Los Angeles, CA--December 5th, 2009--Las Vegas was the site of the TUF 10 Finale, where Houston Alexander and Kimbo Slice fought in a catchweight bout of 195 lbs.

Slice won the unanimous decision, using some take downs and hard strikes while Alexander utilized his game plan of kicking the left knee of Slice.  The first round was nothing more than a dance, Alexander circling the edge of the cage, while Slice merely stayed in the center of the cage, waiting to catch Alexander.

The second round, the fighters finally made contact, throwing some hard strikes.  Slice managed to show some of what he's learned while training in Florida, by taking Alexander down, and working some hard Ground and Pound.  This round was all Slice.

The third and final round, both fighters were markedly running out of gas, but still had their moments, Slice attacking just like the first two rounds, coming toward Alexander, until close enough to throw strikes and when the bell sounded, both fighters bent forward and placed their hands on their knees.  Slice showed the world he finally made it as a MMA fighter.  ALexander already proved himself in earlier fights.

The finale pitted Roy "Big Country" Nelson against Brendan "The Hibrid" Schaub.  As figured, Nelson knocked out Schaub in the first round.  Nelson's physique is not anything that would resemble a fighter, but looks care deceiving, because this guy is agile, in shape and can fight.  Nelson was once the Heavyweight Champ in the now defunct
IFL (International Fight League).

                                                             Nelson KO's Schaub
Matt Hamill won by decision in his bout against Jon Jones on a disqualification, because as Jones sat mounted, throwing down viscious fists and elbows, he decided to start throwing elbows straight down from a 12 to 6 direction, and that is illegal.

Jones and announcers first thought Jones won, but because of the illegal strikes, Jones was disqualified.  Hamill injured his left shoulder during the bout.  Hamill may not have known he won the fight until in his locker room, because he is deaf and may not have been told of the decision until then.

Los Angeles, CA--November 20th, 2009--
Kansas City, Kansas
had Kerry Vera winning the battle of the female MMA fighters over Kim Couture.  Vera's precision striking landed on Couture's chin so many times, that toward the end of the 1st round, Couture finally wilted to the mass amounts of fists.

Vera showed why Brandon stays in line, because she can fight!  Couture is a very good fighter, but she leaves her head up and forgets to bob and weave, leaving an unopposing target, in which Vera took full advantage of.  Unfortunately, the fight did not last through the end of the 1st round, but it was long enough for the audience to see the skills of both women.

Brandon was one happy camper, since his recent loss to Randy Couture, validating his hold in MMA.

In the Main Event, Tyron Woodley submitted Rudy Bears in the 1st round, by arm triangle.  Woodley is no joke, and no longer the big secret.  Since coming on the scene a few months ago, we've learned much about this fighter.  He fights out of Coconut Creek, Florida  and is one fighter who is well versed and should be in line or a title fight very soon.  He could probably handle it.  Jake Shields is the current Champ in this weight category.

Los Angeles, CA--November 18th, 2009--
Las Vegas
, site of the Aldo/Brown fight.  Funny thing about fights, I know my fighters.  That much I can say.  Jose Aldo may not have taken Mike Brown out in the first round, like I predicted (I first thought it would be the 2nd, but changed it later to the 1st).  Instead, he beat the dog out of Brown at the start of the 2nd round.  He pounded this ex-champ for what seemed like an eternity to Brown, until the referee finally stopped the massacre.

Aldo was doing so good from start to finish that I know Brown must have known he was in big trouble.  Deep Sh*t!!  Brown had so many holes in his game, that there was no way Aldo could have lost.  Recall the Brown/Faber II fight?  Brown could not take out a one armed fighter, because Faber had lost use of his right hand in the first round of their fight.  It took all five rounds for Brown to get the decision.

I'm sure Aldo saw this.  Getting back to this fight; Aldo showed his superior strength and skill level throughout the short-lived fight.  To avoid the striking and precision kicks from Aldo, Brown attempted many take downs, to no success, until Aldo chose to end the fight.  He pounded Brown down until he was straddling Brown's back, punching away like a sledge hammer coming down on a block head (get the pun).  This was one very exciting fight, even if it was so one sided.

November 14th, 2009--Las Vegas, NV--Randy Couture won the bout between he and Brandon Vera in three rounds, by decision.  Vera seemed disturbed by the outcome, because he immediately stormed off and brooded along the outside of the Octagon, instead of congratulating Couture.  Evidently the judges and fans believed Couture had won the fight between the two light heavyweights.

