This was definitely a fun show. This was at The Windjammer in Isle of Palms, South Carolina for the Hotel Carolina Fan Festival. I'd like to thank Mark and Aaaron who play drums and bass for Tyrone Wells for providing a rhythm section for this song. :)

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Justin Ancheta & Friends show last night (www.myspace.com/justinancheta).  It had been a while since I played a show with my brother from another mother (and culture) and it felt like home as always.  Venue was sold out, dance floor was fuckin' packed with good vibes, and we fed off of all of you for the whole night.  It has been quite a while since I've played music in Nevada City and miss the people  /  vibe  / energy of it all.  Thank you to Justin, Tree, Hernan, Peter, Alex & Other horn guy for the honor my friends.  A live recording was made and I'm sure it will surface soon. Let's do it again soon...

Here's a show review from Festival John who was in attendance:

Justin Ancheta & Friends put on a Stellar show last night at Coopers Ale Works in Nevada City. Now living in San Francisco Justin grew up here in the foothills, going to High School in Colfax. Justin's eclectic style of reggae flavored indie-rock, funk and jazz has created a buzz throughout Northern California. I thought the music he played last night was awesome all night long. I say there's something about certain music that simply makes us feel better about being alive. That is how I felt all night and I would venture to say that all of the very large crowd at Coopers felt the same. Justin had local musicians playing with him like Joshua Tree on Bass and the two Sax players. I was so glad to have been there and so glad to live in a small town with such a wonderful music scene.

Hi kids,

So,  there are a lot of videos and other things floating around out there, so I figured I would make a little blog here of some videos of some of the latest shows with Alyssa and other stuff:

Here is "Tonight's The Night" at B.B. King's club in Memphis, TN:

Here is Bryn Loosley (of Buffalo Creek) and I doing a duo:
Nick Bearden & Bryn Loosley

Here I got yanked out from behind the drums with Buffalo Creek and wound up on guitar doing a 2/4 version of Honky Tonk Woman - longtime chico legend Clint Bear got up on drums and ripped it, along with Spencer on Mandolin.  Good times in Chico, CA:

Here's "Beautiful Night" from Cafe Coda in Chico, CA:

Here is "Sunset Blue" at Cafe Coda in Chico, CA:

Here is "Fall Out" at The Room 5 Lounge in Los Angeles, CA:

Here is "In love with a disaster"  - it's a new one and I did not have any real clue how the song goes - at The Room 5 Lounge in Los Angeles, CA:

Here's "Beautiful Night" at The Room 5 Lounge in Los Angeles, CA:

Here's a fun one:  Somehow I wound up on bass because Alyssa did drums on "Come Together" at The Coach House:

Here is "Fall Out" at The Tin Roof in Nashville, TN:

Here is "Fall Out" at B.B. King's in Memphis, TN - this was a different night than the video up above:

More to come later...
