Any readers out there? A friend of mine recently completed a trilogy of books for HarperCollins collectively entitled: THE LEGEND OF ASAHIEL. It's an epic fantasy adventure, with wizards, witches, demons, dragons, and bloody battles galore. Think Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings," only written by a guy who listens to Rob Zombie and Slayer. The books are available in both hardcover and paperback. You can find 'em online or ask about 'em at your local bookstore.

Visit Eldon's website (www.eldonthompson.com) for sample chapters, ordering links, and more, or check out his MySpace profile (www.MySpace.com/Asahiel). Be sure to tell him Tyler sent you!

NEXT UP FOR MANE Just thought I’d keep you up to date on what I’m up to these days since I don't twitter! I’m typing this from my suite in Osoyoos, BC. That’s in Canada for those of you who don’t have a clue. Hell, I’m Canadian and I didn’t have a fuckin' clue where it was. I’m about two miles from the US border and it’s like the high desert! But it’s Canada’s premiere wine country and the shit’s good!!!
Anyway, I’m filming my next project "Gunless." It’s a major change of pace for me which is why I really wanted to do the project. The IMDB summary is: "A hardened American gunslinger is repeatedly thwarted in his attempts to mount a showdown in a friendly town in Canada where no one seems to understand or appreciate the brutal code of the American Wild West." Yeah…it’s a Western… comedy!!! I play Jack Smith the local Blacksmith, the one the gunslinger is trying to have the show down with.
Next up, I’ve been setting up my production company Mane Entertainment and our first project PENANCE LANE is moving along at an incredible pace. In my top friends there is a page PENANCE LANE where you can look for up dates in the near future. We have a director attached that will blow your minds! Not telling yet!

The new song on my profile, though not very clearly labeled, is a project that my wife, Renae Geerlings-Mane, sang a couple years ago for the album connected with a comic book she edited called Proximity Effect. It fits my profile pretty well I think. Like the song says, NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE!
She's a pretty talented chick and I just wanted to share.
Working on a new website going up hopefully this week, so make sure you check it out when it's done. I'll let you know when. It's looking really bad ass.

“Your Factory Warranty Has Run Out!” Or whatever the fuck she says!
I was sick and tired of receiving these calls, but I wanted to have some fun since she rudely interrupted my nap…AGAIN…bitch!
“Press 1 to speak to a representative, or 2 to be removed from the list.” I tried pressing 2 to be removed from the list last week, so what the fuck?! I pressed 1.
For some strange reason I was disconnected. After a few minutes of reviewing every swear word
I knew (and some I made up on the spot) into a dead phone line, I tried to return to my nap.
My phone rang a few short minutes later and after answering I heard her sweet voice once again.
I pressed 1 once more, because to tell you the truth, I had remembered some choice words that I had forgotten previously.
I was put through. There is a god! I was now speaking to Frank, who strangely sounded East Indian. Frankly, I never knew they named their kids Frank …huh!
He went through his spiel in his very broken English about my warranty. I told him I just had a Hummer… and it was a good one! I told him he should get one too. When he inquired, I told him that I had had my Hummer for a long time and it was at the end….of its warranty that is!
He asked for my information, at least I think that’s what he asked…couldn’t really understand him.
I told him I was Darth Vader and my Visa # was 12345678910! Sorry Darth buddy, but if you can get a little extra time on a good Hummer….what the hell, take it! It was only $550.00 dollars or Indian whatchamacallits!
Thank you, Frank, for all your help! And do enjoy your commission on that one!
God I hate those fuckin’ calls!
Now that I’ve got that off my chest, an update: filming’s going great! The deaths are really brutal and gritty! I’m extra pissed off when I have to chase people in the rain and it’s just above freezing so I’m sure you’ll enjoy. And if you’re a hater, then take some comfort knowing that I was freezing my balls off.
One more week to go! Let me know if you want to see another fireside chat before I leave.
