Hi :) For the holidays, I have 2 brand new music videos for you, the final photo-vote, and another riddle competition! Happy Holidays to all of you! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! TWO NEW VIDEOS!Two brand new music videos for you in this freezin' season. One of them is definitely the funniest Fox video you're likely to see... the other is one of the more serious videos. This is the last Newsletter of the decade! XMAS SPECIAL OFFER!Don't forget that this week is the last week of the Xmas special offer. If you buy either (or both) of my CDs for Xmas, for yourself or anyone else, they will come signed and personalized to you! This is the last offer of this sort until the tour begins, and then you'll only be able to get them signed at the shows... if you'd like to help support the music and buy my albums for Xmas, go to http://www.elipsus.net and use PayPal or Credit or Debit to buy them for $10 each. If you'd prefer to pay by mail (cash/check/money order), e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIl.COM to order. NEW MUSIC VIDEOS!
RAP TO THE FUTUREYes, there is now a video for my most outspoken, ridiculous song. I think some of you guys are going to really, really like this one. Please watch it, rate it, comment it here: http://www.dailymotion.com../video/xbk7kw_fox-elipsus-..rap-to-the-future_music
LIVING IN LUXURY The latest vid from the 2007 "Changing History" album, LIL is a sobering look at the world we live in and the way our actions affect nations we may not have even heard of, very directly and very negatively. Please watch, rate and comment: http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=FXqCriiT1w8 UNREQUITED If you are feeling romantic this xmas, listen to my most popular love song, "Unrequited" - both video versions of this song are now back online, so you can bookmark your favourite, or you can check both out, and decide which you like better: Leonardo DiCaprio: http://www.dailymotion.com../video/xbhg39_fox-elipsus-..unrequited_musicRobert Pattinson: http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=OQqq2eKNARgSee what I did there? I just created "Team Jack" versus "Team Edward"! How original! SET US FREE Yes, I know you saw this one last month, but I think you'll agree, it's worth seeing again. We're entering a new decade now, and it's vital that we start thinking about ways to come together and make things better for our future generations, before it's too late. My most important video: http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=kVszDLcUFXUThere are now two places to watch my music videos. Most of the official videos are on my official Fox Elipsus YouTube channel. But there is now also the official Fox Elipsus DailyMotion, which contains all the videos you can't see on YouTube - so far Rap To The Future and Unrequited (Leo version) are the only two on there. But bookmark them! OFFICIAL YOUTUBE VIDEOS: http://www.youtube.com/Fox..Elipsus OFFICIAL DAILYMOTION VIDEOS: http://www.dailymotion.com../FoxElipsus
SHARE THE LOVE! Because the tour is over, and I'm stuck in the studio, it's hard to reach more people with my music and the fan numbers have slowed dramatically. We're just over 59,000 right now. But you can help them continue to rise, and it's really really easy. All you have to do is go to http://www.facebook.com/Fo..xElipsus and then click "suggest to friends" - then select all of your friends, and "send invitations." Not only will you help the Fox Elipsus fan numbers shoot past 60,000 before New Year, but you'll also introduce all of my peaceful and heartfelt songs to an entirely new audience. There is almost no better way to spread songs of peace and love, than by telling all of your friends. But there is one better way: my promo team needs your help :) We spend a lot of time each week working on getting the music out there, and reaching new fans with my songs. It's a lot of fun and we're a very warm and friendly group. We also have a trivia quiz for the whole team every Sunday night which is tons of fun. If you'd like to join the team, find out more, or even just try the trivia quiz, e-mail me directly at elipsus@gmail.com THE FINAL PHOTO VOTE! Will begin three days from the date of this newsletter, this coming Wed Dec 23, at 8pm Eastern. You will be able to rate and rank your favourite pictures from all of the winners of the first 5 rounds, and your votes will determine which photo will be (a) the cover of my new album, (b) in the CD booklet for my new album, and (c) going on my official websites! From Wed, you can find the vote here: http://www.facebook.com/no..tes/fox-salehi/finale/2331..03088622WHAT'S GOING ON?! It's freezing up here, and I'm huddled inside under a heat blanket, making my 3rd album and looking forward to touring half of the western world when the weather starts picking up in the Spring. I hope I get to meet all of you that are out there, reading... and those of you that already met me this year or last, I hope to see you again! It's been an incredible year, better than I imagined... thousands of CD sales (which combined with the donations, managed to keep me alive and making music)... almost 60,000 fans now on facebook (and who knows how many, not on facebook!)... and a real belief that the next decade, which begins in a few weeks, could be the defining decade for my music career. I hope so. We shall see. I believe that in 10 years I'll still be doing this, and a few more people will be reading my newsletters... but only time will tell. If it wasn't for my promoters, I would never have come this far, and this Xmas I'd like to give thanks, and I'd like all of my fans to give thanks too, to these wonderful people that have worked and rallied voluntarily, from the first day of the year until now, to really make this year special. There are too many of you to name, but every one of you has been absolutely amazing this year, and you should be truly proud of yourselves. I do still need your charity, more than ever. With a new record on the way, that means equipment, marketing and production costs, followed by an ambitious tour that begins in the Spring. If you'd like to help by making a donation, they are welcome and extremely helpful. You can do it through paypal to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM or you can e-mail me there to ask how you can send something in other ways, and help in other ways. My music is 100% supported by the fans. There are no labels, no managers, no paid promoters, and it really is a poverty line existence for the time being - and I am okay with that. THE RIDDLE WIN a copy of Momentum, signed! The winner of last month's riddle was: Randy Lee! This month, the first 10 correct answers will be put into a hat. The winner receives a free signed copy of my latest double CD "Momentum"... Well to start with... North Dakota should not be in the same country as Warsaw. Do you agree? Good. Then do something about it. You can then reveal what you are at the end. If you can bear it, that is. James Bond's boss should replace the need to urinate, right from the start. Then you can plead the 5th, instead of having your A & R person finish things off for you. Now you're inside, or perhaps on the surface. What are you? The answer is a 4 letter word. Send all entries with title "THE