so I know we aren't really that good at the whole blogging thing, but can you blame us? We have been kept so busy lately!
"With what?" you ask....
WELL, there has been so much good television to be watched, and so much napping that needed to be caught up on.
speaking of- have you seen that new show Num3ers! The doctor from Northern Exposure is a police man, and his brother on the show is a math super genius! WHA! It is like all of my dreams have come true.
In other news, we played a show at the bad Ju Ju the other night. We wore scary clown makeup. It was greasy, and there was some greasy dance moves. thats all.

so, uh, i haven't posted in a while.  sorry about that.  and while i could list off excuses until my fingers are worn down to tiny little fingerlettes, i'm not gonna.  if you're reading this, you want to know what's been up with us.  therefore...

the last three months have been crazy.  we played our first show outside of someone's living room.  we also played at comeback and pho bang which was pretty much a dream come true for me.  we also played the vera and let me tell ya, the kids know how to have fun.  they also gave us yummy vegan food and pastries.  the vera not the kids.  it was a great night.

so, we've got a few upcoming shows including one on an island and one at a ymca.  they're both all ages i believe so you can bring your baby brother and your grandma.  they're both welcome!  we're also playing a not-a-drum-set-in-sight show at chop suey with new grey area (our new grey friends) and mutha fuckin SCREAM CLUB!!!  those girls rock me like a hurricane.  and i'm not saying that in bad taste.  it's just that sometimes (and it's VERY seldom) the scorpions say it best. also if you come to this show, katie and i are planning on bringing cookies.  mmmm.... cookies.

in other news, we found a sucker er.... i mean producer who wants to help us record a full length album.  whoa.  actually he asked us and he seems pretty excited about it.  this man, who is obviously a derranged lunatic for wanting to work with us, is none other than corey paganucci of kuma fame.  we hope to have twelve songs with packaging and everything done by the end of the year.  we'll see.  keep watching this blog for constant updates.  cuz we all know how good i am about updating.

well that's all for now.  i suggest taking a walk outside.  it's beautiful and all the trees are changing colors to help you cope with the grey that will soon descend upon us all.  peace.

Current mood:  excited
so, i just got home frome seeing RIZE, the new David LaChapelle movie about krumping, to discover that the line up for the august 1st show is so killer that i almost jumped up and started krumping myself. not krumping myself as in krumping to my person but doing my own krumping around and about the space which i inhabit. now, i can't krump (nor should i even try) but i just got so excited that i felt like dancing a bit. New Grey Area, Moniker, and Catlow are all playing! i know that the show is on a monday. the monday after the block party no less. the monday after the block party on the first of the month no less but you should all come out. it's going to be an awesome night of electroclash and indierock (indieclash maybe?) and dancing is sure to be had*. also, that weekend katie and i are going to be doing some promoting flashmob-style outside the block party. anybody interested in stepping outside the barriers for about fifteen minutes to dance to BOBCATS songs thus promoting the show should message me. we'll probably be doing it both days but times are still uncertain. details to come. also, anyone who wants to help poster is welcome. we don't have posters as yet but that's a minor detail. i'll try and keep this current in the coming weeks so check back often. allright lates. Bobby *krump not guaranteed

So, we finally got around to getting Dance Sneak Attack up on the site. it's good. Wesin did an awesome job of making us sound bigger than we actually are. we're playing a show on saturday night in montlake to say goodbye to matt. good riddance is mor like it. heh heh. nah, i'm just kidding. he's going to be missed. but you know what they say, when Boston calls... or is that nature? if you check the streaming archive of KEXP's website for 1:04 AM on June 1, 2005 you will hear the melodious voice of Rachel Ratner introducing Viva La Pance. That's right kids. BOBCATS made it on the air. and And AND.... she followed it up with the faint. how cool is that? what a compliment. thanks rachel. you're the best! looking forward to some real venue type shows in the futre. stay tuned for dates. till then, lates. bobby

the pillow kidnappers came through and now with many huge, extendted, effluvious (effluvious?) thanks to westin glass we finally have a real live demo! the tracklisting is as follows: 1. Viva La Pance 2. Dance Sneak Attack 3. The Metric System 4. Down With Pleats! now if only we could get around to sending it out. if you want a copy, let us know and we'll totally hook you up, yo. also if you happen to know/run into/stalk a local radio personality/rock star/record producer feel free to drop our name and a copy of the demo into their pants. if you get the chance that is. we recorded Hey Hey with jeffrey yesterday. i love that man. it's probably our best yet. but that, as with so many quality questions in life, is all subject to debate. check it out. it's up and running. i'm going to be ballsy and say june 4 for our show. be alert. it might change. that's all for now. bobby

bobby here. this is our first blog entry. i thought i'd give it a shot. so things are maybe going to pick up a bit this month. we'll be playing the art house again some saturday in late may or early june to celebrate the ryans' birthdays. that should be cool. also i just got word that some of our kidnapper friends just got hold of a bootleg copy of some mixdowns of Dance Sneak Attack and Down With Pleats which means, if i can convince them to give us a copy, there should be new songs on the website presently. also, does anyone know the kids in Street Beat or Fankick? we'd like to talk to them about possibly joining our flash mob and being our dance robot. how about you? would YOU be interested in joining a BOBCATS flash mob sometime this summer? let us know. probably in july but maybe sooner? we'll see. my left ankle has been hurting lately. so has katie's. we also have matching surface scars. oh and we only have a few kidnapper friends. hardly anything to consider.
