We are in the process of tracking, writing and rehearsing for our 3rd album.  However, we want to make sure it is everything it can be so we are taking our time musically and lyrically to let the thought process run its course instead of forcing the issue.  In the meantime, we will be giving previews of specific pre-released tracks from the album.  We hope to have the 3rd album released during Spring 2009.  Thanks for all the support and stay up with our shows.  We need ya!

Hello All,

Well...its been a bit since our last blog, but here we are nonetheless.  The end of '07 is quickly approaching.  We have truly been blessed this past year to have made many new friends and fans and had the opportunities to get our feet in some new doorways as well as a couple of us beginning new ways of life!  So here's the EFC update for the upcoming year:

Chad will finish his college and receive his slip of paper in May '08(Dustin received his diploma in '06 and Travis in '07).  Soon after, we plan on traveling, playing and hoping to get on some tour legs around the country.  For that, we are super stoked about getting out of our home state, meeting new people, and spreading the EFC vibes.  (If you reside anywhere along the West or East coasts or anywhere in between, have connections to venues or bands in or close to our genre, and would like to help our cause, please send us a contact message and we'll be in touch promptly). 

For now, we are working on material for album 3 and looking to purchase a new traveling vehicle. 

Thanks to the following people, bands, and venues for their help this year(in no particular order): "Griz", Craig Lawrence, Rob Fitzpatrick, KJ, Asa & Jen, Coach, Passafire, Pepper, Expendables, The English Beat, House of Blues Dallas, Poor David's Pub, Patrick @ Maggie Mae's, Canvas and the staff, Jeff Rhyder's Drum Shop, Fetus and the GC crew, people who have let us sleep on their floors and crash their houses after shows.

Finally, we would like to say a fond farewell to "the Beast"!  We had a good run together!  haha (the beast)

Everything's going well for EFC!  We've continued to play shows and making progress for future endeavors.  Were excited to be playing at our parent venue this weekend and looking forward to seeing familiar faces and partyin with the San Marcos crowd.

We will be playing an opening gig with the Pepper/Expendables tour in Dallas at The House of Blues on November 17th.  This should be a great opportunity to expose ourselves(musically) to some new eyes and ears and gain some new fans as well as get some more of our music circulating around the greater Dallas area.  Hope to see you out!

Finally, were beginning to make plans for future tours.  As of now were looking at first, going out West and up the west coast.  After that, we'll be taking a tour up the east coast and in the midwest region.  Were living in exciting times and were looking forward to all the new experiences we'll have, people we'll meet and things we'll see while away from home.  These are still in the process of being planned to begin in the latter part of May and throughout the summer months.  If you have any ideas or suggestions as far as venues or connections throughout these areas, feel free to send us a message.