RIDDLE" to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM NEXT MONTH! "Pay It Forward"... Competition Winners... Full Tour Schedule Announced For 2010... and another New Music Video! SNOW IN AFRICA... I'm going to leave you with a word from Bob Geldof and a bunch of people with bad hair. I know sometimes I sound like Bob Geldof with my passionate pleas on behalf of the poor, but believe me, I'm proud to sound like that man. And he was right. There is no better time to think about the people that have nothing, than now, when some of us (not myself) are dropping extraordinary amounts of money on cards, lights, decorations, an abundance of food, gift bags (gift bags... really?), electronics, and presents aplenty, for the ones we love, and a few others, too. I hope you have an amazing holiday season, but do spare a thought for the other ones. Perhaps you can give just a little this coming year to the people of Africa that need it the most (watch my Living In Luxury video). Or even the less fortunate families in Europe and America, who are genuinely struggling to keep a roof over their heads. We can't do much individually, but not doing much is better than not doing anything at all. But say a prayer... pray for the other ones... At Xmas time it's hard, but when you're having fun... There's a world outside your window, and it's a world of dread and fear... Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears... And the Xmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom... Well tonight, thank God it's them instead of you... And there won't be snow in Africa this Xmas time... The greatest gift they'll get this year is life... VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=8jEnTSQStGEIt really isn't that hard to Feed The World, you know. When it finally happens, we'll call it a miraculous accomplishment, but it really isn't a miracle. It's a crime that it hasn't happened yet. A lot of people blame the leaders of the various countries for this, but in truth, if everyone on earth wanted to make sure nobody on earth went hungry... I don't think they would go hungry. Humans can accomplish anything - we've already proven that so many times. And we have more than enough to go around, don't we. I love all of you. And I hope you still believe we can change. I do! :) See you next decade! It's going to be our decade. Let's make it so! With love always Fox PS Q: What is the most peaceful animal on earth? A: The Dalai Llama PPS Q: What do you call it when a cow says something that really makes no difference? A: a Moo Point. PPPS Q: What did the well-mannered sheep say to its kid at the gate? A: "after ewe" PPPPS Q: What do you call it when all the ducks in the world suddenly start making noises? A: an Earthquack The Lion's share of the 00's was taken up by war. Let's hope the 10's can be quite different.

Hi :)
People sometimes ask me why I do this, how I started. I don't
do this to make music and see the world, alone. That's fun but those
are just perks. They're not the underlying factors. Do what you love?
Yes, I agree. But that's not what started this, for me. I do this
because I want to make a difference. I want to stand up for the things
that are underrepresented in our music and our culture. Equality,
unity, peace, animals, and the environment. I do this because I have no
other choice. I have to try, and convince as many people as humanly
possible, to try along with me. So many people died for peace, and it's
the least I can do to live for it... and sing for it. Because when I
was young, I had a dream, and I'm still holding on to what I believe:
all of the people controlling our own destiny... all of us equal, in a
world that's peaceful.
And that is what my brand new, most ambitious, most important, and
somewhat controversial new music video is all about. We also have a
Thanksgiving special offer (only available until Thursday), and we have
lots and lots of photos of me (I have no idea why you would want to see
such a thing) for you to vote on, to decide which pix will be used on
my websites and on my 3rd album! And we have a riddle... a
"mythtery"... towards the end of this November newsletter.
THE CONTROVERSIAL NEW MUSIC VIDEO:
Whatever you believe, I hope this video makes you yearn for unity and
dream of peace. This is an epic video designed by myself and a very
close friend, for the song "Set Us Free", the first track on my 2009
double CD "Momentum" and possibly the most important song I've written.
This is not a song for Democrats. It is not a song for Republicans. It
is not a song for Socialists. It is not a song for Capitalists. It is a
song for the Human Race. A song for the world. For all people. A song
for peace, and about the dream of people coming together, and the power
of people when we do. If you disagree with one line, or one scene, or
one "hero", don't let that detract from the message: we *all* want
peace, and only we can make it happen. Together. Only we can set us
free.
Watch it for free, here. Please rate it and comment on it.
SET US FREE: http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=kVszDLcUFXU
I hope you love it. :) If you love it, please buy the CD to help support the music, for only $10 at http://www.elipsus.net
Remember, it's not about which parts you don't agree with. It's about
what you do agree with. Not where we part, but what we share. Don't
allow yourself to be conditioned to pick flaws and faults in the
goodness you see. Instead, embrace the similarities, the parts you
agree with, the parts that inspire you, and the fact that we all have
so many fundamental things in common, despite any differences we may
have. It's a good thing to celebrate our differences. It is a bad thing
to clash over them. But it is an even better thing to celebrate what we
have in common: love... family... soul... hopes... dreams... humanity.
And one of the things we all have in common is that we all want peace.
All of us. And if we all want it, then we all can make it happen.
Help spread these sorts of peaceful and powerful messages around the
world, and join my energetic, wonderful, warm, close-knit promotional
team. 15 minutes a month is the minimum contribution (anyone can handle
that!)... join us :) e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM for more details.
Remember to keep the fan base growing, go to http://www.facebook.com/fo..xelipsus
- click "become a fan" - then "suggest to friends" - then select all
your friends - then "send invitations". That is by far the best way for
us to turn 50,000 fans into 60,000 and then into 70,000. That is
another pro-active way to spread this music of peace.
THANKSGIVING SPECIAL OFFER:
Since it's Thanksgiving in the USA (where I am at the moment), I
decided to give thanks to my 50,000 wonderful fans by offering you the
chance to get a signed personalized copy of either one of my CDs.
So for just four more days (until Thursday at midnight, Eastern
time), if you buy either "Changing History" or "Momentum" (or both) for
just $10 each at http://www.elipsus.net
- then when they arrive, they will be signed and personalized to you,
by me. :) I hope you like them! You can use PayPal or Credit Card on
that website. If you'd prefer to order by mail (cash, money order,
check), just send an e-mail to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM to order!
