It been two weeks since my pops past, and it hard. I see the world totally different, and things just ain't the same. But on a good note, I'm up, and trying to get back to livin a regular life, I guess. So many people showed me luv and been helpin me out in this hard time, I can't say thank you enough.

Well I've had a lot of thoughts since, and I couldn't possibly blog about them all, but a few things on my mind is one, traffic! Damn, what the hell goes on in the Tacoma-Seattle Metro area! I swear I'm going to take some kind of action, cause our mass transit sucks in the area, and there is no way my 40 mile commute should take 2hrs, it is f#**king ridiculous. I-5 out here is one large parking lot during rush hour, and yea yea yea, they doing some construction, I just hope what they doing is working.

How many people LOVE hip-hop and R&B. I do, so for all ya'll lookin for some good quality music to listen to, take my advice on this, these albums, you can knock without any buttons, just put it in and let them play. Take it from me, I've listen to them all, and that what in the Jay-Dub current rotation right now.

Kanye West - Late Registration

Some people tell me Kayne not tight, he ain't got lyrics, etc etc. Yo, on this one, I guess he was out to prove ya'll wrong, cuz he coming with it. Due out August 30th, so ya'll gotta wait till then.

Keyshia Cole - The Way It Is

Mos Def something for the ladies here. I'ma fan of hers, cuz for one, she from tha town, OAKLAND, and I got much luv for the town. And for two, I seen her live at the Ambassadors' Lounge live and she can really blow. From track 1-12, he sh*t is slappin, on that R&B sh*t.

Okay, so I just wrote this blog, like 10 minutes ago, and accidentally hit the back button and lost everything, so I'm going to try to remember what I wrote and re-write it, but I'm hot about that. Tom, you need to fix that, someone we need to be able to save drafts of a blog without posting it, and I know it possible, anyways on to my blog.

Traffic in the Seattle sucks. I just got a job, and I spend 3-4 hours total a day in traffic, it hella weak.

My job ain't even that major for me to be in traffic like that, but I'm gone do it cuz it is money in my pocket yadadimean!

So since I got a job, I decided to go out to the club in Seattle. My ponta cousin works at the old Bohemian's club, which is now called Trinity. They re-modeled the whole club, and it looks damn good in there too. But I can't say I was really feeling the club, and that when it hit me, I miss Cali. I don't think I'm gone be able to go to a club in Seattle where I can be feelin myself yadadimean. Ain't nothing like the Bay mane! The club was okay other than the fact there was no getting stupid, a lot of people who go the club cuz they think it cool, rather than going to the club to get drunk, go dumb or just flat out have a good time, that why I love the bay. People go to the club for all the right reasons; out here it seems like people in the club trying to be MTV'ed out. But that just my personal interpretation of the club, it could change, but I guess that first impression.

One reason why I'm glad I went to this club tho, is cuz the VIP area is tight. For my birthday, I'm going to get that VIP lounge and throw my birthday party there. And on that night, they gone have to play some bay sh*t, or at least a lil more west coast.

On the music side, I'm feeling that new common right now, it pretty good album. But if ya'll like people like Common, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli and Mos Def, then you need to check out Little Brother. The producer of this group from Durham, North Carolina, is 9th Wonder. And if you don't know about 9th Wonder, I believe he was the Producer of Threat on the Black album. He is really good, and the group, Little Brother is really good too. So if you into that type of hip-hop, real hip-hop I like to call it, you should mos def check them out on their new album The Chittlin Circuit 1.5.

Also my long time ponta,Kash, is a local artist from Tacoma, and he not that bad, he not as nice as some of these other cats, but he has come a long ways and I think he can be, he got some potential and his music not that bad. Check him out too! On some bay sh*t, I'm really feeling that Turf Tezzy, and Mistah F.A.B. Guce album is cool, but that Project Lover with Juve knocks, yadadimean! Can't remember what I wrote next, damn myspace and non-saving blogs sh*t. It hella weak. Ummm. . . . . . . . . . . . . .ohh yea I was talking bout my cell phone. So peep game, about a year ago I bought an unlocked cell phone on Ebay.

