The USMTS Dirthead.com Southern Series completed their TrackTek Racing Fuels Halloween Havoc doubleheader at the Gator Motorplex Saturday, and for the second straight night Kelly Shryock walked up and drew the pole position for the start of the main event.

With a 12th-place finish last Saturday at the 11th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Kelly Shryock garnered his unprecedented ninth USMTS National Championship. His eighth title in 2006 put Shryock among some elite company in the business of motorsports title collecting. His 2009 title adds another glowing entry in his coveted résumé.

It was a battle for the ages Saturday at the Deer Creek Speedway as Jason Hughes won his second Featherlite Fall Jamboree title with a last-corner pass of Terry Phillips. The win was worth $9,500 and just .043 second separated the two at the finish line.

One year ago, Zack VanderBeek scored his first win at the Deer Creek Speedway on the second night of the 10th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree. He was the class of the field again as he captured Friday night's main event on the second night of the 11th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree.
