Donkeys are up and running and having a great time thanks to our fans and friends who've came out and said hi! Phoenix wouldn't have been the same without meeting our new bros Chris, Chris and Cameron who hosted what Jessie called one of his "top five campfires of all time!" -Awesome! Andrew and Tye hooked us up fat with hangover hamburgers topped with fried eggs and coffee for breakfast at the Welcome Cafe.  The ultimate meal after a show at the Trunkspace and having a rip roaring night next door at our favorite Phoenix bar, the Bikini! Totally Tiki!

And speaking of Tiki, Burt's Tiki Lounge in Albuqurque, NM, is worth the drive just for the Volcano cocktail (served for two or more only). Make sure you also stop at Mecca Records and dig through those records! Your trip wouldn't be complete without a footlong chili dog or two at the Dog House, the Donkeys favorite hot dog yet--SWEET! Our trip to Albuqurque wouldn't have been nearly as sweet without meeting our newest friends and fans, Ken & Pattie, and Ruth & Henry and Henry JR, the coolest mechanic in NM. Thanks for the 50 dollar waters and Miller lites. Ken, you're our man!!

All right, After two long years of hard work we are finally ready to release our new record. It took a while to record but songs this good are worth the wait. Shameless promotion or not I'm pretty excited. The album will be out late August I believe on Dead Oceans and we will be hittin' the road pretty hard in support of it. So look out for the donkey van heading to a town near you. We put a new song up if you haven't already noticed. I guess it is considered the first single of the new album. Let us know what you think. There will be more to come soon.

The May issue of Spin talks about us when talking about San Diego music. Nice!

About a week ago the new daytrotter sessions were posted on www.daytrotter.com. The songs boot on a seat, black cat, and downtown jenny were recorded. We also still have our seven inch record available. We are just about to finish mixing our album too. we are all really excited about it.

We are almost done with our U.S.tour. It has been amazing. We have a new split 7" with our buddy Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. You can pick one up at a show or at antennafarmrecords.com. We also did some recording for Daytrotter which should be up soon. We are all missing San Diego and will be home soon.