I didn't really know what unlocked meant, other than I could use it on any GSM provider, like Cingular or T-Mobile. Basically any phone that uses a SIM card. I was thinking tho that once it connects to a provider, it stuck with that provider. This is not the case, I tried a T-mobile SIM in my phone yesterday, and it worked. So now I'm bout to get off this wack ass plan from Cingular I got, which is a national 450-minute, 5000 night and weekends minutes that start at 7pm that comes out to 60.51 a month. I forgot how much it is a month something like 47 bucks a month, but after takes it 60 bucks, I know, hella weak. Now I'm going to t-mobile to get this 1000 anytime minute, unlimited nights and weekends that start at 9pm for 39.99 a month. Although my nights start at 9pm, 1000 minutes is a whole lot more than 450 and it going to be cheaper. Can't be that. Okay I think that it, that all I wrote before, if not, o well!

So after about a day or so, I finished the rough edges of designing my page. It came out okay I think, but I still got some sections to add. But I got to stop coding on this page and get some rest, cause I'm about to move to Washington tomorrow. Yup, it going to be me, the ipod and good ol' I-5 12 hours north of the bay! Man I really hate this drive, but I gotta make moves. And the move not forever, just a chance to re-group. Ohh if anybody is interested in where I got ideas or how I created this site, I'ma give you some links here, to pages I give props to or good places to start.

Start with these links
Mod Myspace - a myspace page with tons of info and links
MyGen - a myspace profile generator
Thomas Myspace Editor - another myspace profile generator, probably the most popular one.
Myspace Coder Group - one of the best places to get help in hooking you page on myspace up, pretty advacned. but good info.

Tyght Pages - a fourm with the best myspace sites, mos def check out!
X4 - tyght myspace member page
nekochan - another tyght page from a myspace member
Kubo - a page where I got ideas for my table layout, nice page.

My page. I'm pretty good with web design and all. But I figured that myspace had a lot of limitaions like other sites do that don't allow javascripting and such. Then I found a fourm on here where people were listing the best webistes on myspace. I have to say, I was very impressed, and so, with that I plan on re-designing my boring a$$ page. I'll probably leave my blog alone, since I like it to be simple and read-able.

So this whole week has basically slipped away real fast. It already Friday, I wanted to go to Seattle for Memorial Day weekend, but that not about to happen. I put my bucket in the shop today so that it could make the drive up to Washington whenever I get ready to go up there. So I'm probably gone kick it in the bay, which isn't a bad thing, I think Keyshia Cole is preforming at Ambassadors Lounge Friday, so that a good way to start off the weekend. Just got to find a bar-b-q to go to and I'm good! Yadidimean!

So yesterday, I went and finally, finally got my tattoo finished. I got my first tattoo back a while ago, like 99, yea a long time ago, when I was 18, cause my sister thought I was a lil punk and couldn't take it, so we had a bet that if I got one, she would pay for it. I ended up gettin the words SOUL SURVIVOR in a circle around my upper arm, which symbolizes who I am, and let her know I ain't NO PONK!!

So it took me a while to think what I wanted in the middle of the circle, I went back and forth with a lot of crosses. But then I seen a painting of some praying hands, and I knew that what I wanted. But finding a good enough artist to tattoo it was pretty hard. But finally I got hooked up, and I'm feeling it, like I was feelin myself!!! On a serious note, I was choppin it up with my homegirl today who was talkin to me about all kind of stuff. She broke down a lil bit and cried a lil bit and let me know that she was scared of living, like taking chances. And that what life is all about, so if you read this, just keep your head up girl. Your last heartbreak only makes you stronger, and your new relationship is just another chance to do things right. You got opportunity everywhere you look, you just got to take advantage of it. You are a strong person and can do anything, that why I'm always on you bout doing all your shit and keepin you're shit tight. You know you my ponta and I'll always have that second out my day to holla at you. Just do what you got to do, and keep ya head up, always up.

Awww and yes it feels good, I finished all my school work today, so I guess if official, I'm a college graduate. It ain't no where near sinking in yet. I'm just happy that it over. But I am nervous about what I'm bout to do these next few months. But whatever I do, I'm gone do it to the fullest, and live this shit up!!

They Remenisce Over You (T.R.O.Y) is the topic at hand. Why, cause yesterday and today, was a chance for me to kick it with some good friends from college and remenisce with them of my Cali college experience, which has been pretty wild, with plenty of ups and downs for me to learn from. So yesterday, my home girl had a lil grad party, for all of us grads, so me and my pontas hit it up and went and chilled over there. It was cool.

