Hola Amigos

for those of you who haven't heard, Lexa and Kumi entered the US Tango
Salon Competition. We made history by being the 1st same sex couple to
be officially recognized by the Mundial in Buenos Aires. We came in
with a respoectable 3rd place in the finals. Suerte to Eduardo y
Cyrena who won 1st place and will be competing next month in the
Mundial in Bs As.

If you weren't able to attend the competition, here are some moments

The big Astrology news is that as of September, I will be writing the
astrology column for CosmoGirl magazine. The first issue appears on

Lexa will be giving a lecture on the Sacred Tarot. There will be other workshops on the magickal arts and wonderful craftspeople selling god/dess and wiccan wares. We will dance the Maypole and crown a new May King and Queen.
This is an ancient and sacred fertility rite and brings prosperity to all who participate.

The holidays are approaching and it's a MAD RUSH! Don't let that affect your dance! Lexa discusses the PAUSE in the tango. Where does it come and how is it placed. Learn how to listen for the pause in specific orchestras. Learn some elegant techniques for the Pause.

How should you open your dance? This question will be answered for both leaders and follows with exercises and possibilities explored. Tonite beginners are also welcomed.

MILONGA TRASPIE
Happy Chanukah! Work those latkes off! Inspired by the spinning Dreidel, Lexa teaches some fast milonga giros (turns) and leads a 30 minute milonga traspie warmup and then we will continue to practice the fast paced milonga for another full hour!

since 1996. Some of her teachers include: Laura Greenbeck, Omar Vega,
Pupi Castello, Diego y Negracha, Graciela Gonzalez, Viviana Parra,
Jorge Torres, Brigita Winkler, Tete, "El Pipe" Avellaneda, Olga Besio,
"El Flaco" Dani, Susanna Miller, y Cacho Dante.

Lexa also studied ballet, jaz, tap, flamenco, swing, and country
western dancing. She taught Argentine tango and milonga at DanceSport
in NYC (2002-2004) and continues to teach privately.

In the first half hour of the lab, Lexa will lecture on a specific aspect of the Tarot. In the following hour, Lexa will work with participants and answer individual questions concerning the reading and interpretation of the Tarot. Bring a tarot deck and notebook please. Be prepared to test your psychic skills as you team up with other class members to read the tarot cards and be read by other members.

New Moon
In this special class, we will take advantage of the benefits of the New Moon. In the first half hour, Lexa will discuss the Moon card and other key cards connected to it. In the following hour, participants will take advantage of a ONCE A MONTH treat. Although it is usually advised against reading one's own Tarot cards, the New Moon is the most healthy time to indulge in said act. Participants will read their own cards and look for personal guidance and messages for the coming month. Lexa will help you develop your intuitive abilities and give direction on how to safely and positively interpret your own cards.

Psychic Power Night
The moon is in Pisces and what better time to develop the psychic sight. Lexa will lead an exercise to open the third eye and psychic ability will be strengthened and trained specifically for prediction through Tarot. (Note: Incense will be used in this class and a tea will be served to open the door to vision. Please let Lexa know beforehand if you have any allergies.)

Alchemy
With the Sun in Sagittarius we will examine the Major Arcana card that represents this sign. The Temperance card teaches us to have patience and to be able to make adjustments while working the alchemical process in our lives. Lexa will discuss these principles in the Tarot and discuss the Temperance tarot card and all cards that relate to it. Learn what the card means in a layout and how to use it in meditation to create positive change.

More SEX AND THE TAROT
Everyone wants to know about romance and love, but did you realize that the Tarot can also give SPECIFIC DETAILS about sexual nature and appetites?! Lexa lifts the veil and reveals the sexual meanings of key cards. For those of you who missed this lecture in November, here's another chance to get up close and personal. (This is not a repeat class as Lexa will discuss another series of cards and their sexual interpretations.)
