Salut!

Ca fait un bail! Il s'est passé tellement de choses que cette newsletter va être un poil longue. D'avance, désolé!

Nouvel album:

On a terminé d'enregistrer notre nouvel album, "InBetweenTheLines", et on vient tout juste de recevoir le master, effectué par Steve Rizun! Steve bosse à Toronto (Canada), au Drive Studios (www.drivestudios.com) et bosse / a bossé avec The Flatliners, Keepin'6, Ill Scarlet, The Creepshow, Ignite... On est hyper heureux qu'il ait accepté de s'occuper de nous, et on est encore plus heureux du résultat! Pour finir sur ce nouvel album, petite info people: Chris Cresswell de Flatliners et Vic Ruggiero des Slackers font une apparition sur notre galette. On vous en dit pas plus, la surprise à la sortie!

Nouvelle tournée:

Qui dit nouvel album, dit nouvelle tournée. On a quelques dates en Juin en Allemagne et Belgique. Puis on embarque en Juillet pour 4 semaines d'une nouvelle tournée de barbares qui nous emmènera cette fois-ci en Slovénie, Croatie, Macédoine, Bulgarie, Roumanie, Turquie, Ukraine, Lettonie, Lituanie, Pologne et Allemagne. La majorité des dates sont bookées (et dispo sur notre site web, myspace, facebook etc). On prendra un bon mois de vacances en Aout, avant d'attaquer à nouveau dès Septembre, suivi d'une tournée de 15 jours en Allemagne en Octobre. Nouveau tromboniste:

Au rayon moins bonne nouvelle, Jaws nous quitte pour une nouvelle carrière professionnelle. On lui souhaite toute la réussite dans son nouveau projet, et on le remercie pour ces 5 années passées ensemble. La bonne nouvelle par contre, c'est que notre nouveau tromboniste est déjà d'attaque. Il se prénomme Julien, et a fait ses premières dates avec nous le weekend dernier! Yiha.

Nouveau rien du tout:

Du côté kif de l'extrême, on est revenus du Groezrock Festival (Belgique) des étoiles pleins les yeux. C'était tout simplement énorme. Avoir la chance de jouer sur ce festival, sur la meilleure des scènes d'après nous (la seule où le stage dive est autorisé) devant un parterre très réactif de 2 à 3.000 personnes alors qu'Underoath jouait en même temps sur la mainstage (comme ça fait plaisir de voir que le ska n'est pas mort!), devant plein de copains qu'on avait pas revus depuis longtemps, avec des groupes de tuerie etc etc... On a tout simplement surkiffé! Merci à toutes les personnes qui étaient là, merci à celles qui n'étaient pas là mais qui nous ont envoyé mails et messages. It's been a while! Many things happened to us during the past weeks, so expect this newsletter to be a bit long. Sorry for that!

New album:

We finished the recordings of our new album, "InBetweenTheLines", and we just received the master, done by Steve Rizun! We're extremely happy that he accepted to work with us, and even more happy of the result! New tour:

A new album goes with a new tour... We have a couple of shows in June in Germany and Belgium. Then, we'll hit the road during 4 weeks for another crazy tour that will bring us to Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Germany. Most of the shows are booked (check on our website, myspace, facebook etc). We will then take a one month holiday in August, and will hit the road again from September on, followed up by a 2 weeks Germany tour in October. If you want us to play in your city, get in touch with us!

New trombone player:

Also, Jaws left the band to focus on his new job. We wish him the best, and we thank him for those 5 years spent together. The good news is that our new trombone player is already ready to hit the stage! His name is Julien, and he played his first shows with us last weekend. Yiha!

New nothing...:

Talking about having a blast, we came back from Groezrock Festival (Belgium) thinking of what has just happened to us: that was a real blast! Playing this festival, on the best stage in our minds (the only one where stage diving was allowed) in front of 2 to 3.000 people whereas Underoath was playing mainstage at the same time (ska's not dead), in front of many friends we haven't seen in sooo long, with awesome bands etc... That was awesome! Thanks to the people who showed up, and thanks to those who didn't show up but sent us emails and messages. Le lieu alternatif mythique de la scène parisienne (rue Ménilmontant) est menacé par une opération immobilière. Une descente de police a eu lieu il y a quelques jours et laisse présager une mesure d’expulsion pour bientôt. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas l’endroit, La Miroiterie est le plus vieux squat artistique parisien, une trentaine de personnes y vivent actuellement, de nombreuses nationalités, peintres, plasticiens, musiciens... Et P.O.Box est censé y jouer le Vendredi 3 avril, en compagnie d'Union Jack, Bleeding Pigs et Lords of the Pint.
Pour soutenir ce lieu essentiel de la contre-culture, de la scène punk hexagonale, et avoir la chance d’y voir encore des concerts pour longtemps, signez la pétition en ligne:

This squat in Paris is threatened by a new landlord: police came a few days ago and we can expect some eviction within the next days. For those of you who never heard about La Miroiterie, this is the oldest squat in Paris, where about 30 people (coming from many different countries) live: painters, sculptors, musicians, artists... And P.O.Box is supposed to be playing there on Friday April 3rd, with Union Jack, Bleeding Pigs and Lords of the Pint.
