According to the National Council on Pet Population Study, 56% of dogs and 71% of cats that enter animal shelters are euthanized.

In Virginia alone, according to the office of the Virginia State Veterinarian public search, in 2006, 114,843 dogs and cats were euthanized. 

In 2007, thanks in part to the efforts of organizations like Save Our Shelters, that number decreased to 97,207.

Cancer Survivors Day will be held on the grounds of Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville VA. You can mapquest the address 8260 Atlee Rd Mechanicsville, VA 23116.
The event will be held from 3pm -5pm on Saturday June 7th.

This event is sponsored by Bon Secours and is free to the public. It will include free food, games, prizes, and of course the music. The event is in honor of all those surviving cancer. Survivors include all those affected by cancer (patients, loved ones, and caretakers).

SPLASH made a lot of new freinds last night at the Moose Lodge. Thank you to all of you who came out to support the SPLASH band!

We had an awesome time at the Toby Keith and Ted Nugent Concert. 10th row in the front floor section of the Richmond Coliseum. We took some great pictures! I will post them on my website at www,stevebrooks.org. Steve
