULOUS Detroiters!
Hope this e-mail finds you happy & well! Just an update so you know WHEN TO GET OFF YOUR A** & COME TO CLASS!!!!
Getting lots of emails from people I love..... that have been slacking off and not working out. Well, It will be great to have you back!!! Ask any Punk Fitness regular & they will confirm that soon you'll be living life more energized & stress free. You still all have time to make some song/artists requests for this weeks set-list. Thank you to many of you for sending me your requests! Everyone is getting quite good at it & it really helps me to devise a set-list that is not only terrific but w/ much variety. HOT ON THE REQUEST LIST IS NEW BECK & NEW B-52'S.....both on this weeks set-list! All you have to do is e-mail me if you haven't done this before. Then I will do my best to include it in the class set-list! It's easy and believe me, MY FAMILY LOVES MUSIC so....our music I-Tunes & Vinyl collection is enormous! Plus, if I don't have it...I'll search the bands myspace to purchase or buy it for $ .99 on I-Tunes because to me....YOU'RE WORTH IT!

(8 weeks.... next session starts 1st week of March - we are there every Thursday now but into the 4th wk of the current session
(drop-ins at a higher rate for session classes are available but must be pre-arranged....email me for more info)
There are lots of good things happening & in the works. I am currently seeking out volunteers for our annual appearance at the Pre-Party Metro Times Blow Out on Wednesday March 5th. This is really, really FUN! and comes w/ perks. Please e-mail me if you want to help out. You know I'll repay you somehow, someway!!!!! Packni Day is Tuesday Feb. 5th. I'll probably not run a class since I will start my day in Hamtown at around 10am. My hubby will be playing with The Orbitsuns from 1-3pm that day at The New Dodge....please do come on out and celebrate Fat Tuesday...it is the polish version of St. Patty's Day. I guarantee you'll have a blast. Anyway, I won't run class that night but will be at The Belmont to feed you some packni's and will offer to do a free mini fitness assessment on you. (in private- not in front of everyone, that means measure, % of body fat test & personal goals for the week) I'll have hoops on hand for those wanted to move a little, dance to great music or just hang & socialize at the bar....It is a Holiday....so we must make it fun! THIS SATURDAY is the HAMMIES!!!! @ The Painted Lady. A tribute to Lili's 21, Hamtramck, Music and of course Lili! What a lady! I'm so glad that in my life, I got to meet her! .............Saturday Feb. 9th is the next bout for The Detroit Derby Girls. 7pm sharp at The Masonic Temple!

Hi cool people,
Here is the scoop...I'm seeking more volunteers for this years City Fest! I need you....a quick 5 minute demo each day at 5:45pm, Wed 7/4, Thurs 7/5, Fri 7/6, Sat 7/7 & Sun7/8.
I'm also looking for Detroit Cobra fans & The Go fans. We are going to form a gang called "The Motor City Spirit Squad". We will all wear colorful bandanas and rush to the front of the stage to cheer on the band & throw candy at the crowd. This is Friday @ 9pm & Sat @ 9pm.
For both...meet at the sound booth of the Park Stage 15 minutes prior to performance time. Kids are welcome to partake and keep in mind that you don't have to be a Punk Fitness regular or even done a class....this will be real easy & real fun. Plus, I will pass out any flyers from your business, band or thing to help promote you as well. It is good exposure! I will also work hard to provide you as many festival perks as I can...I'm shooting for VIP passes but cannot guarantee...but so far that looks promising. I will also provide you w/ gift certificates good for two classes for you to use or give to a friend for each performance that you help out with. I need as many people as I can get so....ask your pals to partake as well!
I'm begging you........& you'll know that I'll return the favor....just ask and I'm there for you! PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please email me or call me on my cell at (248)890-5812 so I know who's coming when & where. This year will be as good if not even better than last year. Check the website for bands playing.
p.s. It is also National Hula Hoop Day on Saturday. The fest is going to have a hoop out on Sat. @ 3pm....I'd love to see you there as well.

 Oh Boy! On May 19th, at The Magic Stick, The Beehive will be showcasing its first 3 acts, The Expatriates, Esquire, and Cuckold. The Motor City Rah Rah's will be cheering the bands on while they play their first Beehive hits! And Dj Anytime will be providing the coolest tunes this side of the Milky Way!  ------------------------------ This is a huge event! We will provide a 5 minute Punk Fitness warm-up to start the walk at Hart Plaza then drive to the check points where we stamp cards, pass out water, and cheer on the participants! We did this last year...very fun! This is a kid friendly event. My kids had a blast last year & it was great to get them involved in some community service as a family.