My one ponta, Lump, is a fool, that all I got to say about him and this shirt

The next morning I woke up and went to work, my job on campus that I've had for as long as I been here. I got off work at 12, and after that everybody that worked there got together and we went to this called Francisco's in Monterey.

I got a seafood burrito there, it may have been the best burrito I've ever eaten, no lie. It was cool to get with my boss and fellow co-workers one last time and talk about all the crazy things that went on in TAT. Although I'ma miss CSUMB, my time is up here, and I'm ready to move on . . . . . .peace!!

Okay so part 2 of what I wanted to write yesterday. And I know my blogs be looking long, but they really don't take a lot of time. My friend must of read it and was like, "you have no life" but I do, and all that yesterday took me about 15 minutes and I did it while I was at work. Which is the same senario today, me at work blogging. A lot of info and a short amount of time n e ways

PODCASTING

So in my radio class, we had someone by the name of Greg Pool come in and talk to our class about podcasting? What is that, yea I was thinking the same thing. Well he explained it better than I ever could, but briefly what podcasting is, in my opinion is when people go around a record radio shows on ipods (the quality sucks on an ipod actually, and there are other portable mp3 players that are better at recording, but that is where it orginated with the ipod.) Most of the shows are like talk radio, but some play music and do all types of things.

The cool thing about podcasting is that, people syndicate them, just like I syndicated this blog. So people can download a daily show to their ipod, automatically, using the rss feed from the person who makes the podcast show. Yea, this rss stuff is the future.

I don't really think my explaination is that good, or that in-depth about podcasting, so here are some links to help you out.
Notes from the lecture I went to
The Wikipedia definition of Podcasting
Website on top 50 podcast
And I know this is getting big, because while I thought this whole podcasting thing was underground, nope it went hollywood, cause Paris Hilton has her own podcast as well. I guess podcasting is pretty big.
Paris Hilton Podcast
So after I find a job this summer, I'm going to buy a Griffen Lapel Mic

and a iRiver-799

and start my own podcasting. After the lecture I went to, I am inspired to do something like Tree House Concerts where I would interview an artist(s) after a show.

And on a last note. I seen this real crazy video in another one of my classes the other day, it was about googlezon and EPIC, Although it not true, I found it hella interesting. I looked it up a lil bit just to find out I'm about 5 months late on when it first arrived on the net. But nonetheless I'm still gone blog about it, for my own reference!!. And that my time folks, thanks for coming out, god bless, peace!!!

What a weekend I had. It was cool, I got to hang out with my older sister a little bit which I don't do enough of, as we looked for a mother day's present for my mom. We ended up not getting anything at all. I also spent some of the day watchin my nephews track meet, which they did okay in, pulled a couple of 2nd places and a 4th and 6th place, at their little championship meet. I also got the word out to a ton a people about my shoe company, which is really doing good right now between ebay and the streets. So make sure you get at me if you need any Jordans, Bapes or Air Force 1. I was also pissed as hell because I had to drive a total of four hours sunday for my little sister to pick up my extra laptop for her to use on her trip to Louisana. Now how that happen I don't know, I must be the best brother in the world, so don't wonder why I'm moms favorite now!

Also while out and about this weekend, I came across what I think is going to be my new phone, the T-Mobile MDA.

I plan on getting one on eBay since I would have to pay full retail of $599 for one, which ain't happenin at all. I been trying to wait on this sidekick III

to be released, but they B.S-ing on the release of the device so I'm gone keep it moving. And since the MDA runs windows mobile, I be able to connect to my shoe company email, my corporate job email, and my contacts on MSN and AIM fully. Yea I need that device, it would make my time much more efficient!

I been soo busy and have so many things going on in my mind, that at times, I find myself blanking out. A great thing did happen today, what u asked? My professor cancelled class. Yes!!!! Gotta luv when that happens. It gave me some well-needed free time to hit the weights during the daytime. Fa sho!!! Over this past weekend we had a lil formal dance at my university, that is where those new pictures are from on my page. It was hella cool, I got a lil suited up, nothing major tho just a lil white shirt, blk & white tie, black hat and the crispy all white air force 1's. It was a well needed laugh, so many people were drunk in there it was hella funny watchin all them drunks run around not knowing how to control their liquor.

