Los Angeles born and raised, Peter Chavez creates music that reflects his own life and experiences. Love, loss and all the depressive, angry stuff that comes along with it, is what fuels this man's fire. With constant intensity and emotion flowing from the guitar, the music easily flows from bluesy to angry etching out Peter's gritty sound. His lyrics are poems set to the tone of two guitars playing simultaneous melodies that feed off of each other over a solid rhythm section. Emotional and moody, the lyrics hit hard and personal as it pertains to his troubles and triumphs.
Peter started playing music in high school through his early years in college in a band, heavily influenced by Soundgarden, Guns n' Roses, and Nirvana. Following this period, during a self-imposed exile from music that lasted several years, Peter completed graduate school and decided to escape from the mundane routine which had become his life and traveled on his own for several months to Brazil and Europe. During this period Peter had the time to reflect and rediscover his passion for writing music. He wrote what would eventually become his debut CD "Autumn's Revenge." For this self taught guitarist, a time which was filled with disappointment and rejection had now become a blessing and the spark he needed to make music a part of his life again. Since releasing "Autumn's Revenge," Peter has been playing local shows, acquiring name recognition while working on his follow up CD to "Autumn's Revenge."
From the volatile intro song "Until The Last Sun Dies" to the somber "I Know You Live", all the way through the haunting yet subdued "Sweet Little Whirlwind;" "Autumn's Revenge" includes hard driving, emotional songs combined with intimate acoustic tracks such as "This Difference" which exhibits Peter's introspective lyrics that are the heart and soul of "Autumn's Revenge."
Continuing to write and perform whenever he can, Peter just wants to create music that is meaningful. There are no stars in his eyes. He doesn't plan on being the next big anything, and that kind of honesty is refreshing and definitely shows in his demeanor and style.
