Current mood:  accomplished
Summer is here, and it is hot as hell outside. We have been playing out every other weekend for a year since KathariK's powerful lineup reinforcement in June 2008, and we have experienced a lot from it. We have met a lot of amazing new people, gained more amazing fans, made a lot of new friends, formed new alliances, and inspired the rest. Many of us feel we have barely scratched the surface and we have only started on the long road ahead.

During the summer months, while school is out, we usually take time to head up north and visit our distant families. So we're going to also take time to save some money, write, and record during this break. It's going to give us an opportunity to refresh our creative minds and put to use some of the hundreds of fuckin' sweet riffs we have saved away.

With our middle fingers proudly held up to big-business record companies, our goal for the summer/fall break is to write, self-produce and self-release a full length album with our favorite current tracks, and a majority of new. Although this is a goal, it most likely won't be within our budget to spit out any thing fancy (contact us to donate via PayPal), But we do promise to have some sort new album/EP that will be distributed through many major media distribution websites (amazon, itunes, cdbaby).

With all that said, i would like to Officialy announce: KathariK will not be open for booking for the rest of JUNE 2009 to SEPTEMBER 2009. Exceptions can be made for generous opportunities except for times when any band members are out of town of course.

We want to give a big shout out and a huge thanks to all of our friends from Cethkyn, Great Awakening, Driven, Enigmatic, Fields of Glass, Misanthropist, Flesharvest, Bulletwork, Mechanics of Malice, Tales of Massacre(Animus), Dissonant, everyone at flmetal.com, All Access Magazine, CFLbands.com, The Dungeon of Orlando, Floyd's Music of Tallahassee, Tuned Up Music Center, and anybody else who has ever banged their fuckin' head with us anywhere, YOU KICK ASS.

Punch babies, start mosh pits, horns up, bang chicks, start fires, eat meat, STAY METAL

Most of you have noticed already that we've completed the demo.

And we have to say, we're pretty damn proud of it.

The guitars sound better, the drums are awesome, Jon's vox are mind-blowing, and we FINALLY feature Pastry (he doesn't sound too bad himself).

Track listing consists of:

1. Last Hour of Redemption (4:03)

2. Days Dead (4:32)

3. Blunt Side of Veracity (4:36)

If you want to get your hands on a copy, keep your money in your wallets, because it's free.

We're handing them out at most, if not, every show.

If you end up running into us and you want one, let us know, we're bound to have a couple copies on us.

The only thing we ask of you is to PLEASE upload them on your computer and hand them out to another person who wants the demo.

Tell them to do the same thing.

Spread the music.

Thanks for all the support and we hope to see you at at least one of the five shows coming up.

-KathariK

We need all the help we can get to get our name out there! We would greatly appreciate it if you all could do us a favor and help us spread the word. On our profile we put up a few banners and the code right under them. Pick whatever banner you want, copy the code under it, and then paste it somewhere on your profile or on websites. This will help get our name out there and anyone willing to do this for us is awesome, we really appreciate it!

There's been quite a few people asking us why we changed our name. Here's the reason why:

Follow The Ember didn't have any type of meaning and we wanted a name that meant something and really fit us. To us, KathariK means releasing of emotions through music and we think that fits us perfectly.