If you already have the CDs and want to get yours signed and
personalized, just bring them along to any of my FREE international
shows (200 or more shows) on the 2010 tour, which begins in April and
ends in December 2010.
Since it's Thanksgiving, I'd also like to take this opportunity to say
a massive thank you to my promotional team for keeping my fan base
growing and spreading this music of peace, working tirelessly day in
and day out... :) and I hope every one of you knows how much you mean
to me. :) And I would also like to thank all of my wonderful fans for
listening and for buying my CDs to keep me going. This year has been
incredible thanks to all of you! :)

THE RIDDLE
Win a copy of "Momentum"! If you are one of the first 10 people to
answer this riddle, you will be entered into a competition prize
drawing. One of you will receive a signed copy of "Momentum" for free!
E-mail your entries to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM with the subject title
"riddle".
Here it is:
It is the middle of winter. There are two doors. One door leads to
Liverpool, England (home of the world's best football team). The other
leads to Liverpool, NY - a suburb of Syracuse - in a blizzard (lake
effect snow coming down from Ontario). You definitely want to go to
Liverpool, England and not end up frozen and snowed-in in suburbia. But
you don't know which door is which. Barack Obama stands in front of one
door, and George W Bush stands in front of the other. You know that one
of them always lies, and one of them always tells the truth, but you
don't know which it is, and there is no way to find out. You are
allowed ONE question and you can only ask ONE politician - either Bush
or Obama. You must get to Liverpool, England, and must avoid Liverpool,
NY at all costs. But you don't know which door is which. And you have
to find out. Remember, one of them ALWAYS lies, but one of them ALWAYS
tells the truth, and you have no way of knowing which is which.
WHAT QUESTION DO YOU ASK AND WHO DO YOU ASK?
There is only one correct answer. Good luck! E-mail your entries to elipsus@gmail.com with subject "riddle"
NEXT MONTH
Holiday special offer!
Another riddle competition!
Another music video!
The photo-vote finale!
I love all of you, and never stop believing that through peace and
unity, we might be able to turn things around before it's too late.
With love
Fox
PS
I hope these make you smile:
Q: What did the tiny bear eating Eucalyptus with his shades on say to the big panda bear?
A: I'm Koala than you.
PPS
Q: Why is Nicole Kidman afraid of boats?
A: Because she was stuck on a Tom Cruise for years.
PPPS
Q: Which actor was once in the biggest grossing movie of all time but
now has been reduced to bit-part roles and two-second appearances
A: Leonardo DiCameo

Wow, I am impressed. I am impressed by the fact that this is going out to at least 50,000 of you today. I always intended to build a massive movement for peace and love and to bring meaning back to music, but I didn't realize it would go from zero to 88 miles per hour so quickly. I am thrilled, and excited, and impressed, to say the least. Today we have a new music video, a lot of thank yous, and I reveal a few other artists that might also move you. NEW MUSIC VIDEO Fox (not me, nor Mulder - but our third, evil triplet that has manifested itself as a media empire), destroyed the Unrequited Titanic video some months ago, so a very special fan has worked around the clock to put together a new Unrequited video for those of you with romantic souls. Here is the video, you *may* recognize the movie we used for it, even though it's a little obscure. Please rate it, comment on it, and send it to all your friends. If you like it a lot, buy MOMENTUM which features this song, and 23 others, for just $10 at http://www.elipsus.netThe new Unrequited Video - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=OQqq2eKNARg See all of my music videos here - http://www.youtube.com/fox..elipsus
THE TOUR SO FAR - AND HOW GRATEFUL I AM I've now played 298 shows this year, and by the end of the year it will be 369 (just so I can say I played more shows than there were days in the year). I hope you will join me at one of the 68 remaining shows. It will be worth it :) Every show is free, and they have been getting larger and more enjoyable for everyone lately. In fact, I'd like to just tell you how grateful I am... and how much it moves me... and rocks my world... when these things happen... - when I see the fan numbers climbing and climbing, because you people keep clicking "become a fan" and suggesting my page to all your friends on this page: http://www.facebook.com/fo..xelipsus - Keep it up! - when I see CD sales through my website http://www.elipsus.net - For someone who lives in my car, it is these sales that pay my gas money, and for the food that fuels the drive to continue. - when you offer gifts, money, shelter, photo shoots, promotional assistance (and sometimes your... er... bodies) to try and help me reach the world in any way you can. Some of you have gone above and beyond and without you - there is no way I would have made it this far. - when dozens and dozens and dozens of you come out from your cozy homes and attend my free shows. Once you're there, it's fun for everyone, but it takes a certain amount of effort to actually come out and try something new... don't think I don't know that - and truly appreciate it - that so many of you continue to do so, day in and day out. - when I am singing to a crowd and instead of clapping politely, they cheer, they holler, they scream, and they make enough noise to remind me that I must never give up. - when I look into my audience and see you singing back the lyrics to my songs. Do you have ANY idea how much that means to me? It is a beautiful thing. Keep doing it! - when you request specific songs of mine, that you know from previous shows, or the internet, or from the CDs you already have. It really makes me smile to know you know my songs! - when you tell me that something I have done, said, written, or sung about, has had a positive influence on you, your life, or someone you know. - when day after day, my promotional team goes out of their way to keep the music alive by spending hours and hours doing everything that I could never do alone. - when I see your wonderful comments on elipsus.net, on my youtube videos, and on my facebook fan page, as well as those you send to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM - when some of you drive an hour, two hours, three or more, or even fly - to see me perform. - when you tell me which songs you like and don't like, and why - when you tell me how my songs and my mission affected you, and what they mean to you. In order to go one step beyond being a "fan" and truly, truly help - consider becoming a part time promoter (anywhere from 10 mins and up per week). Create a free email address at http://www.gmail.com - then e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM if you are interested in finding out more.
