... didn't happen. Well, Perfect Souvenir didn't play at least. I was food poisoned. I hear it was a great show. Thanks to Tiger and the Snow for the invite, though.
Brian (PS drummer) is in the midst of completing a recording with his other project, Memories from the Space Age. You should check it out when it's released.

Played solo. It was fine. More Humans from Arlington were awesome.
I played:
1. 4905 Now is the time 2. Other rooms [new song] 3. Dive & climb 4. Your process 5. Fall again 6. Chutes & ladders [new song]
I was going to play a third new song, but then decided against it.
We do a sort of masterclass at Georgetown next.

We got the masters back from the nice men at Silver Sonya. We'd like for you to hear this EP. Thus, we have to find a label... any tips?
Vin!

Thanks to Third Rail -- Lilly, Nestor, Julia, and everyone else who helped -- for a great show experience. These people are on the ball.
We played: 1. Pale lips, short breath 2. Dive & climb 3. Scratch your name in the sky 4. Forget to forget 5. 1981 (maybe I made a mistake by writing) 6. Fall again 7. Your process
Thanks for listening if you did. I think it might be archived on their site (www.wmuc.umd.edu). Someone filmed it and said they'd post clips on YouTube.
Now on to finishing the EP.
best, Vin!

Fort Reno is always awesome to play when the weather is nice. This is the second year in a row that we've been blessed with a great night. Also, many friends and family came out, which is wonderful, too. The Andalusians were terrific.
We played: 1. Counting breaths 2. Your process 3. Forget to forget 4. Scratch your name in the sky 5. Pal lips, short breath 6. Dive & climb 7. Fall again
Thanks, as always, goes to Amanda and the Northwest Youth Alliance for keeping this festival going. They're all volunteers. You can donate to support Fort Reno at www.fortreno.com. This will ensure that the festival happens next year.
On Sunday (7/6), we are playing the Third Rail radio show at 6:00pm. Listen online at www.wmuc.umd.edu. They archive their shows. We're going to focus on songs that we do not have demos or recordings for; so, that means lots of newer stuff. Hope you can check it out.
best, Vin!

Excellent show at the Black Cat last night. Dianogah were very great. Everyone at the Black Cat was awesome. Good turnout. We played well. Nothing bombed this time -- though, my banter was pretty unfocused and more pointless than usual...
The set looked something like this:
1. Your process 2. Counting breaths 3. Scratch your name in the sky [brand new] 4. Fall again 5. Forget to forget 6. Dive & climb [a reworked older song we haven't played since 01/07 in NY] 7. Watching the draws, parts 7 & 13
Next Thursday (7/3/08), we're at Fort Reno. If you were there last night, thanks for coming.

What better way to usher in the weekend of memorializing than a Perfect Souvenir séance? We had a good show at The Red & The Black in NE DC last night. Excellent turnout, the club staff were fantastic, no technical problems… Memories from the Space Age invited us to play with them on this, their debut show. Brian drums for them as well. They were outstanding. Very exciting post-rock. Ballsy. Mean. And then there was us. We sensitively played: - 519 [brand new, sort of bombed -- needs work]
- Watching the draws, parts 7 & 13
- Complete
- 4905 now is the time
- Forget to forget
- Fall again
Sadly we played without Aaron, whose presence was required elsewhere. Mike and I did our best to cover the bass lines and it worked out pretty damn well – praise be to Zeus. So, next up is a show at the Black Cat in a month. Hope to see you there. Oh yeah, we're still mixing the EP -- it's going to be thre greatest thing ever by the time we're finished noodling with it. Happy Memorial Day. Vin!

Very good show last night at the Velvet Lounge in DC. And Me were very entertaining and I sadly had to bolt to relieve a sitter before Fox Japan played a note of music. They were friendly guys, though, and it’s thanks to them that we were even on the show. Good turnout. Some old friends.
We played:
1. Complete 2. Your process 3. Counting breaths 4. Fall again 5. Pale lips 6. Forget to forget 7. The nine wrongs years prior
Now we focusing on mixing the EP. Then mastering and artwork and distribution and then endless months of touring in support…
best, Vin!
