Bush Opposes Any Attempt to Put His Staff Under Oath
During a specially called press conference to discuss the president's position on the controversial firings of eight US attorneys, some genius actually said:
"I regret these resignations turned into such a public spectacle." -- President Bush (press conference, March 20th, 2007)

Join Mandate Monday(don't wait, it's tomorrow)
Take tomorrow off to focus on saving American democracy.
Whether you're a Liberal or a Conservative or an Independent like myself, CALL IN SICK (on behalf of America).
Call in sick, skip class, whatever.
Missing a day or two of work or school won't make anywhere as much difference to your future life as allowing the out-of-control Republican monopoly on power to continue even one more day.
So spend the whole day contacting others about Tuesday's midterm elections.
More details coming soon after I tweak my early morning call to action (which was full of silly typos and whatnot because I was falling asleep while writing it).
Sincerely,
The PeacePeeps.com "Management"

If over 3500 people were paying attention to you, what would you say?
Send us a couple paragraphs, and/or pictures, or videos, or links to your longer blog articles and have at it!
Make an announcement.
Share some interesting news.
Quote some wisdom or share a paradox.
Tell a joke.
Whatever.
You have a day or so to come up with something.
Be creative. Be interesting. Be boring.
Just don't miss out on the opportunity, k?
K.
RE: Got a message for over 3500 Peace Peeps?
NOTE: We took the liberty of slightly tweaking the quoted bulletin below.
Thanks to Denise, and everyone else who did, for reposting our other PeacePeeps.com Newsflash bulletins.

Got a good message for over 3500 Peace Peeps?

Got a good message for over 3500 Peace Peeps?
On Wednesday, November 1st, we will be posting a special myspace bulletin which will be made up of the best messages sent in to us by our fellow Peace Peeps. Whether it be a pointer to a special blog article you've written, or a new song you've released, a cool graphic or photograph, or some other Peace, Love, and Understanding project that you've either created or have heard about, we'll include it in our special PeacePeeps.com Newsflash bulletin. Let us know. And we'll pass it on to the rest of our 3500+ Peace Peeps. Not a Peace Peep yet? Take a moment to add us as a friend:

Peace, Love, & Understanding!
Sincerely,
The PeacePeeps.com "Management"
P.S. Please repost this bulletin to your friends.
If you don't know how to repost a bulletin, simply select all of the text in the textbox below (one quick way is to triple-click inside the textbox). Then copy and paste all of the text into a new bulletin.
The top line can be used as the subject line.
NOTE: To reposting veterans, it's much better to repost in the usual way because then the textbox option will be reposted as well -- plus the new banter above (and the video below).

How to Send Us Your Photo
1. Take the Picture
First print-out our paper-sized ImpeachBushco.com poster.
Then take a picture of yourself holding it up (preferably while flashing a peace sign and a nice smile, but that's not mandatory).