I am currently on a 2-week break so all donations, CD sales, and tips right now are not only hugely appreciated as always, but truly needed. Thank you for keeping them coming. The remaining tour schedule is here:http://www.facebook.com/no..te.php?note_id=64918906054
SEND YOUR STUFF! Do you have photos or videos of me from the tour sitting around? We need them! It's not enough to just post them on facebook and tag me - I may never see them! Please e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM and tell us you have some. Or just send them to that e-mail! That way we may be able to use your photos in my next album... COMPETITION CONTINUES If you would like to win a copy of "the early years" demo CD which less than 20 people on earth have... all you have to do is join my fun, close-knit promo team and stay for awhile! It's very easy work and you'll make lots of friends, and will be able to keep in touch with me on a daily basis. If you want to join and enter this competition, create a free gmail address at http://www.gmail.com - then send an e-mail to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM with your name, city, and whether you would like to try "A-team" (which is where we really need you) or "B-team" (which has easier stuff to do.) Can't wait to meet you! 50,000 FANS We are currently at 45,000 and will pass Cute Is What We Aim For in the next month or two to become WNY's #2 artist on facebook (behind GooGoo Dolls). I'd like to hit 50k by the time the next newsletter comes out (first week of Nov) and for that, we need your help! Go to http://www.facebook.com/fo..xelipsus - "become a fan" if you aren't yet - and then click "suggest to friends." Then select all of your friends, and then "send invitations". If even 100 of you do this, it will cause the fan numbers to swell dramatically. Thank you so very much for helping me spread these messages of peace! OTHER ARTISTS YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO... If you are not familiar with Muse, you should be. If you are familiar with Muse, you should listen to their latest offering. Muse are, I am proud to say, one of very few artists in mainstream music who are using their music to promote peace and love and power to the people. Uprising by Muse - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=w8KQmps-Sog Other songs to listen to: Did you know Coldplay's first (and best?) song/video was about the state of the environment? Coldplay - Don't Panic - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=jpei22c3SDM Did you know Nik Kershaw was my biggest influence as a child. Without him I would not be me. I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=zGbnLCwMG_k And if these songs are too heavy for you, a heavenly X-Files/Snow Patrol combo. Very romantic. Make This Go On Forever - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=aTwgqIQlqJY NEXT MONTH (NOVEMBER)- Pay It Forward! - Another new music video! - My full tour schedule for the rest of the year! - If you missed me live on tour, see some LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDS on YouTube! New! - Vote for which photos should be included in the next CD booklet and be uploaded onto my official sites! - In the meantime, don't forget to watch and rate Unrequited and my other vids! http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=OQqq2eKNARgKeep believing, and keep supporting music, thoughts, hopes and dreams that can make a difference, and undo the damage we have done to our beautiful world.
Fox Elipsus, Buffalo NY. PS Q: Why do salesmen tell the same old stories every day? A: Because they are in re-tale. PPS Q: Why are pirates scary? A: They just ARRRRRR. PPPS Q: What do you call an employee of Walmart that is willing to die for their job? A: A Walmartyr. They will not control us...

Good evening to the world... today we have TWO new music videos for you, a competition to win my "early years" demo, and a warm thanks to those of you who saved my tour in NYC a few weeks ago, when things almost came to a shattering end... I hope everything is going well for all of you. This is the Sep '09 Fox Elipsus newsletter. I am currently in Athens, Greece (the home of R.E.M.) and writing to you from a small, local Seattle-based coffee company which we invested in when Dr. Evil was cryogenically frozen. In the past week, I've had my two best shows of all time (Virginia Beach and Columbia SC), and things are going well. Tonight I play in Atlanta, then I have shows across the Deep South, Texas, and the Midwest coming up in the next month or so. Please come! COMPETITIONIf you would like to win a copy of "the early years" demo CD which less than 20 people on earth have... all you have to do is join my fun, close-knit promo team and stay for awhile! BRAND NEW MUSIC VIDEOSToday is the release of my new single from Momentum - "Killing In The Name Of Currency." Watch it here - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=fXs8mnYDe6M The song highlights the fact that peaceful people, freedom, and goodness exist all around the world, and that no nation or group are completely innocent in the global exploitation that has become our way of life. Money currently rules the world, with peace and love just catchphrases that are used to further agendas and draw people in to an ongoing economic power game, a web which we are all woven into from birth. Breaking free from the chains of the global struggle for financial supremacy, and realizing that we need to work together to achieve peace, tolerance, understanding, and relative equality, are the key components of progressivism and becoming more wise and civilized. I hope that the message of this song reaches you as strongly as the visuals and the powerful, hard-hitting and frenetic music. The video features Matt Damon and thrilling scenes from stunning locations all over the world. It was produced by a very special fan. It is a double-A side with an older, club song from the 2007 album Changing History: "See If You Can Reach Me." The videos for both of these songs are now available. Please watch, rate, and comment them! They are $10 each, and the money keeps the music alive. Unfortunately it is neccessary. I sleep in my car and play for free, and so CD sales are the only way I live. 50,000 FANSWe are currently at 31,000 and will pass Ani DiFranco today to become WNY's #3 artist on facebook (behind CIWWAF and GooGoo Dolls). I'd like to hit 50k by the time the next newsletter comes out (mid Oct) and for that, we need your help! UPCOMING SHOWSPlease come to one of my shows in your area. This is my last visit to this part of the world for at least a year. If you are in the South or Texas, take note! Every show is free! Due to a problem with ancient, unpaid tickets for the registrar of my car, NYPD were going to take my car (my home) away from me, right in front of me, if I didn't pay them close to $1,000 to cover what was owed to them by the very good friend who registered my vehicle for me. It took almost every penny I had on me, but then beginning the following day, people began sending donations of $10 and $20 and $50 and more to cover the unexpected and near-crippling expense. Amazingly, within a few days, I had received enough donations to completely cover the money they took from me, and then some. I would now like to thank those of you who were a part of this... Sandra (100), Tarra (20), Julie (100), Paul (20), Vika (50), Joanna (30), Alicia (20), Colin (20), Irene (50), Mason (10), April (20), Joshua (10), Cindy (100), Dawn and Bonnie (100), Alex (50), Emerald (100), Amber (50), Fran (40), Katherine (15), Liz (25), Melody (50), Julia (25), Victor (40), Hailey (330), Lisa (20), Ingrid (20), Megan (undisc.), Amy (30), you are the reason this tour was able to continue despite the setback. The contributions from Sandra, Julie, Cindy, Dawn/Bonnie, Emerald and Hailey in particular blew me away because they were far beyond anything I asked or hoped for. Vika, Irene, Alex, Amber and Melody too, who are students and sent 5 times what I asked for. I asked if everyone could send $10 to help me. These people went above and beyond my expectations or pleas, and saved the tour. They are as much part of this as I am... and we should all be very very grateful to these wonderful people. Not to mention the likes of Stephanie and Annette, and the same Bonnie and Irene and Sandra... and so many others... who give endless, countless hours of their time to help with my promotion, day in and day out. These people have made this music what it is. I am just the singer-songwriter. These people are the backbone. Thank you. You will all hear from me in mid-October for the October newsletter, and I hope things are wonderful for all of you until then. Thank you for keeping my music going, and now let's go for 50,000 fans. http://www.facebook.com/fo..xelipsus

Hello to everyone on our beautiful and precious planet...
