Israel - 13 deaths - 4 killed by Hamas Rockets

Palestinians - 1,250 deaths - Half civilians.

Half the population of Gaza is under 14 years old.

Over 5,000 horrifically wounded.  800,000 people currently without water.

Depleted Uranium will kill and mangle thousands more.

Israel has no remorse and stands behind their offensive with
not a single apology for attacks on humanitarian efforts or for brutally
killing mothers, their babies, and innocents of Gaza!

The Israeli people give 78% approval ratings for this
offensive against Gaza. [Haaretz.com] Support is so strong that only 1,000
Israelis showed up for a recent cease-fire demonstration.

Anyone that speaks against Israel is deemed
Anti-Semitic.  Wikipedia calls this the
'new antisemitism'.

Shame on the people of Israel for letting history repeat
itself.  Your grandparents were left to
rot in concentration camps and ghettos yet you feel it is right to support a
government that has crammed 1.5 million people into a WW2 style Ghetto without
aid just as your X-oppressors did.  Is it
a surprise that Palestinians vote in Hamas [Israeli Creation] with a small
militia wing, which is indeed their civil-right.  This militia throws stones at you for
starving and oppressing their people and you think this is a threat to your
national security?  You are the most heavily
armed nation in the world with your 400 nukes and endless American artillery.

The only brave Israelis are those that refuse military
service.  My heart goes out to the young
souls that disappear behind bars for standing strong against the wind of adversity.  This is the only light Israel has left and it
is rotting away with the youth she’s imprisoned.

Einstein said, "The pioneers of a warless world are the
[youth] who refuse military service."

Don't forget he was offered the presidency of Israel.    

 

 I pray that the
people of Israel bring their corrupt leaders to justice. 

Palestinian souls are the same as Israeli souls.  They are not a lesser people!

Prop 8, I am disgusted:

To our Homosexual fellows, I am deeply sorry for your loss. We will one day be able to sympathize and relate when our sacred liberties held close to our hearts are crushed and we realize we are mere slaves of the State. For now my thoughts are with you and the one you truly love but are not able to join in ordained union with. I am sorry the Will of the People could not see beyond the cage of their small realities.



This is a dark day.



To those that Voted Yes on 8, Shame on you.


If this is your Will, then it is this Will that will one day take your freedoms away.
Look in the mirror and know that your liberties are extremely conditional; that one day the Government, by Will of the People, will exercise the dictatorial power We have given it, and snatch away anything you identify with as Freedom. Freedom that hitherto could not be touched by Big Brother.



We stand up and cheer for Obama and call him, 'THE BLACK JESUS' and identify his speeches with the great Martin Luther King, Jr. We call his elected Presidency the day America became TRULY FREE. This could be no farther from the truth when on the same day the Will of the People vote to suspend Civil Liberties for a group of PEOPLE that have been given citizenship, but are not given the same rights.



You conservatives that voted Yes on 8 are HYPOCRITES because you've expanded Government. You could now be rightfully deemed a Neocon.



You liberals that voted Yes on 8 are HYPOCRITES alike. You are supposed to be for change and the progression of Society which includes greater liberty in changing times.



This is not about Gay or Straight. This is about our liberties.

Nothing should be passed into Law which takes away Liberty as another Law alike, could take away your own!

The USA needs to get out of Iraq and focus government spending on public works that will improve the quality of life of the people: education, health care, mass transit, green energy.

The financial wonks came up with the term "illiquid assets" to describe mostly worthless paper that nobody wants to admit (or can not afford to admit) is worthless. The bailout program will replace this worthless paper with money "borrowed" from the tax payer. That money is made up by the private federal reserve out of thin air in the first place and loaned to the government (tax payers). For people that high up in the power structure, they might as well be playing with monopoly money. Of course it is a monopoly.

The government is not about getting our permission but about manufacturing our consent, as Chomsky puts it.

In the case of the bailout, they didn't even get the consent of the people. They just went off and did what they were told to do by the financial bosses with the "or else" threat of their own portfolios becoming worthless if they didn't.

Paulson and his minions will arbitrarily decide what each piece of worthless paper is worth and give money to domestic and foreign banks to replace it. This flood of funny money further devalues our currency. It may unlock the credit market a little bit, but it causes inflation.

The hocus pocus that's supposed to bail out the stock market is not going to change the government's already appalling, illegal misappropriation of funds.

The government should worry about creating value and quality of life for its people.

When the banksters financial models figured out that if everybody continues to cash in their hedge funds and money markets they'd run out of money to pay because the bankers refuse to lend to them, they screamed for a bailout. The problem is that once they get the bailout that will only make people want to cash out these investments more. They'll all say, "I'd better get my money out while I still can." So this will accelerate the crash. The banksters will probably need to print quite a bit more than $700billion before it's all over. Say hello to $10/gallon gas and $10 big macs America. The dollar is toast.

If this bailout wasn't a result of an act of congress, then it's not constitutional and it's not an act of the government. It's an act of the private banking monopoly. What the talking heads are failing to stress is that this is not a "government bailout." It's unauthorized theft of public money to rescue private financial institutions. The powerful oligarchs have decided. Because everybody agrees that something must be done, many people are ignoring the reality of who is really in control of the government. The word democracy does not apply here.

Ron Paul is right. It's basically signing all our bank accounts over to the gambling addicts who caused the problem in the first place. The bankers are huddled like alcoholics in a big virtual AA meeting trying to figure things out, but if we keep handing them suitcases full of financial crack by letting them print more money, what will make them change their ways?

I don't seem to have much time to run STW profile these days, so I've set things to be more automatic -- less managed.