On another note, I'm on that official countdown till I graduate, 18 days and counting. I'm not sure what I am going to do, I kno fa sho I don't want to stay in Monterey, but I would move to the Bay, or back down south to LA or San Diego. But most of my friends and my closest family is up in Seattle / Tacoma still, so I kind of want to move up there, it just so boring and rains too much. But at least I would be around my folks and have somewhere to stay. My boy just bought a 5-bedroom house so stayin somewhere till I found a job is no problem. But one of my professors holla'ed at me today and told me to fix up a cover letter and resume and we going to talk to this radio company and see if they can make me a position at the station. Sounds good to me, so depending on how that goes, I might just be stayin in the bay area. I just gotta live my life and see what happens.

So pretty much things are calming down, most of my schoolwork is done, although I can't think like that, I find myself thinking like that, but in reality, I still got some work to do. But damn I'm so close to being done; I don't want to do sh*t. Just shit back and chill, I mos def see why cats take a break after they graduate, that all I want to do is take a 2 week break and just relax. It a damn shame too, my sister works for a cruise line and she gets free cruises, and I ain't going on one. That what I need right there, a cruise would mos def do me well right now.

And ohh on a personal note, not that I want the world to know my personal business, cause I'm a firm believer in what 's personal is personal, but relationships suck!!! Fu*k they can be frustrating sometimes, ya feel me!

And I swear my blog is more poppin than my page. My blog got more views than my page, how that sh*t work! I dunno, but it must be a gang of people readin this I guess, be nice to kno who ya'll are, so leave some fu*kin comments, kay. Maybe it not, maybe it just one crazy person lightweight stalkin me who reads my blog like 30 times a day. Okay maybe I went a lil far on the whole stalker thing.

And big ups to everyone who has been a faithful watcher or listener of my radio show this semester. A lot of people here on myspace have checked out the show and I really do appreciate all the luv I got. I gotta step my game up now and try to get some real DJ'in equipment of my own, so if anybody knows where I can get a good start on some sh*t, holla at me. I think I got one or two more shows left to do and then I'm done, but thanks to everyone who checked it out, it was hella fun. . . . . . . . . . . . .

I just had to put this post up, cause after about two days of str8 programming; I finally got my Flash RSS aggregator working. That had to be the hardest thing I've ever done that had no reward besides self-satisfaction. It was like one of those things I was determined to get, cause I hit hella walls trying to figure out how to get the thing working. Anyways, I embedded into my site here at myspace if any of you want to check it out. It does have one bug in it when you hit the button to view the next or previous article, sometimes it won't go, because you have to hit a different area on the button, don't know why, but it a bug. Other than that, it works perfect.

And damn, this semester went by quick, my professor was talking in class letting us know we really only have 2 weeks of school left. Awwww only 2 weeks of college left for me folks. It a pretty good, scary, nervous, hello let's meet the world feeling. But it is a big accomplishment, and it does feel good. I guess these next two weeks I'm just gone chill, and kind of take time out and reflect on my past two and a half years out here in Monterey. Cause my time is f**kin up here in Monterey, nothing against it, it nice and all, but it not for me.

An interesting thing I seen on myspace today was a post by JaGoff.
It was talking about the new Family Entertainment & Copyright Act, which is saying that anyone, anyone that shares one, not two, three, or a hundred, yes all you Ares, Kazaa users, it only takes one file for you to share. Actually not even share, as long as you have the file in a shared folder, meaning technically you ain't even got to be sharing the file for you to face 3 hard years in the Penn or major fines. Read the article for more info, I'm bout to pass out!!!!

