Yeh, you heard right, We're all still alive unlike many of our friends (even if just by the skin of our teeth) so we decided to give it another shot. We'll be playing some gigs this year. You can find these listed in the gigs section on the Diodes page, but a little explanation never hurts so here's the game plan so far.
First up is The International Pop Overthrow festival in Liverpool.

The line-up for Liverpool will be:
Founding members: Paul Robinson Vocals, John Catto Guitar and Ian Mackay bass. The drum chair for the Liverpool dates will be ably filled by Rick Zsigmond who played drums in High Noon our post Diodes band in the UK
The dates are May 24th at the Cavern Club (11:15pm)
and May 25th at Lennon's (5:45pm) These are both Bongobeat records showcase events and we will playing on a unmissable Canadian lineup (see poster below) so come early.

From Liverpool we go on to Toronto, Canada to The NXNE (North By North East) festival, where we are joined by the original Diodes drummer John Hamilton making this The FULL 1977 first album line-up.

The first gig is on Friday June 8th when we have a live performance/interview at CIUT Radio Toronto. This will be broadcast and also videotaped for an upcoming movie on Canadian Punk.
Saturday afternoon June 9th we are playing a large open-air festival event at Dundas Square in central Toronto. The bill is still being finalized but expect a number of big names. Latest info. C'mon featuring Ian Blurton of "Change Of Heart" and Katie Lynn Campbell ex "Nashville Pussy" and "Famous Monsters" (with Sean Yseult how cool) are on the bill.
Saturday night June 9th we are doing a concert at Sneaky Dee's. So far the lineup also includes Crash Kelly (TO), The Vibrants (UK) and other acts TBO.
Expect this to be a whole load of fun. At this point there may be other last minute or "secret" gigs in the time period so watch this and the Diodes Myspace page for more info.
Hope to see you all soon
Viva le Rock!!!
John Catto
