Image-Line has finally relesead the definitive version of Deckadance, the professional software for digital jockey. Deckadance is without any doubt, the antagonist of Virtual Dj and Traktor, and I think that it is better than these. First of all it is totally compatible with BCD 2000 and BCD 3000, but not only this, it supports many other consolles like the Hercules, the Kontrol Dj, the Xp-10, the Torq M-Audio, Xone 3D and Vestax VCI 100. Moreover it have a fantastic section effects and loop, with 3 possibilities of reloop for every track, a sampler with 8 channels, 8 VST plugin channels that works together, the support for the VTC, and finally it have 7 inner effects with practically infinite variations thanks to the vectorial controls (x and y). Image-Line, the company behind Deckadance, has more than 10 years of experience in writing and managing audio software such as FL Studio, so we have bought it and tried in preview.
You can see a short video here.
We reserve to test it more strong, but now after 2 hours using that, I'm not found any sign of instability and sound decay.

Xylio has finally released 1.0.4 version of its software at the top of catalogue. In this version, similar to the previous ones, there is more stability and some modifications that improve the usability. Best modification is the marker of the played songs, that now are colored in black (in default skin), so now is possible to identify the songs already used.

Following details from Xylio forum:

- automatic marking of loaded songs in current session

- beat-offsets added to the screens

- fixed big crash on sorting/resizing the list

- auto-mix bug fixed

- random mode bug fixed

- soundcards compatibility in Vista fixed

- many stability improvements

By the end of this week the BCD2000 adaptation skin will be available.

As usual use the links you received to download the latest version.

Xylio finally released B-DJ 1.2, a maintenance version. * audio stability improved * fixed mp3 files problems (no more bad sound/silence at the beginning) * native VST plugins support (please test your plugins before going live as some might crash the application) * many small bug fixes ATTENTION: your old playlists will be deleted automatically and you will have to re-make them. You can also backup them and overwrite them onto the new empty ones (all files in the 'lists' folder). Download from here. If this version still doesn't fix some of your stability problems Xylio plan to release an experimental (alternate) version soon for you to test and give them feedback on.

(From Cycocraut blog) I released a new BCD2000/Traktor3 mapping (2007-02-05) with a totally reprogrammed cue behavior inspired by the Pioneer CDJ-1000 MK3. Watch this demo video to figure out what I mean (pressing cue while deck is paused). (Flashing LEDs are supported with the next MIDI Rules prototype release.)On the other hand, if you press cue while deck is playing, the "needle" jumps back to cue point and keeps playing (cue/play). If you now press the play button while still holding down the cue button, it jumps back again to the cue point and pause the deck (cue/pause). Formelly, this is the new cue related mapping: []
Currently, I only integrate this feature in the Traktor3 mapping. I will see, if it's also possible for Traktor2.

Image-Line, famous software house for FL Studio, one of the best software to the production music based on loops and virtual instruments, is coming with a dj software that is placed between Virtual Dj and Traktor, and that it seems to be a powerful and mature product being still in not definitive version. The support to BCD 2000 is native and working very well. All the main controls are perfectly commanded by the buttons, knobs and sliders of the BCD, and there is a particular configurations for the effects that working very good and that it's very funny. The buttons A, B, C, and D are to the relooper of the deck A and B (2 for each player) and the configuration panel of relooper, like to VDJ, is wonderful. The Analog A and B works to choice the main effects/filters and the knobs up are used to change the 2 main parameters (x and y) of the effects. If you want more there are two extra panels to control the live sampler and the VST effects.I'm sure all workings perfect!A little bug is the use of the jog in order to make scratch, that at the moment it works only holding pressed the button scratch in the BCD, and that at the moment dont't do the backspin(?).The jog works perfectly with the player stopped and it is very similar to vinyl style, with a powerful latency. Moreover the Keylock/Master Tempo function generates an annoying echo effect to the start of the track (using the jog) and that shows all its limits of quality when you use it strong. We have not tried the sync function. Our final judgment is much positive one.

The new tests with the BCD and Live 6, have left us an optimal impression. Probably because now we have dedicates more time to the midi mapping. It is really possible to command all the controls of Live through the BCD, like play and stop , such as the volume levels, the Eq section , cue and loops. The only function that we are not commanded is the pitch slider, but I believe that this is superfluous using Live. I have taken a short video in order to see as Live 6 with the BCD 2000 works, you can see it from here. I wait your feedbacks, expecially from people who knows Live well! I'm sorry but in the Demo version is not possible to save the midi mapping , otherwise I've made available to download it.

Near to be relesead the new Behringer Dj Controller, his name is BCD 3000 and it will be the brother of our BCD 2000. The official page is here.
The B-CONTROL DEEJAY BCD3000 DJ mixer lets you play, mix and scratch any MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG, WAV and AIFF file with a real vinyl feel. Packed with mind-blowing features such as mixer, dual-player, effects, mic/phono preamps and a full-fledged monitor section, this 4-channel USB audio interface perfectly complements the included Native Instruments Traktor 3 LE DJ software or most other DJ software, running on Windows XP and Mac OS X operating systems. You've waited long enough. Go to your local dealer, and make sure this hot babe is yours. High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long life.

The most important news are: more file format support, MAC OS X compatibility and Traktor LE bundle software.
The not again implemented features are: the second line in port, digital in and out and second master output. It's not clear if the USB interface is 2.0 now or not.

Very good notice to Mac users.Christoph have been released install driver to Mac.So now you should be able to use the BCD2000 on your PowerBook, iBook, iMac and PowerMac, as well as your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or Mac Pro.
You can visit his blog here. Currently only MIDI in and output works. Audio does not. That means you can control Traktor the way you would on a Windows computer, but you won't hear anything through the BCD2000's audio ports or record anything trough them. You can still, of course, use other audio outputs, built-in or external, that do work with MacOS X. Right now the MIDI input and output are should be identical to the Windows driver in B-DJ mode. Which means a reasonable amount of pain is implied when trying to configure Traktor for the BCD2000. Basically, the same hack that works for Windows (using MIDI-Rules and a loopback device, in our case Apple's built-in IAC) is also required for Mac. Cristoph hope to incorporate similar functionality inside the driver in the future, eliminating the need for the hack.
