THIS ARTICLE WAS DONE DURING MY TRIP IN HAÏTI, IT WAS PUBLISHED IN THE HAITIAN NEWSPAPER SPOTLIGHT OF MARCH 2007.









Someone on myspace asked me what was my ethnic background and my answer was:

"I was born and raised in Montreal. My parents are from Haitian background. My mother lives in Canada and my Father in the States. I have african, french, spanish and native indian who also runs in my blood, so this is the reason people never knows what is my "ethnic background". My first language is french and besides english, I speak a little of creole and portuguese. I would love to speak Spanish Japanese and German, but this will be something that I will work on later in my life..."

I was in Haiti for the first time of my life during the Jacmel Film Festival in November 2006. I believe that it's important for people to know where they come from. My trip in Haiti was a great experience for me and I had a wonderful time! I was lucky during my trip to be surrounded with my family, my friends and beautiful new people that I had the chance to discover!

Thank you again to you guys for taking care of me and showing me Haiti through your eyes!