I will dedicate this August newsletter to ongoing efforts to heal the
environment, and all those who are focused upon finding a way to turn
things around. Nobody knows whether there is a way to save the planet,
and our species. Nobody knows whether, if there is a way, we will find
it. But as I have said before... if we do not try, with all of our
might, then it is suicide. A species-wide mass suicide that will leave
us extinct along with hundreds of thousands of other species that were
unfortunate enough to have had to share the planet with the creature
that destroyed all of it - us.
But you never know. Maybe we can turn things around. Who are we
to say we can't? 25,000 people are reading this newsletter today and
the numbers are growing fast. Bringing meaningful messages back to
music and standing up for peace, love, and the environment, seem to be
issues that all of you can relate to and want to support. I am proud of
all of you. Keep supporting me and watch where we go.
(In order to share this message, go to http://www.facebook.com/fo..xelipsus and click "suggest to friends" then select all of them and click "send invitations" - that is how the numbers grow!)
MY LATEST MUSIC VIDEO - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=dmlucfZQyf8
My 6th single from Momentum addresses this topic. I do not really
believe that there is no hope left for humanity. If I did not believe
that it was possible for us to turn things around, I would not be doing
this. I play for free, I live in my car, and I travel all over the
world singing these songs of hope and love, and imparting messages of
peace to everyone that comes to my performances. Why? My actions speak
for themselves. I do not think it matters whether there is hope, and
there's no point in trying to pretend we know anything at all about the
future. We know nothing. But we can do everything we can. That is all
we can do. We have no way of knowing whether we can succeed. That is
almost irrelevant. We have to try, and we have to try as hard as we
possibly can. We have to come together, globally unite in order to
solve the one massive problem which over the next 50 years will come to
threaten our lives more than any other ever has. I believe in my heart
we can do it. The true question is whether we will try.
The song is called "Nothing's Gonna Change Us Now" - please watch it,
enjoy it, try not to get too depressed by it. It is a warning. Some
have described it as the death march for humanity, but it is not. It is
never too late. We are still here. And if we're going to go out, let's
go out knowing that we did everything we possibly could to undo the
damage we have done.
MUSIC VIDEO SPECIAL...
The new video is NOTHING'S GONNA CHANGE US NOW - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=dmlucfZQyf8
Please rate and comment on this video! Send it to everyone you know! It's a message that is meant for all of humanity!
This music video features some extremely depressing images, as well as
the former President-Elect of the United States, Al Gore. Nobody has
done more than he has to try and turn things around. Thank you for trying so hard, my friend.
The video features a heartbreaking graphic of a Polar Bear... I have a
song about Polar Bears (did you know it was about Polar Bears?) - "Head
For The Horizon" - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=F90-kxDROeE
- if these songs are too depressing for you, enjoy the uplifting song
about long-lost love from my youth, "When We Were Innocent" - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=bPrp_5tGzCk - or the powerful cover version with Nic Cage in the video, "Feel" - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=Y8mJ6l3bBes - then there is the infamous cat-rap performed live, "Anderson Brown" - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=QrQGxSdVnVE
- and my most popular song, the stirring and upbeat song about how you
can never go home once you leave for long enough - "Way Back Home" - http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=3MOxzIRt7DY ... and you can see all of my videos at http://www.youtube.com/fox..elipsus
All of these songs are on my CDs. If you like my music, please remember that I live in my car and my CD sales are 100% of my income. They are incredibly cheap. Just $10 for each of my 2 double albums "Changing History" and "Momentum". Pick them up with PayPal or a card at http://www.elipsus.net or http://www.myspace.com/fox..elipsus
- or if you want to order one and pay by mail (cash/check/money order),
just send an email to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM with your shipping address, and
which CD you want :)

WHAT HAPPENED LAST WEEKEND...
Annette L, Cindy S, Irene H, and another very special friend (you know
who you are) sent me generous donations over the last month or so, in
the hope that I could get a new computer to meet the needs of touring
and promotion. Jessica K has offered a wonderful alternative computer
so I don't wear out my studio PC. Hailey H meanwhile has hooked me up
with an awesome Netbook which will be fantastic for how portable it is.
