The tentatively-dubbed "Bayou Country Superfest" is headed to Baton Rouge for the 2010 Memorial Day weekend, but the event's lineup, ticketing and other details are still being ironed out. Baton Rouge officials have worked out a deal with New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival producer Quint Davis and his partners to create a country music festival, which will be held at the roughly 90,000-seat Tiger Stadium on LSU's campus May 29-30. Organizers say the festival's talent lineup and other details will be released in the fall. Paul Arrigo, president and chief executive of the Baton Rouge-area convention and visitors bureau, says the festival could pump more than $20 million into the local economy over what is typically a slow weekend.
