What is Trekstock?
            
Well, Trekstock began in 2006 when a TCT supporter signed up for a TCT trek to Everest. To raise money she started a little gig, visited the UK festivals, spread the word about TCT with her Trekstock badges... the message grew far and wide as did the support from world famous artists and celebrities and the beginnings of ‘Trekstock’ was born. In 2007 and 2008 she continued to trek for the charity through the Andes and Costa Rica raising money with 9 Trekstock gigs in total and has planned a trek for 2009.

In the first year the gig raised over £3,000, the second around £6,000 and with 8 Trekstock @ The Boogaloo gigs in 2008 with performances from The Mighty Boosh, Coco Sumner, Natty, David Ford, Starsailor, Rosie Oddie and The Odd Squad, Radio 1’s Nihal, The Rifles, Matt Horne and more...  over £7000 was raised for TCT not to mention invaluable awareness and positive press.

From it’s beginning, the Trekstock brand has gained a lot of celebrity support from artists and celebrities such as Mark Ronson, Beth Ditto, Katy Perry, Mischa Barton, Kings of Leon, Agyness Deyn, The Klaxons, Jack Osbourne, Kate Nash, Dirty Pretty Things, Does it Offend You Yeah? The Mighty  Boosh, CH4's ‘Skins’, The Horrors, Radio 1’s Chris Moyles, Zane Lowe and Nihal, Gossip Girls’ Chace Crawford, Kimberly Stewart, Jade Jones, Sadie Frost, Jimmy Carr, Johnny Vegas, The Mystery Jets, Alan Carr and many, many more. All of the above are pictured supporting Trekstock and wearing the now cult 'I heart Trekstock' badges.
 
In addition, artists such as Ralph Steadman, Oasis, Kings of Leon, Razorlight, Chromeo, The Klaxons, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, members of The Smiths, The Mighty Boosh, Jarvis Cocker, Russell Brand, Albert Hammond Jnr, Jason Mraz, Band of Horses, Art Brut, The Kills, Gary Numan, amongst others, have all signed guitars and other personal items for the 'Trekstock' auction which ran through the Summer of 2007 and was published in NME, Cosmo and a wide reach of online press. Plans for 2009 star studded auctions are underway...

Trekstock has had mentions on two Radio 1 shows in 2008. ITN have also filmed the Trekstock at The Boogaloo gig and distributed the news feed nationwide.

Trekstock has had a presence promoting TCT at the following festivals - Glastonbury, Bestival, V Festival, Leeds Festival, The Mighty Boosh Festival, O2 Wireless, Hard Rock Calling.

In 2008, designers Will Broome, Laura Lees, Kate Moross and Tatty Devine designed a range of specially commissioned t-shirts and jewelry for Trekstock. The Will Broome bag has been featured in Vogue Nov 08. Kelly Osbourne and Luke Worrall have modelled the 2009 collection.

We've had special appearance and stripped down acoustic gigs from the following incredible artists, who have all so kindly given up their time to come and support Teenage Cancer Trust and here's a little video that ITN did last time they came...
