Thu 25 Feb - U.K., Newcastle - Newcastle Academy
Sun 28 Feb - Ireland, Dublin - Olympia

Fan presale links for tickets will be made available on Wednesday, November 25, general public ticket sales begin on Friday, November 27th.

"The Black Procession" will cap off what has been an incredible 3 year journey for Machine Head in support of their highly acclaimed, Grammy nominated album "The Blackening". Machine Head drummer Dave McClain states "It’s going to be awesome to get out there and rock a full set, to mix it up night after night, and be able to do things 100% our way! It’s really just dawning on us that after almost 3 years of touring on "The Blackening" that "The Black Procession" will be the final tour of this cycle… but instead of being in wind-down mode, we’re super excited to get out there and crush it! Our fans have been asking for a full-fledged Machine Head tour and we are ready to bring it!"

Singer/Guitarist Robb Flynn adds "It’s been an amazing album cycle and we are thankful for the relentless support we have from our fans. We are all well aware of the fact that the touring market around the world is in a tough spot due to economic conditions, and it’s great and humbling to be able to actually add dates to this tour in spite of that fact. We can't wait to see all you crazy fuckers!"

Machine Head will be closing out 2009 with the rest of their U.S. support dates with Megadeth, leading into a string of western U.S. support dates with Metallica, culminating in a hometown show featuring both of the Bay Area metal titans on December 12 in San Jose, CA.

As a result of Slayer's announcement regarding the postponement of upcoming Canadian Carnage dates, Machine Head have been forced to reschedule their only United States headlining show at The Crazy Donkey in Long Island, NY to Thursday, November 12th.  Machine Head will then join up with Megadeth as planned on November 14th in Grand Rapids, MI through December 3rd in Oklahoma City OK.  Immediately afterward, Machine Head will join up with Metallica in Las Vegas on December 5th for the west coast leg of their tour, ending with a triumphant hometown show for both bands at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.

Hey hey hey...

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. After 2 1/2 years of touring we're (finally) 2 months into a 3 month break, and let me tell you, it's been awesome!!! I've been out camping / wakeboarding a TON, Adam is taking flying lessons and just did his first brief solo flight, Dave's hanging in Alameda enjoying his new Yamaha drum kit (amazing!) and was hanging in L.A. with the Korn dudes and his long time buddy Ross Robinson, and Phil was most recently Best Man at his best friend Shack's wedding. We've also found time to hop into Trident Studios with Juan Urteaga and record a Pantera tune for a b-side. We're doing FUCKING HOSTILE!!! Dave is done with drums (nailed it on the 2nd take!), and I finished guitars yesterday and got vocals in the bag. Phil comes in tomorrow, then Adam, then it'll be mixed and mastered by the end of the week. Mike Sloat has been documenting, so we'll probably have video snippets up when the whole thing gets closer to release.

We also just announced our sole U.S. headline date on Nov 6th in NY, so FUCKIN' A!!! Come make a road trip to N.Y. for some raging metal!!!

Fresh off of main support dates with Metallica and a hugely successful run of major European festivals, Bay Area titans Machine Head announce a very special headline show at The Crazy Donkey in New York, in preparation for their run of Canadian Carnage dates with Slayer and Megadeth. Machine Head plan on doing a full headlining set with production and a unique set list that promises to cover their impressive and controversial 15 year career.

In the wake of their Grammy-nominated album The Blackening, Machine Head faced harsh penalties for their lyrics, and shockingly, were banned from several Disney-owned clubs for what Disney concert promoters deemed "negative imagery," "inflammatory lyrics" and "undesirable fans."

Machine Head stood their ground, however, and went on to headline the Jagermeister stage on the Mayhem Festival, and just returned from a triumphant headlining spot atop this years (20th Anniversary) Wacken Festival in Germany to 85,000 people. Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel had this to say, "Looking forward to kicking off The Blackening's final U.S. run with a headlining show on Long Island! This will be the only headliner on U.S. soil 'til the next record, so I'm sure we'll be breaking out some deep cuts and some tunes that've been barely played live. See you all out there!" Added singer Robb Flynn, "We really felt like doing something special for the U.S. fans to get ready for the Canadian Carnage dates. What better place to do it than with our maniacal fanbase in New York!!!"

Machine Head will play their sole U.S. headline Show on Friday, November 6th at Club Loaded At The Crazy Donkey in New York. Support comes from Stillborn recording artist Thy Will Be Done, Ferret recording artist This Or The Apocalypse, Roadrunner Records recording artist Mutiny Within and more. For more detailed information, go to the promoters' website at ClubLoaded.com.