These people are amazing! I cannot believe the generosity! :)
However, last weekend in Toronto, ON, while sleeping in my car (I often
have to sleep in my car when on tour), at around 5am, a boy that must
have not been more than 14 leaned into the car while I was in it, and I
awoke to him looking down at me with my new computer in his hands...
next thing I know he was running off with my brand new computer - that
I was going to be using for promo work. I tried to chase him but I
could not keep up. Hearing about this tragedy, Julie, Vika, Sandra,
Amanda and Annette started up a fund, and managed to come up with the
money for a replacement. Julia Ann was trusted with bringing it across
the border, and after a depressing loss, I had a replacement computer
within a matter of days. I just want to say how truly amazing these
people are. JULIE - VIKA - SANDRA - ANNETTE - AMANDA - YOU ARE AMAZING. THANK YOU!
Then there are people like all of the aforementioned, as well as the
amazing Bonnie and her daughter Dawn, and people like Lisa and Joanna
and Karla and Alicia and the amazing Stephy... and a host of other dear
friends, who have been spending their days and nights helping me
promote my tour and reach the people of the world with these messages
of love.
I just want to say one huge, enormous, incredible thank you to them.
You are all the reason I am able to do this. You are as much a part of
this as I am. You are as much responsible for this as me.
BE A PART OF THIS...
If any of you would like to join my ridiculously exciting promo team,
send an email to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM and we will gladly accept you in.
If any of you would like to make a donation to help support the tour
and keep me out of the car, or fed, for a night, use PayPal and send to
ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM - or e-mail me there and I will tell you how you can
help.
If any of you have some nice clothes, new or decent condition used
(comfortable shoes size 10, tight fit jeans size 32waist 30leg, nice
tight fitting medium t-shirts with a message of peace, love,
environmentalism, etc, or dress shirts (especially white) size medium,
that you would be willing to send to me, please email ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM
And if you love my music, and don't have both CDs yet, you can still get both double albums for just $10 each at http://www.elipsus.net or http://www.myspace.com/fox..elipsus
NEXT MONTH...
A very special new mission.
Another new music video.
Tour dates announced for the South, Texas, and the Midwest.
We can save the world. I have to believe it is true. That is why I am
doing what I am doing. I hope you will join me, and do what you can,
too. Every little bit helps.
With all my love
Fox Elipsus
PS
Q: Why did the Koala turn off the sad movie?
A: He couldn't bear it.

This is Fox Elipsus, and I hope you're all having a wonderful summer! The
tour continues in just a couple of weeks... spreading music with
meaningful messages of peace and love all over the world. This month we
have a brand new music video, an exciting competition, and a chance for
you all to be part of the magic. No, not this magic (pulls down pants).
But maybe you can be part of that too. We'll talk later.
BRAND NEW MUSIC VIDEO The latest single
from my 2009 sophomore album "Momentum" is "When We Were Innocent." (It
is not a reference to sexual innocence. I have never been innocent in
that way. Ever.) The music video was filmed in Ireland. If you like
this song, purchase Momentum at http://www.elipsus.net for only $10, or send an e-mail to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM to pay with cash/check by mail.
New music video (please rate and comment): WHEN WE WERE INNOCENT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?..v=bPrp_5tGzCk Watch all of my videos (including the vid of me and Kim Kardashian) on the Fox Elipsus YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/..foxelipsus
COMPETITIONThis competition is open to
anyone! Much like my bed! The winner will receive a very special
never-released CD entitled "the early years." The winner and runner up
will receive a copy of "Momentum." This competition is similar to a
recent competition we had. You get prizes, and you help grow our fan
base and spread messages of peace & love!
In order to enter:(1) Become friends with my personal facebook account here: http://www.facebook.com/..FoxSalehi(2) Then go to my facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/..FoxElipsus - and become a fan, if you are not already.
(3) Under the photo on that page (top left), click "suggest to
friends." Then select all your friends, and click "send invitations". (4) Finally, send me an e-mail to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM to tell me you have completed 1-3 and are entering the competition.
The full competition details are here: http://www.facebook.com/note...php?note_id=135191016054 We
will be monitoring which of the entrants get the most new fans! (we
have our methods). The counting has already begun. On Saturday August
15th at midnight, the winners will be announced. Good luck!
JOIN THE TEAMI want to send a huge,
warm, and loving thank you to everyone on my promo team. Next Monday
(2nd August) we will be offering a limited number of places on our
75-strong promo team. Most of what we do is really easy! The promo team
does lots of little and vital things behind the scenes (online stuff
only), and is essential to spreading the messages and songs of peace
& love all over the world, and keeping the tour alive. You can help
for 5 minutes a week, or several hours a day - it doesn't matter. You
are still welcome, and we need you. We also have a very fun trivia quiz
that the entire promo team comes together to enjoy, every week. If
you'd like to know more about what the promo team entails, or if you'd
like to give it a shot, just e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM
- you will need to create a free gmail address to be a part of it, but
that is all you need (in addition to love). We really want to welcome
you in, and you can leave anytime you like, if you don't enjoy it as
much as we think you will. For those who like boys: you'll get to talk
to me basically every day - almost all the people in the group have
become my good friends, and almost all my good friends (and lovers,
mwahaha) are in the group. I'd send you naked photos, but they would
only gross you out. Trust me. For those who like girls: the group has a
ratio of 8 girls to 1 boy. So you'll have a very, very good time,
regardless of your gender or orientation.
PLEASE HELPThe toughest time of all is
when I am not touring. It's just so strange to not be meeting dozens of
strange girls every day. I don't like asking for help, but as usual I
have to. Thanks to your CD purchases and donations I have been able to
keep going as a musician for 3 years now. I still need your help. If
you want to help, purchase my CDs from http://www.elipsus.net or e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM
to ask me how you can send a donation or tour contribution. Massive
thanks to Kara S. in ND for the keyboard bag and mic stand, to Victoria
L. in Chicago for the toiletries, and to Julie in Texas for everything.
I still need a laptop, some new clothes, and a full set of
tires/brakes. If anyone wants to help with these things, let me know! I
will need the laptop within 2 weeks. E-mail me if you can help.

