On July 9 the Screwed are joined by Gord Lewis to play a some of songs by Teenage Head also to be joined by Dave Bingham lead singer and writer of the UglyDucklings to do songs from their Somewhere Outside recorded in the mid '60's.  This for me is special. I saw the band first at my Etobicoke high school in '66 and that is when i knew i wanted to be in a band.

Noted as "aging Queen St. hipsters" that refuse to grow up, the Screwed are sited along with the Dakota Tavern as GOOD NEWS for 2007.
Also I was happy to see that Pete Genest got mentioned as well for his fab new store punk rock record store Hits and Misses. Pete is selling our CDs at his store that stocks mostly vinyl. All my new favorite records are 7 inch vinyl that the happening newest wave of punk rock bands are putting out.

When we touring with Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys last spring we went into Grant Av. Studio in Hamilton and recorded a new song of Cheetah's which he is still working on. It's called Bury You Alive and the song is sung to George Bush. We however have put a version of Sonic Reducer up on our myspace that we did with him. It's pretty cool for me to hear his distinctive voice and guitar work with us on the punk standard that he co wrote. Have a listen. I've kept in touch and we are hoping he'll be back up here before too long.
We have recently added the Advert's Gary Gilmour's Eyes to our repertoire. We now have over 50 songs.
