I just realized something. Myspace can mean a lot of different things to different people. It can be your way to keep in touch with everyone. It can keep you in touch with old friends, co-workers, and collaborators. It can be a dating tool, a way to meet new people, the list goes on. But, I also realized something about blogging on Myspace. It is very overlooked, at least in my circle of friends. I wonder why that is?

I assume most people see their "profile views" on their "home" page, and probably take a bit of satisfaction in knowing that that many people have (at least in a small way) shown some interest in them. But what about blogging?

It seems most people on Myspace are a little against commenting or especially subscribing to peoples blogs. Is it because they are not interested in reading? Have they no time? Or, is it a fear that the person they subscribe to will view them in a different light? Maybe the person who is writing the blog might think the subscriber is strange, or has an odd fascination with them. I know thats why I don't subscribe.

Maybe I should though. I barely notice the blog section on my friends profile pages. I just found out through email, that one of my best friends was getting married. When I called him he was surprised I did not see his numerous blogs he posted about his relationship and how it was going so well. I guess I dropped the ball on that one.

So to wrap this up, I'm going to try it. I'm going to subscribe to everyones blog. Maybe you should too. Check that little bit of insecurity at the door and just give it a try.

Being the pessimist that I can sometimes be, I would say the idea of this show would not work. Revisiting the key moments in gaming news for the past month, talking about it, trying to be funny, it's a long shot at best. The show will be broken into segments so that will help with keeping the audience "refreshed" and stimulated and not bored off their asses. Also, it contains original music, another added bonus.

All in all we have some good stuff going, but we need more. The next few weeks will be very crucial in this things development. Wish me luck.

I decided today was the day to finally put all my furniture together that has been sitting in boxes collecting dust for the past month. I open the first box (my dresser) and I'm shocked to see that the thing comes in about 45 pieces....no joke. I open the second box (my desk) and that has just as many parts and a big tube of glue. *Sigh*

Three and a half hours later the dresser is finally done and I'm starting on the desk. I'm about half way through it now and if I have to glue one more wood dowel I think I'll freak the F out!

I guess I am partially to blame for not using a power drill and only reading the instructions half the time, but dang! I'm glad I won't have to do this for a long time.

I'll get you IKEA.......I'll get you.

Today was the first day of the public viewing of TGS. About 200,000 people showed up today...yea. Anyway, it was packed as hell and the line was rapped around the building almost twice. Good thing I don't have to wait in lines :) We finished gathering any left over- not to important video from the show floor, and got out. We had the most views ever at our site today GAMEVIDEOS.COM, which F'in rules. Tomorrow we are going back to Shibuya to finish up our video gathering and to just chill and have some fun. Should be more good times.

Japan is the shit. I have never seen so many people in such a small area, yet everything is clean. The streets are spotless, the buildings have no graffiti, and even the paint markings on the roads are crisp and bright! The hotel I was at in Shibuya, had an elevator facing the street below, and when the waiting mobs of pedestrians crossed the intersection, I was absolutely amazed. The intersection must be at least a hundred and fifty yards across and 80 yards wide, yet I could not see one single inch of the street when the crowds crossed. I'll post the photos when I get a chance! Incredible!

So, I'm headed to Japan next week, to do some work and get a little mo' money. I should be able to chill there for the first day or two though, which I'm hoping to take advantage of, and have some fun. I have been challenged to partake of some pretty gross local foods while there; I'll let you know how that turns out. Something I am really looking forward to is the shots I'll be able to get in downtown Tokyo. Neon lighting  everywhere, tons people, signs, culture. Should be good times.

So, yea, I'm kinda getting sick of moving my stuff around. Moving all of your possessions 3 times in 3 weeks is just wrong. One cool aspect about it though is that you find stuff you forgot you had. I found a bunch of old photos and videotapes from about 4 years ago. Funny I don't remember them being there when I got to the dorms hmmm?. I also found a few old letters from family and friends. Since I'm not a "complete" asshole, I must have put that stuff in a drawer or something. Anyway, I was considerate enough to keep it, so I should get good Karma points for being sentimental at least right? My second move is tonight, moving all my stuff to storage. Maybe I'll find more stuff? But if I don't, I have another chance to look threw all my stuff again coming right up! Hell yeah, totally sweet, just freaking awesome, I love this shit!!! I'd move all day if I could!!!

Quakecon. Deep in the heart of Dallas, it draws thousands to its competition, and even more to its excitement. It's at the Hilton Anatole this year. This hotel is no joke! I have seen my fair share of hotels, but nothing quite like this. It's massive! The size of this place boggles my mind every time I enter its lobby. The hotel could seriously house over 20,000 people, but it seems a bit deserted because of new registration regulations capping the competition. Last year Quakecon had about 6,000 competitors. This year though, the competition has been scaled back to 1,800 to keep the competition fierce. I have been more than busy keeping up with covering all the tournaments and cash prize giveaways.

The worst thing about this competition, besides the odd smell of some people, is the heat! It has been over 100 degrees everyday down here! Thank God our pool is open 24 hours a day. What's up swimming pool?

I had some downtime at work today, so I decided to go Google dumpster diving, and find some random cool facts. I had about 2 hours to waste, so this is what I came up with.

1.
In ancient China, people committed suicide by eating a pound of salt.
2.
Perspiration is odorless; it is the bacteria on the skin that creates an odor.
3.  About 1 in 30 people, in the U.S., are in jail, on probation, or on parole!
4.  When you correct for weight differences, men are proportionately stronger than horses.
5.  Blue eyes are the most sensitive to light, dark brown the least sensitive.
6.  Flamingos pee on their legs to cool themselves off.
7.  There are no ants in Iceland, Antarctica, and Greenland.
8.  SONY was originally called 'Totsuken'.
9.  On average, a person will spend about five years eating during his or her lifetime.
10.  Given the opportunity, deer will chew gum and marijuana.
11.  Bamboo plants can grow up to 36 inches in a day.
12.  Three consective strikes in bowling is called a turkey.
13.  A dime has 118 ridges around the edge, a quarter has 119.
14.  According to legend, theres a Superman in every episode of Seinfeld.
15.  When your face blushes, the lining of your stomach turns red, too.

Yeah, so that passed the time pretty darn good. Everything with my digital transfer went good. Hope you like some of this random shizzer.