A class project working with Flash and XML somehow lead me into re-doing my whole blog page, syndicating my blog, and writing a Flash program to read RSS feeds. So after two days of str8 programming and doing schoolwork, I thought it was time to reflect on what the f**k just happen.
So I had to do a project in my only computer class to get Flash to load XML, some text and video. It wasn't really that hard and I figured it out pretty fast, just did some searches on the web about XML and flash, and loading video in flash, did a lil coding and bam, project done.
While on the search, I came across something called RSS. I had no clue what RSS was, and one of my friends had a RSS thing on his page so I continued to look at what RSS was. I found out that what RSS was, no way I could explain it in this blog, but you can click here to read more for yourself . But it cool what it can do.Basically is like a news link, and you can get a lot of RSS feeds into one News aggregator program or web page. I'm currently using newsgator, which is pretty good. And the feeds aren't just limited to news; you can get feeds from blogs and just about anything else on the web that is RSS syndicated. I'm currently pulling some from ESPN basketball , Vibe album reviews , and SOHH, a hip-hop website. So I thought, wouldn't it be great if I could get RSS feeds to show up on my myspace page, cause I'm on here so much, minus well make it worth my time and read the news. So I thought it would be easy, come to find, it is damn near impossible. I couldn't figure out how people translate RSS into html, although there are some programs that do it, but you need php or JavaScript. So that was out the question. Then I thought, well if I can read XML in Flash, RSS is not that much different, actually they are pretty much the same and some RSS feeds are XML documents. So I do a search on that, and all I find our tutorials on how to read RSS in flash using PHP!!!!! But finally I found something I can use, I will have to do a lot of the coding still, but at least I have something to work with, which is something flash based using XMLSA, which basically takes the RSS feed and put in into readable arrays flash can pull information from. So yea, that me getting hi-tek with it, and I know, half the people that read this, ain't gone know what the f**k I'm talkin about here, but if you can figure it out, it will be well worth it.

And as far as syndicating my blog, or getting an RSS feed for my blog, it doesn't work. There is something you can use to turn you myspace blog into a RSS feed, but it doesn't work for my page for some strange reason. You can try it out for yourself and it just might work for you, but I guess I'm sh*t outta luck on that one. I'm pretty much burnt out on the whole RSS thing at this point, I figured out enough and got enough working for now. Maybe after I get my RSS aggregator on my page, I will do that next. PEACE!!!

Man, it been a while since I posted a blog, so just a run down on what I've been working on lately and what going on.

Well what was consuming most of my time fell through and did not work out at all. But I haven't gave up on the idea, and thanks to some good advice from a mentor of mines, hopefully in the near future it will all work out.

I hate dentist. I had to get a root canal, and get my teeth worked on, which was one of my worst experiences at a dentist ever. It wasn't the dentist that was so bad that I seen, actually all dentist were great, it was the sorry ass people working behind the desk when you enter the office that sucked. I got insurance, yet this one office try to say they don't take it. Bullshit!! So after a few I had to cuss someone out phone calls and a few I gotta type this email and go the hell off were sent out, I got a call saying my insurance is accepted and they will fully refund me, which I am still waiting on so it seems I'm not done with them yet, just sorry service, sorry. It was just all bad, but I got it worked out, but what a bad experience.

So my boy put me on to a business opportunity that at first I didn't see at all. I don't think he saw the potential in it either. But hopefully this venture works out better than the last one, but if not, I'm a just keep it pushin right on to the next thing.

So I started volunteering at the Late-Night Program at the YMCA. I think it a great program and when I was younger, I use to love going to Late-Night. So I enjoy my time spent there with kids, showing them all kind of basketball stuff and making sure they on the right track.

So if you haven't noticed on my page there are like 23 beats all made by me. It just a hobby I've picked up because I got the time and do it with minimal effort. I don't think they too bad, but it nothing serious for me, just fun.

I'm still writing for Seaspot the magazine and Seaspot.com. I really need to pick up my game on that and start writing more. I've just completed one story about a local label Filthy Rich and one of their artist, Emmanuel. Check him out, my favorite song is Old School. So look for that story. I also just covered some performances and a freestyle battle that took place this past Wednesday. The show was hot, man gotta give it up for Mic Phenomenal, he was hot. Much props to Y.O. the Youngin, who I thought was good too, and in his final round, mos def stepped his game up and came with some hard one-liners and real spit. I just think what put Mic above him more than anything was his delivery and the way he was able to work the crowd. Big ups to both of them, so be on the lookout for my J-scluvise interview with the winner, Mic Phenomenal and my bi-weekly column called "The Show Report" where I will be going to local shows every other week and writing a review one them, all in Seaspot the magazine and Seaspot.com

I think that about it, nope it not, but that enough for now.