Both had fought heavy weight many times between them.  Couture stated after the decision was read that he prefers to stick around in the light heavies for the time being, because of the new talent coming in and the idea of having to be under some of the behemoths while sitting on his chest.  He claimed it was not a very comforting situation while having someone (let's say) Lesnar's size straddling him.

In other bouts, one thing for certain, the Brits do not pull punches.  Lightweight Ross Pearson was so sharp in his outstanding boxing skills, that he literally picked apart Aaron Riley until a nasty cut on Riley's head had caused a stoppage in the bout, the referee declaring Pearson the victor.  Pearson kept a constant pressure on Riley throughout the fight, landing many strikes, kicks and everything else one could think of and having great success in doing so.

James Wilkes had lost his bout by TKO when TUF contestant Matt Brown managed to do a little Ground and Pound, until the referee stopped the fight by TKO.  What turned the fight in Brown's favor was a nasty little Flying Knee to the left jaw of Wilkes, dropping him to his back, never really recovering.  Meanwhile, Brown managed to keep after him with a constant pressure until he eventually ended up on top of Wilkes, laying on some nasty strikes to his head, until the referee pulled him off.

Michael Bisping had his hands full in Denis Kang.  In the first round, Kang landed a strike to the jaw of Bisping, dropping him to his back. Kang then jumped on top of Bisping, trying GnP and submissions, but Bisping was not having any of that.  Bisping's ground game improved so much, or we just finally got to see him in action while on his back, because he managed to attempt several arm bars, and continuously moved Kang back to guard, each time Kang attempted to gain an upper hand, climbing further on top of Bisping.  But as mentioned, Bisping never did find himself in any danger, because of his fantastic jiu jitsu skills.

Bisping is an angry fighter, and embarrassed because of the last fight, in which Dan Henderson knocked him out.  He stated he felt disrespected and embarrassed by the KO and wanted to redeem himself in his fight against Kang.

Kang managed to stay on top of Bisping throughout the entire first round, but when the second round began, Bisping turned it on; taking Kang to the mat, working out his past frustration on Kang's head, until the referee finally saw enough, stopping the one sided a** whoopin' layed out by Bisping, giving him his honor back.  This fight was a special one for all who know Bisping or who is one of his fans.  He showed he is still The Michael Bisping of old, only a newer more polished well rounded version.

After the final decision was declared by the announcer, Bisping and son put on a little demonstration, showing the fans the youth's high kick, and arm bar all on Bisping.  It was quite entertaining.

Perhaps the nastiest knock out of the night was Andre Winner's devastating KO of Roli Delgado.  Not only was Winner's hands super fast, but when he lands, he lands and when he lands, they land on the mat.  Delgado was out before he hit the mat.  Winner's hand speed was so quick, it appeared to be a blur until the opponent's body and head bounced from the jolt on the canvas.  Well, maybe not that fast, but Delgado had absolutely no answer for it.  Winner hit Delgado early in the first, showing all of the fans his power and what was about to come up.  Winner better get KO of the Night honors.

Los Angeles, CA--November 8th, 2009--Mike Brown will not pull this one out.  His rematch with Urijah Faber should have shown the many holes in his game.  I saw them.  He was unable to finish a fighter who had lost the use of one hand and very limited with the other one.  Faber went the distance with Brown, even though he only had the left hand, after breaking his right on Brown's head in the first.  So, how can anyone actually believe Brown can beat someone of Jose Aldo's caliber?  He can't even take out someone who has only one hand to work with.  Aldo will not break his hand on Brown's head.  That was a fluke accident in Brown's favor, but will not happen again.  Recall lightning strikes.  I say Aldo will win in devastating fashion in the second round.  I do not see Brown lasting very long, not after the punishment Aldo is planning to lay out.

Ground N Pound in the 2nd!!

Los Angeles--November 7th, 2009--
Chicago
and CBS introduced Brett Rogers to Fedor while appearing on Strikeforce. Rogers put up a good showing throughout the first round, but Fedor cracked Rogers with one of his famous Rights that dropped Rogers like a sack of potatoes in the second round of a three-round heavyweight bout. After hitting the canvas, Fedor cracked Rogers a couple more times, until referee Big John McCarthy stopped the fight.

Rogers very first strike (a jab) of the fight cut open a one inch diagonal slash on the bridge of Fedor's nose, causing quite a bit of bleeding. Some of Rogers' cornermen thought his nose was broken, but it appeared the cut might have come from Roger's finger nails, and not a strike. It is pretty hard to cut an opponent like that by strikes, especially where it was located. Never the less, it was bound to add confidence to Rogers.

Fedor wins by TKO, but Rogers has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, although he did lose. He showed the world who Brett Rogers is and also showed MMA fans just how good he actually is. Not every body can go up against Fedor and last into the second round.

