RATT have enjoyed a rich, impressive and certainly long-lasting legacy through the years, having made their mark in the 1980s with several platinum albums, including Out of the Cellar, Invasion of Your Privacy and Dancing Undercover. With 1984’s mega-platinum debut Out of the Cellar celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the band is looking forward to starting a new chapter with new music to complement the impressive legacy they have established over two-plus decades.
Legendary hard rock icons RATT announced today that Infestation will be the title of their next album, due out in March 2010 via Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records. Infestation is the band’s first studio album since 1999. Infestation was produced by Elvis Baskette (Chevelle, Incubus, Limp Bizkit) and marks the very first time in their storied career that RATT have recorded outside of Los Angeles! The band lived together at Elvis’ Virginia studio while recording the album. In addition to core, longtime members Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini and Bobby Blotzer, the album also features new guitarist Carlos Cavazo, formerly of Quiet Riot, and Robbie Crane, who has been with the band for twelve years, will continue on bass.

RATT's in the Studio!

Warren De Martini and Carlos Cavazo are back in Virginia to complete guitar tracks and solo's for the new RATT release. It's been (10) years since the last RATT studio album (CD) and the band is back to it's original way and format of RATT music circa 1983-1985.
 
Stephen will start on lead vocals most likely after the RATT/Extreme shows for the (12) songs recorded.


Pearcy say's, "This music is exactly what's expected, and a whole lot more! This is RATT music at it's best". 
The band writing together without any outside writers, (the best RATT songs came from the band members) and this time RATT music will do the talking.
 "It kicks f*&kin ass"!

The "RATT 2009 Tour" kicks off in Pryor, Oklahoma at ROCKLAHOMA, where RATT will headline Friday night. Shows with Extreme to follow.

RATT's in the Studio!

1st studio report.

Bobby kicked some serious ass on the drum tracks, they are done! Robert Crane (on the bass) is finishing up bass tracks as we write this tonight/today,
The band is recording well into the early mornings.
 Warren and Carlos on guitars will start after the weekend shows.
The band is tracking 12-14 new songs.

Stephen will start tracking lead vocals next week and back up vocals.The songs are just what you expect from RATT and what the band wants you to hear!
The producer (Elvis) is doing a great job and giving the band, "the big rock sound"!

The studio is class AAA and right on the beach, a good vibe and some serious ass kickin ratt n roll is at hand here.

RATT in the studio!

After months of pre production the Los Angeles rock band RATT are in the studio today to start recording their first studio release in (10) years.

The new release will be produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who's credits include; Puddle of Mud, Chevelle, Saliva, Limp Bizkit, Alter Bridge, Three days grace to name a few.

The band will be recording in Mathews, Virginia for the next month or so, the first time outside of Los Angeles to record a RATT record in (20) plus years. 

The band will be giving weekly updates from the studio. Release date TBA.

ROCKLAHOMA'S LINEUP COMPLETE WITH ADDITION OF RATT

PRYOR, OK - Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records recording artist RATT has been signed on to Headline Friday Night at Rocklahoma being held July 9-12 in Pryor, Oklahoma.

At Rocklahoma, RATT will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the release of Out Of The Cellar, whose hits include "Round and Round" and "Lack of Communication." RATT will be performing the mega-platinum selling album in its entirety at Rocklahoma.

Bobby Blotzer had this to say, "The metal gods of Oklahoma must have a soft spot in their hearts for Ratt N Roll. We are so pumped to be asked again for an unprecedented 3rd consecutive year to rock the thousands of Rodents in Oklahoma! We will put every ounce of Ratt N Roll sweat into a kick ass Friday night along with all of our other friends in the accompanying bands, so get ready to Bang thy heads! New York, NY – April 6, 2009 – Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records announced today the signing of a worldwide deal with Los Angeles hard rockers RATT. The band is set to begin recording its first new material since 1999’s self-titled album this spring.

One of the most popular rock acts of the past 20 years, RATT’s brand of hook-driven melodic rock helped shape the LA metal scene.  The band boasts a deep catalog of hits including smashes like “Round and Round,” “Lay It Down,” “You’re In Love,” “Lack of Communication” and “Wanted Man” which are beloved by fans the world over.  The band has gone on to sell millions of albums worldwide.  With 1984’s mega-platinum debut Out of the Cellar celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the band is looking forward to starting a new chapter with new music to complement the impressive legacy they have established over two-plus decades.

Year of the Ratt 1984!



March 25th marked the 25th year anniversary release date of RATT's Atlantic Records major label debut "Out Of The Cellar".



This landmark album is soon to be 4x Platinum in the U.S. alone. Spawning such classic hard rock hit's and video's; "Round & Round", Wanted Man"and "Back for More".



"OOTC" has become a true hard rock staple on Radio and in the collections of millions of fans around the world over. Stay tuned for more updates on RATT's new studio release and World Tour 2009!

Legendary '80s hard rockers RATT return to stores with new DVD and CD releases on July 31: the first-ever DVD release from the band, "Ratt: Videos From The Cellar: The Atlantic Years", and the audio collection "Tell The World: The Very Best Of Ratt", which features the hard rockers at their studio and live performance peak and includes an unreleased track.

Both of RATT's previously released video collections will be combined and expanded for the DVD release "Ratt: Videos From The Cellar: The Atlantic Years". Featuring singer Stephen Pearcy, guitarists Robbin Crosby and Warren DeMartini, bassist Juan Croucier and drummer Bobby Blotzer, RATT released four consecutive platinum records in the mid-'80s. In addition to compiling some of RATT's most popular videos — "Round And Round", "Lovin' You's A Dirty Job" and "Lay It Down" — the DVD also contains several bonus features, including highlights from the band's triumphant tour of Japan, exclusive new commentary and never before released videos.

The CD "Tell The World: The Very Best Of Ratt" features standout songs from all seven of the group's albums, including such classics as "Wanted Man", "Back For More", and "Round And Round" from the band's triple platinum-selling Atlantic debut "Out Of The Cellar". We'll have an update (for those who missed the debut on ESPN2 NHRA Drag Racing this past weekend) on the Clay Millican driven, Evan Knoll/Skull Gear/Ratt dragster's debut @Topeka Race w/plenty of pictures.

Also special newz for the next race in Chicago this coming weekend.

The band will make an appearance in Chi town at the next race before starting the Poison/RATT tour.
