Always For Me Goes to Hollywood!

Don't miss the festivities and the fun as the National Organization for Women hosts its annual "Love Your Body Day" in Hollywood California. The NOW Foundation's Women's Health Project launched the Love Your Body campaign in Sept. 1998 as a national day of action to speak out against advertisements and images of women that are harmful, offensive, disrespectful and demeaning. Each year, on Love Your Body Day, activists around the country say "no" to twisted beauty standards and hazardous advertisements and empower woman to embrace their inner beauty and strength with positive images and role models.

The pinnacle of the festivities - the "Real Women" Fashion Show - will begin at 3 pm. Models of all shapes and sizes will be flaunting the styles of plus-size designers and retailers like AlwaysForMe.com . The location is the West Hollywood Park Auditorium is located at 647 N. San Vicente in West Hollywood. All ages are welcome and admission is free.

Always For Me is having a swimwear sale while there is still plenty of pool and beach time left. They feature plus size swimwear in a wide variety of designer styles.

MORE TO LOVE, the new dating competition show from Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor"), follows one regular guy's search for love among a group of real women determined to prove that love comes in all shapes and sizes. The inspirational new series is hosted by iconic supermodel Emme.

So, if you did not catch this week's episode you let me fill you in. After an anxiety provoking round of team picking, (reminiscent of the horrors of high school gym class) the girls find out the teams will go on two separate group dates - one a romantic evening dinner cruise, the other a pool party. Up the anxiety scale 10 notches, as the girls struggle with exposing their plus size bodies in swimsuits on the first date!

While the snippets of the swimsuit shots were okay and certainly better than what you would see on your average day at the beach. With the exception of Melissa, most played it safe with basic black. I would love to have seen these beautiful women in playful styles and colors that highlighted their best assets. Even in black, a touch of bling or a shot of color would have done wonders. Show him what you've got ladies.