2. Upload to the Internet
You can easily upload your saved-to-computer-file digital photo (or your scanned-in photo) into your myspace profile picture area and then copy that picture link into our myspace comment window.
Just right-click on any internet picture and click on "properties" from the menu that pops up. You'll see the http URL picture address listed in the properties pop-up window.
MAC users do whatever you do to check the properties of a picture.
Don't know how to post pictures in comments?
Here's a working sample HTML code for a myspace picture (the one used above) which is formatted for pasting the above picture into myspace comments, blogs, profile sections, bulletins, etc.
You can edit the text in the window below. Neato, huh?
Simply replace your picture address for the one that's in the text box above. The code above uses this picture address:
Delete that address in the provided textbox above and replace it with your own picture address.
To make it a bit clearer, here's another example using a dummy picture address. Replace the http://YourPictureAddress.jpg below with your own picture address (whether it be your myspace profile picture address or PhotoBucket.com's or TinyPic.com's or any other).
IMPORTANT: Be sure to put your picture address inbetween the quotes of the src="" tag in the code below -- don't delete the quotes.
After replacing your picture address with the dummy address, simply copy and paste all of that new code into our myspace comment window.
Too complicated?
Just go there and it prompts you to browse your hard drive for the location of the picture and it automatically formats the posting codes for you.
3. Sending Your Picture
After you upload the picture (for free, and without having to create a picture hosting account) TinyPic.com automatically generates the posting text code for copying and pasting your uploaded picture into any myspace comment, or profile page area, or bulletin posting, or blog entry.
Be sure that your picture is a reasonable size before uploading it to TinyPic.com
NOTE: myspace's profile picture area will automatically resize most pictures fairly well because, if your picture is too big, it won't accept it.
Most people like to keep their pictures no wider than 425 pixels in width (about the same width size of a typical default YouTube.com video). This makes for easier and faster viewing on myspace.
Detailed resizing instructions will be provided here later if you need them. You can do it all in Windows Paintbrush using the Attributes command after opening your original picture in paintbrush. Before changing anything, be sure to save the opened picture as a different name so as not to erase over your original picture.
If you'd rather not bother with all of that, we can resize your picture for you after you send it to us.
Send your picture to us by pasting the picture-posting code in here -- it's our PeacePeeps.com myspace comment-entering window.
4. Are You a PeacePeeps.com Pal?
If you're not already a friend of PeacePeeps.com myspace, you can add us now by clicking here and then you'll be able to post your picture comment after we've approved your friend request (no longer than 24 hours).
Or, even if you're not already our pal, you can send your picture right now to our myspace message box.
Don't have a free myspace account yet?
NOTE: We don't accept email attachments, so please paste your picture directly into the body of your email and/or provide us the link where we can view it on the web (either on your blog, your myspace page, or one of the picture hosting services like www.imageshack.com or www.photobucket.com or the previously mentioned www.tinypic.com).
There are many other picture hosting services, most of which offer free picture hosting. We'll list more later.
5. Need More Help?
If you have any other questions, just message us or email us (or leave a comment here on this blog) and we'll be glad to help.
This How-To blog entry will be frequently updated with better and better instructions about all things myspace and PeacePeeps.com.

You're only two clicks away from changing the world!
Well, no, actually it's three clicks.
No wait, maybe it's four clicks -- if you include opening up this silly blog.
Nevermind, I have absolutely no idea how many clicks away you are from changing the world.
Just vote for PeacePeeps.com as the Best Political Cause site on Myspace and stop bugging me about how many clicks it takes.
Click to Vote:
Anyway, you're not gonna change the world by clicking on some internet thingy.
Well, maybe you will, who knows.
It's all a matter of direction, I suppose.
You can choose Love or Hate.
Peace or War.
Pepsi or Coke.
I like Pepsi, myself. *
And Love.
But I don't like War. (It doesn't make me smile).
* Not to imply that Coke is evil and Pepsi isn't.
I've simply lost the thread of the point I was making.
I've been up all night and I'm thirsty.
Actually, I like Classic Coke, too.
But Bush?
Nope.
He's bad for America.
And the world.
He always smiles when he talks about how bad things are.
Have you noticed that?
Big smiles.
I don't like that.
"They hate us because we're free!"
Massive grin. His eyes brighten up while he's saying it.
George Bush thrives on bad stuff.
That's not good.
Condi does it, too. So does Rummy.
They all have these uncontrollably giddy smiles whenever they're describing just how bad they claim something is.
It's very unsettling.
It's like they have this pathological need to prove themselves right about how terrible things are (or could be). And it makes them all very happy when they can point out some horrible thing or another.
Different strokes for, well, different folks.
It's all a matter of direction, I suppose.
Don't forget to vote, k?

Candid Camera and the Republicans
Here's a fun idea.
If you carry a stack of our ImpeachBushco.com print-outs with you at all times, wherever you go, you're in for a real treat.
(Click on the icon below, then use your FILE, PRINT menu)

Set the number of copies to, say, at least ten.
So... while you're out and about, ask strangers, etc., to hold up the paper for you while you take their photo (as they flash you the peace sign).
Inform them that it's an art project about faith (which it is) and that that's why they can't look at what's on the paper.
Then snap the photo and be on your way.
Naturally, before you've gone off looking for another model, you've already folded up the poster and given it to them, asking them to promise to wait until they get home to look at it.
After all, reliability goes both ways.
Say something like:
"It's an art project about faith. Do you trust me?"
Assure them that they can check it all out on the internet when they get home.
Hopefully, they're Republicans who believe in freedom (of speech, for instance).
Heh.
And doubly hopefully, they end up learning a HUGE lesson about misplacing their faith and trust. Not their misplaced trust and faith in you, mind you.
Today's Daily Call for Peace & Sanity