To all of my wonderful fans and friends, This is no wedding
Sunday within the month of June. This is the June newsletter. You'll
laugh. You'll cry. You'll hear me make animal noises. :( But what it
is, is something true. Made up of these 2 words that I must say to you. DETROIT
WHAT! I just woke up in my car in Detroit. 200 free shows already this
year and lots more to come. I'm finally about to go on a six week
break. I've managed to go this entire tour without being molested by
any rabid fans. OK, that's a lie. But I've repressed it all. So let's
not go there. (changes subject) PEACE & WAR, LOVE & HATEPerhaps
we need less songs about who cheated on who, and about how much money
the pop and rock artists are making and wasting and which brands and
labels they waste it on, and more songs about the reality of our
struggles, about the war, the environment, and about the future. Thank
you for supporting my efforts to help bring the heart and soul and
message back to music, like John Lennon, and Bob Dylan, and Jimi
Hendrix, and Bob Marley, once did. We should never give up. We've
already come a long way... Now for something *completely* different. I have a brand new music video. ANDERSON BROWN: LIVE MUSIC VIDEO (meeeaowww)The
4th single from "Momentum" is called "Anderson Brown." It is a comedy
song. It's about my cat. I rap. And make animal noises. I'm not happy
about it. It's that one song that every artist has that they wish they
never wrote. It's a love-hate thing. Only without the love. It is the
most popular song at my live show. It was filmed in Vacaville, CA by
Vinne Langdon for The Vinnie Langdon Show. Please watch, rate, comment
on YouTube! Share with friends! ANDERSON BROWN (LIVE) by Fox Elipsus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrQGxSdVnVECheck out my other 8 official videos here, and please rate/comment them: http://www.youtube.com/foxelipsusSome of my other fans have made videos of my songs. By Brian Kelley. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDSIGTQgDEwIf you like my songs *please* support me and keep me off the streets and fed. The two double CDs are only $10 each at http://www.elipsus.net SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 4 AND 5We
now have 4,000 fans on facebook! Well done! The best way to spread
these messages of peace and love is with your help. It's easy. Go to
the facebook fan page. Click "become a fan" if you haven't already. And
then - most importantly, click "share" and send that link to all of
your friends. It would mean a lot to me if you would all do that for me
:) If you'd like to go one step further, I need promoters to do
lots of little tasks online, to help spread the word. If you'd like to
join my awesome and fun team of 21 promoters which we are expanding to
25, please e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM as soon as you can - if you do well
in the group, and we do get a record deal or something like that, you
will be offered a very lucrative job on our professional marketing team
at that point, as a reward for helping build our grass roots fan base.
Thank you :) THE TOUR - UPCOMING SHOWSThe tour is going
extremely well. I've played in almost every state of the USA, and half
of Canada. Yesterday was my 200th free show of the year. Thanks to
everyone who came to shows and bought CDs! The most successful shows of
the tour so far, in order, were: 1. Salt Lake City (Borders Murray). 2.
Cedar Rapids, IA and Omaha (tied). 3. Fargo, ND. 4. New York City
(Bronx Bay Plaza) and Houston (Kirby) tied. 5. Columbia, SC, Boise, ID
and Denver, CO (Stapleton in June), tied. This week's shows: Sun 21st June, 1pm - DETROIT, MI (Borders Grosse Pointe) Mon 22nd, 6.30pm - TOLEDO, OH (Borders) Tue 23rd, 7pm - COLUMBUS, OH (Barnes & Noble Easton Town Center) Wed 24th, 7pm - AKRON, OH (Borders Cuyahoga Falls) Fri 26th, 7pm - BUFFALO, NY HOMECOMING SHOW (Caz Coffee Cafe) Sat 27th, 7pm - ROCHESTER, NY (Borders Henrietta - Hylan Drive) Fri 3rd July, 7pm - BUFFALO, NY (Caz Coffee Cafe) Then
there will be a 5-6 week break, followed by free shows all over Eastern
Canada, Eastern USA, Deep South, and the Midwest & Plains. Full
tour schedule will be posted next month. FINANCIAL WORRIESWhile
CD sales have been increasing lately, the price of petrol (gas) has
also skyrocketed, which has made things difficult on this tour. If
you'd like to help out, the best way is to buy Momentum and Changing
History (my two double CDs) for $10 each. Get them online at http://www.elipsus.net or http://www.myspace.com/foxelipsus - or email ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM to order them now, and pay later by cash/check/money order through the mail. You can also make a donation - read this on facebook - http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=78332208622 - or email ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM for more details. In
case any of you can help out with any of these, here is a wish list.
When you live in your car and play for free and sell CDs so cheaply,
you need all the help you can get. My current needs are as follows: (1) a laptop for internet work. mine is about to die, I need a robust portable one for internet use only. (2) a haircut. does anyone know anyone? a decent one can be expensive. (3) some clothes. tight jeans, t-shirts, dress shirts. (4) some new cologne. I am almost out, and when you sleep in the car: you need cologne. (5) a keyboard bag that fits my casio. mine is in tatters. (6) a mic stand. mine is on its last legs. (7) car stereo. mine no longer works, so I have no music while I drive. (8) 4 new tires for my saturn. (9) new promoters! but you know that. (10) some beautiful women at my shows offering their "couches" for the night. but you know that too. E-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM if you think you can help with any of these things. That is also my e-mail address on PayPal in case any of you would like to make a donation. THANK YOUThank
you with all of my heart to Andy for the Korg, Esme for the Mac, Julie
in Buffalo for everything, Cindy and Pam for all the support, to Karla,
to Robyn for the donations, to my amazing promoters, and to all of you
who have purchased CDs and/or tipped me generously to keep this dream
alive these past two years... and most of all to the wonderful Julie
Lee in TX who has donated more than anyone else ever has, which has
left me speechless with gratitude! I love all of you and can't wait to see you again. We're going somewhere. I don't know what we're going to do when we get there. But it's going to be great. Fox

Hello, it's Fox from Oxford, England, but currently in Southern California,
I hope everyone around the world is doing well. When you were young, if you had a dream, I hope you're all still holding on to what you believe. And I look forward to the days when all of the people control our own destinies... all of us equal in a world that's peaceful.
