So the rest of the tour this summer was great. After three years of trying to make it out east to Toronto we finally made it with no trouble. We landed V.I.P at the Toronto Warped Tour and had the time of our life. Warped Tour was amazing, tons of great bands. Thanks to Domenica and all the Venues for making the tour a blast. We are back home and working on some new songs, keep posted for DTV Cribz ( Episode 8, check YouTube for previous vids). We also hope to have a video for A Perfect Day before the end of the year. We are taking a short trip out west in October with our bros in Xplicit and have plans to head south to the States for early 2010. We were honored to be one of the four winners for Power 97 Rockin the 204. This was suppose to land us a spot on the Rock on the Range Festival in Canada but because of time constraints none of the bands ended up playing. We still got V.I.P passes and got to hang with some great people. Also thanks to all our fans who voted for us in The Best of Winnipeg edition of The Uptown Magazine, "A Taste of What's to Come" was voted top three in new albums and also new artist. We are opening for Thornely and playing The Grand Beach Rock Show for our last two shows of August. Keep posted for show dates and pictures from the summer (Check Pics and Vids). We are still all living together in the same house and are looking forward to pushing some ideas we have brewing. All the boys are feeling good, determined and ready for a challenge. Night of the living Dread IV "Release the Beast" will be our fifth anual Halloween show at The Zoo October.31st in Winnipeg, always a gong show. Thanks every body for all the support, we will try and keep you updated a little more frequent. We are also happy to announce that "A Taste of What's to Come" is now distributed through EMI in Canada. All the best everyone, we'll talk soon!

What can I say, being on the road is great. Mike Wagner who who has taken over the low end is feeling right at home and we are all geting along so great and having a lot of fun. He is five shows in and we have never had a chunckier bass sound, good job Mike. This is by far the best tour we have ever been on. Everyshow has been solid, lots of people, good bands, good sound and we are playing great. Thanks to all the promoters, venues and bands for lining up some great shows. We played and stayed in a haunted hotel in Drumheller called The New Castle, that was a fun night. We played in Canmore last night to a room full of tourist and people from all around the world. There is something special about Canmore, can't wait to go back. We are in Edmonton right now waiting to play at the Jet Night Club tomorrow night and The Zoo in Hinton Alberta on Saturday. Want to throw a shout out to our boys in "Today I Caught the Plaque" who we shared the stage with for our first few shows. We had a great time with all of you and can't wait to meet up with you again, you guys were great. We have met alot of amazing people already and are having a blast. We'll keep kicking ass on the road, cheers!!
Steve and the boys!!!
p.s. If our gps tells us to make a legal u turn one more time we are going to smash it , lol !!

Let's get everyone up to speed! In the previous blog you can read The Uptown article on us and that will bring you up to the end of the summer. In September Randy moved out of the Dreadnaut house with his girlfriend and moved to his moms to help out. Randy then grew distant from the band and was rarely around. He showed up to play the Oct.31st Halloween Show and Dec.31st New Year's show. After the New Year's show it became apparent that Randy was no longer interested in playing in the band. He wanted to stay in the city and stay close to his family. Randy left the band January.1st and jumped right in to school and has been working very hard at becoming a heavy duty mechanic. He and his family are doing very well and we wish them nothing but the best, he is still a great friend of the band.
We started to spread the word amoungst friends that we were looking for a bass player. We had a few people try out and a couple close friends offer to help out for a while. We were able to play a show in Thompson with Anthony Bradbury on the bass in January which was a huge help. As of right now we have Mike Smoljanovic (the guitarist from the band Coda) filling in on the low end. He offered to help us out and was very enthusiastic. He came to a couple jams and was able to learn the songs instantly. We are excited to share the stage with him over the next couple months, thanks Mike.
Dreadnaut has started writing for the next album and has been working on getting some up to date media pulled out of the vault. There is a lot of material to go through and the old computer is a little slow these days, maybe time for a new one. O and get this, our distributing company has declared bankruptcy so the money they owed us on all our album sales since July are not going to be seen, unbelievable, so that that's the cherry on the cake, whatever we'll survive.
Can't wait to see Mindless Self Indulgence in three weeks, and also BLS and Dope!!!! Lamb of God, and As I Lay Dying in April!!!! We also have a bunch of shows coming up and a couple tours in the works so keep posted for dates. Keep posted as there will be some more blogs to come.

P.s. Dime Bag Darrell "He Came to Rock". Great fucking book and dvd, a must have for any Pantera lover. Cheers to Dime!!!! Currently listening to new Mudvayne, Dope, Papa Roach, Mindless Self Indulgence, 3oh!3, NIN, Five Finger Death Punch and New Lamb of God!!

Hello Friends! So what is dreadnaut up to you ask. Well things are a little slow when it comes to playing shows right now as we are still waiting on Randy's surgery and seeing how that is going to go. But we are still keeping busy. We have some good news, dreadnaut is now an Official Jagermeister band, Yippie!! We want to thank David Videka and Joe Kresta for taking an interest in us and helping us up another step on this long ladder. We are currenly working on another DTV episode and will have some new pictures up on our myspace shortly. We just finished shooting a t.v. episode for "All Access Pass" that will be airing in Januray. We would like to thank everyone who was a part of the shoot it was a great experience, thank you.
As for the the new album, sales are going steady but we still need your help in spreading the word. If you have facbook you can join ours, just look up "dreadnaut dreadnaut". We have events on there that you can join to help spread the word about the new album. We will be playing a couple shows a month through out the winter and are definitely going to be doing some heavy touring as soon as spring hits. Also, we will be doing a dreadnaut remix contest in the near future where you will be able to take dreadnaut tracks and have your own fun with them, so stay tuned for details on that. If anyone has any questions or suggestions feel free to drop us a message.
Much Love,
Dreadnaut

Hey Friends!!! Well, Let's get you up to date! The new Album "A Taste of What's to Come" is being sent to L.A for Mastering Next Friday, May.23rd. Tom Baker will be Mastering the album, Awesome!!!! As for a release date, we are planning to release it before we go on tour but think it is in our best interest to try and get it on a label before we release it. So as soon as we know, you will know. As for our new media (music video) it is still in the works. We did write a script for "Epica" but ended up scrapping it. We are now in the process of writing a script for "Rise" and are hoping to get the video done before we go on tour. As for the tour, all our dates are posted on our myspace page with more to come. We are doing a nice chunk of Canada and heading down through the states to Hollywood. If you have friends or family in any of the cities that we are going through and think that they would be in to the music spread the word and help get them out to our show. Also if you know anyone that might put us up for a night in any of the cities that we go through please let us know, it will help us save money and save us from a hot sleep in the muggy van, lol. We have a few more shows before we head out so make sure you come and support to help us be best prepared for the tour. On a more personal note. We are all still living together in the same house that we have been living in for the last five years. We are all getting along great and are feeling strong and confident. It has been a pretty stressful six months, trying to find time with our producer's busy schedule to finish the album, paying our bills, booking all of the tour our selfs, going through some rough times. However, all and all, our faith is high and things are starting to fall into place and come together nicely. If you have any suggestions or anything you would like to see from dreadnaut, please don't hesitate to drop us a message. We are always up for listening to what our friends and fans have to say. We will talk to you soon!
Much Love, dreadnaut
