It's been a year and bit and we have pounded you with some of the best that Terror Industrial music has to offer, with a unique and fun atmosphere. Doing this once a month has admittedly taken its toll on all of us involved and it seemed right to take a break and regroup to see where we are at. Some of us have different agendas at the moment and unfortunately SEKT was getting in the way of our day to day lives and family.
We thank each and every one of you who came along at least once to our club, and the words of encouragement from all of you has been one of our driving forces behind SEKT continuing for as long as it has. Thank you to DJ Brother Pierce for providing us with your awesome DJ skills, Peter on the door for being a great welcoming face, Peter on the bar for your words of wisdom and all of the guest DJs we have had along the way Jay, Kama, Kosta, Raramatic, Thomas Bear, StaticPulse, Tenebrous, Jan, The Cybernoize crew, and Jarod. A special thank you goes to Orea and Tony at Insignia for your ongoing support, you are the best venue owners in Melbourne and maybe even the whole of Australia.
With that said we will be getting together again in 2008 to see how we feel about doing it again and if so how we can improve things from what we have learned over the past year. So stay tuned as it is a possibility that we will be returning bigger and better in 2008.

This month we have 20 in season double passes to Resident Evil : Extinction courtesy of Sony Pictures.

Also DJ Statik Pulse brings his sheep shearing expertise to the decks from NZ. Hopefully he won't be giving everyone a case of foot and mouth but rather inducing seizures on the dance floor from infectious hard beats.

Cocktail specials will be announced as soon as Andy coughs it up into a glass. In the meantime go and check out the SEKT MySpace for more information.

Oh and thanks for an awesome night last time. Hopefully we can do it again on the 13th of October.

Further to having Cybernoize downstairs we will have Kosta from Golgotha DJing for the first time since SEKT : BIRTH. Also if you have a birthday that lies between the 12th of August and the 12th of October you will get in for only $6 and receive a free drink upon entry. Hopefully this will help make this a birthday to remember or not to remember if things go well. Make sure you bring ID to proove that it really is your birthday.

About 1 year ago we started this evil thing with a little ditty called SEKT : BIRTH and now it appropriately has grown into the hideous monstrosity that it is today.

On the 8th of September we will be celebrating one year of SEKT with two floors open. Upstairs we will have SEKT : THIR13EN and downstairs Cybernoize will be crunching it up for your aural pleasure.

We will also have a cocktail special for this one and also a special entry deal for people who are celebrating their birthdays late August, September and early October. More on this soon.

Nix, Gary and myself would like to thank everyone for supporting us over the past year. We would also like to send a BIG thank you to Paul, Orea and Tony, Sim, Andy (for your awesome cocktails), and Jarod (for supplying us with the music). This could never have happened without your help.

On a personal note I am also going to say a special thanks to Aowyne (who incidentally has never attended a SEKT) for giving me the idea of going it on my own. Also I'd like to thank Michelle for supporting SEKT right from the beginning even though she isn't really into the music.

In September we will be celebrating our first birthday. Yes it's been a year already! We will have two floors running for this one so come along and help us celebrate a year of terrible fun. In August there will be blood spilled on the dance floor with Kama bringing some hard bitch back to the decks. She totally killed it last time around and we are very happy to have her back again. As usual we will have prizes for the the most fucked up looking outfits and cocktails bordering on the side of poisons.

The poison for this month will be "The Ripper"!
Ingredients-
Bacardi
Sour Apple Schnapps
Monin Mures (Blackberry)
Apple Juice
Ginger Beer

All this in a glass for $6! Killer stuff indeed.

We will also have DVD give aways for people who make an effort.

Yes we are celebrating the release of the Transformers movie (It's so awesome) so come dressed in you best Transformers gear and jump around to some kicking industrial beats and get trashed on our infamous cocktails.

The guest DJ will be Raramatic who played an awesome set at Hazard last year, so surely he will be cranking out some hard industrial to get your humanoid asses dancing.

Insignia upstairs will be dressed up by Lixa Brandt from Futurelic ( Futrelic web site link ). She will be lending us some quite elaborate and expensive works to give the place a bio-mechanical look and feel like no other. It should look fantastic alongside Nix's freaky stuff.

The cocktail will be a Hydraulic Fluid which will be $5 all night. The ingredients of a Hydraulic Fluid are as follows-
Rum
Lychee
Lemon Juice
Cranberry Juice
Grenadine
Sugar Syrup

mmm Yum!