If anyone has seen my llama please let me know where it is and when I should pick it up. In this May newsletter we have a BRAND NEW MUSIC VIDEO, and your chance to win a copy of Momentum!
THE TOUR SO FAR
The tour is going extremely well, California has been good me, the SouthWest was good to me, and the Midwest and Plains in particular treated me wonderfully well. Today's show in the San Fernando Valley was cancelled, though, because Borders double-booked Marie Osmond (from the Osmonds) for a book signing on the same date as I was supposed to play. I think this is really funny! In due time, let's hope Borders cancels Osmond book signings in order to have me play! This story and many more hilarious tales will be revealed in the tour journal, which will be coming your way soon. Look out for instalments in future newsletters.
Please keep coming to my free shows and please keep purchasing my CDs and making donations because that is what keeps me alive and on the road. All the tour dates are listed on all of my websites. New dates are added each week. The new double album Momentum is only $10 and if you are not one of the thousands who have already purchased it, you're missing out... http://www.elipsus.net or http://www.myspace.com/foxelipsus to buy with a credit or debit. Or email ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM to get it through the mail.
BRAND NEW MUSIC VIDEO
I have a brand new music video. It was produced by that same mystery superfan somewhere in the tropics of Mexico. It features Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan, and is my first ever single release that is a cover version. It is called "Feel" and is taken from the "Momentum" double CD. Please rate it and leave a comment, and then send it to all your friends... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8mJ6l3bBes
You can also check out the videos for the other singles from Momentum: HEAD FOR THE HORIZON - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F90-kxDROeE UNREQUITED - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOfMnRC0Tho FEEL - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8mJ6l3bBes
STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE
I know we all are right now. If you have any spare money and believe in my messages of peace and love, and want to help support the tour, please remember I often sleep in my car and it is not easy to keep going in this way. A little or large donation is extremely helpful, as are any CD sales. Please e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM to ask how to donate, or send something by PayPal using ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM as the destination address. Thank you to the wonderful fan in Houston, Texas who sent me a fantastic donation for my birthday!
On this tour, I have already sold thousands of CDs. A lot of you have taken advantage of the "if you don't have cash on you, or can't afford it, take one free and pay later" offer. However, only 50% of those of you who took CDs for free have paid. Could the other 50% (that's several hundred of you!) please e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM and let me know if or when you can send me the $10. Please remember I sleep in my car and it is a real struggle, so the sooner you can send it, the better.
THE MOMENTUM OF THE 2009 TOUR
We have sailed past 3,000 fans on facebook and are heading for 4,000, making Fox Elipsus the 4th most popular artist in the Buffalo-Niagara region on facebook (behind Ani DiFranco at 3, Brian McKnight, and the GooGoo Dolls in 1st place). Please sign in to facebook (or create an account) and go and "become a fan" if you are not already one. Then send this page as a link to all your http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fox-Elipsus/10102302541
Please keep checking http://www.elipsus.net to see when I am in your town. I would love to see you at one of my free shows, and I really need your support! The shows are comical and powerful and entertaining, and sometimes very few people come... so bring as many people as you can, and help make the show in your local area a success :)
WIN A COPY OF MOMENTUM
To enter: Write to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM and tell Fox which is your favourite Fox Elipsus song and why. Be as descriptive as you can. You can write one sentence, or one paragraph, or a long essay. It doesn't matter. You can enter as many times as you like, writing about a different song each time. There is no limit to entries. The ten best entries will be entered into a draw, and the one that is chosen will receive a free limited edition copy of Momentum. All entries must be received by May 31st 2009.
PROMOTION
I need your help promoting. Please email ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM if you have any spare time. Promoting is very easy and helps massively!
I hope to see you all very soon! Just as soon as I find my llama...

PPS friends to help them discover me! LINK: A fish tank!
PPPS We may disagree on whether that is funny or not (it makes me pee my pants), but we can all agree on one thing. We all have one thing in common. We don't wanna fight, and we don't wanna kill, and we don't wanna die, but we do wanna heal our world. I know it may be no use, but if that's our excuse and if we don't try... then it's suicide, and our children and their children and their children will never understand why.

HELP FOX REACH THE WORLD: PROMOTERS NEEDED
Fox: "I have five very special promoters that have helped me get from being not well known at all, to being fairly well known in a not-that-well-known sort of way. Now the time has come to add to this small circle of loyal insiders. If you have a little spare time, and would like to help, please contact me by sending me a private e-mail to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM - and I will tell you how you can help. You can devote as little or as much time as you like to helping me. If it works out well, then those that help me now, for free, will someday be offered lucrative jobs within the Fox Elipsus organization, earning very good salaries. We will hope that day will come soon. Please do not be shy. I really, really need your help, and some of the tasks are not very difficult, and only require internet access and no experience."
DONATIONS NEEDED
"If you have a little spare money but no time, then I'll be honest and let you know that even with CD sales increasing, I'm still barely breaking even. I still spend most of my nights on tour either sleeping in the car, or on fan's couches. The best way to help me is to buy both of my CDs from http://www.elipsus.netor http://www.myspace.com/foxelipsus- but if you would like to do that little bit more, and help me by making a small donation of your choice, it would be truly, completely appreciated. Please e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM and I will tell you how."
THANK YOU
"I want to thank everyone that has made an effort to come to my live shows so far this year, everyone who has purchased my new CD "Momentum", and everyone who has given me a spare room or a couch to sleep on. The fan support is the only reason I am still able to sing and make music for you all, and try to keep spreading my messages of peace..."

Russ in Connecticut is the winner of the "Head For The Horizon" competition. His guess was the closest to the actual subject matter of the song which you can now see on YouTube. Amanda in New York is the winner of the Myspace competition. Both have received a free signed copy of Momentum!
