Your friendship is as natural as your gender.
Your smile like a blank stare..
Your concern resembles dishonesty,
and Your word is as good as gold.......fools gold....
I'm only left to feel regret.
Something that I NEVER feel....
Something that now rings true..
Thanks to you.

This article was written by Patrick, after attending the Miss Gay 90s pageant last month,,it's pretty funny....I thought i'd share

In my 26 years of life, I have never been to a gay bar or a drag show, so attending a drag show at a gay bar would prove to be a double whammy of unknown territory. This is probably why I had some ill-informed, pre-conceived stereotypes of what I was expecting to see before I rolled into the Gay 90's this past Thursday for the 31st annual Miss Gay 90's drag pageant. While I planned to spend the evening watching a bunch of dudes dressed in sequins and spandex overwork their adam's apples trying to hit Celine Dion's high notes, I was instead treated to an event full of dudes dressed in sequins and spandex who threw down the most entertaining and over-the-top show I've ever witnessed live (Oh, and they performed some Celine Dion songs. It's not a stereotype if it's true. I'm just saying).

Backstage before the show, ladies of all shapes and sizes were engaged in their pre-game ritual, adjusting their outfits and putting the finishing touches on their makeup. And yes, I said ladies. Even though a few of them probably could have kicked my ass, they were definitely ladies in my eyes. Plus, I've gotten lap dances from strippers who were (allegedly) real ladies that were way less hot than some of the evening's performers. Don't believe me? Check out Skyway Lounge this weekend and then talk to me.

Finally, it was show time.

Things got off to a rough start, as the Q&A portion of the competition nearly drove me to drink (more). Most contestants were either too nervous to form a complete sentence or they went off on a 15 minute tangent about why their mom is their hero.

Fortunately, the reigning Miss Gay 90's Monica West and the rest of the talented featured cast brought the show back to life, dancing and lip-syncing to crowd-pleasing favorites, erasing the lameness that took place moments earlier.

On a related note, I think I might be in love with a drag queen named Roxy Marquis. Sure, I'm a heterosexual male with an unusually tolerant girlfriend, but watching Roxy was like watching a unicorn fly through outer space. Pure magic.

Just when I thought that the show had peaked, host Nina DiAngelo delivered a Wonder Woman-inspired performance of Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero" that brought tears to my eyes. Just kidding!

(Author's note: Not kidding.)

During the talent portion of the competition, eventual winner Shamika Dupri wowed the crowd with her Thriller-esque dance moves. But it was Shiavaughn who stole the show, vomiting on stage halfway through her routine.

Take that in for a second. A drag queen puking on stage while dancing. Yeah; it was as awesome as it sounds.

After the show, I wandered down the friendly sidewalk of Hennepin Avenue, humming Mariah Carey's "Hero." My mind raced as I thought about Wonder Woman, vomit and my fantasy drag queen, Roxy.

Yes, the Miss Gay 90's pageant officially rocked my face off.

A Brand New Blog!

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and having a little fun! As for me I am working a lot but having some fun along the way. I am currently sitting on a flight from Minneapolis to LA. So I thought I would write to you all before I take my nap!

Why was I in Minneapolis? I did an event for Campheartland/ Oneheartland yesterday. I performed with ANT and Abigail Zsiga who were so much fun! ANT kept us laughing the entire weekend and I think Abigail is the sweetest person I've ever met! Unfortunately, it rained and not many people showed up but those who were there had a great time! I must say it was fun for me to see everyone enjoying the show in spite of the weather. I had a blast! Not to mention I love the charity.

After the event we went to the Gay 90's club and saw the drag show. One of the Drag Queens, Nina, was the MC for our event. She was great! (She dropped a four syllable curse word on one of the campers who wouldn't give her a hug!!!!). LOL! Oh Nina! Nina also performed at the club that night and guess what song she performed to? My version of "Band of Gold"! It was awesome. This is the second time that I have witnessed this. The first time was "8th World Wonder" in Nashville at the club PLAY. It's pretty cool experience from an artist's perspective. THANKS NINA!

I've been thinking a lot about how to connect with all of my fans in MySpace land. When I come to the site I get so overwhelmed by how much support I have out there and I want to show you my appreciation. I've been speaking with Scotty to try to figure this out. So, this is the first of many blog's and other things that I will start to post on the site. I will also begin to post pictures and videos from my shows and fan encounters! Now I am not like all of you pros out there. I am a little MySpace illiterate so bear with me until I learn the ropes! This is going to be so much fun!

I would also love to get some topics from you that we can all talk about and explore. So please tell me what you want to know and/or talk about. I am so open to hear from all of you.

I have a few exciting things coming up that you may be interested in. These are opportunities for you to see and hang out with me. So stay tuned!!!!

I want to thank everyone for there support with the new dance single! Another no.1 ...WOW! I was so excited when I got the news!

THANKS SO MUCH!
Chat with you soon.

Not sure why God took you so soon....but the 2 years you gave me were the most loyal and lovable ever.....I promise to take good care of Tank while you are gone...He is really confused about where you are right now, and I doubt he understands, I promise I will sleep with him every night like you did, so he doesn't feel alone......I know I have a fragile heart these days, and now I'm sure its truly broken,,,,,,You were the best little baby in the world..and I will never forget you......

Love,

Jamie.