In the Middleweight Title Fight, Jake Shields defeated Jason Mayhem Miller in the 5 round co-main event by majority decision. Actually it was unanimous, but one judge had the fight much closer then the other two. This appears to be the first time Shields literally had his hands full. If the fight would have remained standing, Miller would have won handily, but Shields knew from the action that it was most likely the best move to take his opponent down and win on points. Miller had Shields in a rear naked choke at the end of the second round, and the only thing that prevented Shields from passing out or tapping out was the bell sounding, thus allowing Shields to escape defeat.

Fabricio Werdum won his 3 round battle against Big Foot Silva, although he lost the first round and it appeared he might just be in for a long night. The next two rounds had Werdum taking down Silva numerous times and using many strikes to gain points on the outcome of the fight. Werdum won by unanimous decision.

Location: Las

Venue: MGM Grand Garden Arena

Broadcast: Pay-per-view

This line up should be quite a fight card.  Two Title fights, a few ex-title holders and many higher tier fighters.

* Champ Brock Lesnar vs. Shane
   Carwin (for heavyweight title)*
This fight was postponed due to an illness suffered by Lesnar.

* Champ Anderson Silva vs. Vitor
   Belfort (for middleweight title)*
Henderson
wanted this bout with Anderson, and although some would have wanted to see Marquardt fight once more for Silva's title, Belfort was the logical choice after dismantling Franklin.

* Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva*
Rampage Jackson
was signed to fight Evans, but due to some internal infighting, Jackson pulled out, paving the way for Silva.

* Junior Dos Santos vs. Gabriel
   Gonzaga*

* Carlos
Condit vs. Paul Daley*
This fight should be challenging for Fight of the Night!  Condit was WEC's Welterweight Champ.

* Martin Kampmann vs. Rory
   Markham*

* Tyson Griffin vs. Jim Miller*

* Ryan Jensen vs. Mark Munoz*

* Dan Lauzon vs. Cole Miller*

* Joe Lauzon vs.
Sam Stout*

* Jake Ellenberger vs. Mike Pyle*

zazzle, THE COMPANY THAT WILL PUBLISH AND SELL OUR WORKS FOR 80-90% OF THE PIE, WILL NO LONGER BE A PART OF MY WEBSITES.  THEIR STRATEGIES ARE SUBPAR AND ARE UNABLE TO PROMOTE THE WORK OF THEIR ASSOCIATES WORTH BEANS.  SO, INSTEAD OF CONTINUING THE CONDUCTING OF BUSINESS WITH THEM, I HAVE CHOSEN TO REMOVE MY PRODUCT LINE FROM THEIR WEBSITE AND I AM IN THE PROCESS OF REMOVING THEIR STORE FROM MY WEBSITES AS WELL.

I WILL CONTINUE TO SELL MY MERCHANDICE THROUGH MY WEBSITE AT A LOWER COST THEN WHAT YOU WOULD GET FROM ZAZZLE.  BESIDES, IN MY OPINION, THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE QUESTIONABLE AT LEAST.  SO, TO PREVENT ANY UNNECESSARY ISSUES FROM THE PUBLIC, I HAVE CHOSEN TO DISTANCE MYSELF FROM THAT COMPANY.  THANK YOU,

Los Angeles, CA--October 18, 2009--
Dan Henderson
, 185 and 205 contender, was in line for a new fight contract with the UFC, but both sides were unable to come to a happy median. Henderson, apparently wants more money than the UFC is willing to cough up.

Henderson thinks he deserves more than the amount the UFC offered during the negotiations, which recently broke down, forcing Henderson to look elsewhere for his keep. Dana White claims no feelings were damaged during the stalemate.

HX: Henderson barely beat Rich Franklin and Vitor Belfort knocked out Franklin. Reason for Henderson wanting more money is he wanted another shot at Anderson Silva's title. White has chosen to give Belfort the opportunity to fight for Silva's belt, instead. Silva's group do not want another fight with Henderson, claiming he does not deserve one at this time, which is understandable.

If Henderson ends up on Scott Coker's payroll, this could bring more fan base to Strikeforce, and with this in mind, it would behoove Coker to sign Henderson as soon as possible. Coker hasn't commented on this recent development as of yet.

After Belfort and Silva meet up in the Octagon, the winner might be fighting Nate Marquardt next. Although Marquardt lost to Silva as well, his chances of success should be much better than Henderson's. The idea was for Henderson to fight Marquardt, then the victor fight for the Belt, but this never panned out, either. Possible match up between Belfort and Silva should be in the coming year.
