Recently, my mirror got cracked or shattered again.

When I wrote the poem "The Shattered Mirror", I thought it could not happen again.

Wrong. Wrong! WRONG!!


Why is it important to use, lie to, disrespect, and abuse people, especially coming from family and friends? Does it make the world go around?


I was forced to rethink my goals, my friends, and my surroundings. I wrote about becoming a hermit.


A hermit is not the answer nor is letting your mirror get shattered. I have yet to figure out the answer. Is it new friends, new job, new surroundings or new life?

I am getting tired of rebuilding the mirror.

They say life is like bowl of cherries. Why am I in the pits?  hehe

Maybe, I have high expectations for myself, my family, and friends. I would like to think my expectations are reasonable. Should I put the walls back in place?

All I know is to thine own self be true. Love yourself and be as happy as you can.

Recently, I had the mirror cracked actually shattered.
What I thought I saw in the mirror wasn't as it appeared to be.

The mirror sometimes lies to us or distorts the truth.
We are afraid to actually appear naked in the mirror.

The mirror like TV adds 10 pounds and so on.
So, the mirror delivers the bad news when we least expect it.

How to put the mirror back together once it is shattered?
The mirror is like our life.

Once shattered, it is hard to put back together.
So, you slowly pick up each piece and glue them back in the "same" place.

Eventually, the mirror will be back together.
Will it be as it was in the beginning or before?
Doubtful....

There will be a new mirror and a new image.
Will the image be better than before....only time will tell.

The image in the mirror is still me, 10 pounds and all....
So what appears with our image may be slightly different.

Our choices when putting the mirror back together will decide the view....Through The Shattered Mirror.

This is a 3-way race: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards. I think people need to really take a serious look at these candidates. Are we ready for Hillary or Obama? Each person should take responsibility to know each individual. No one should be counted out nor should anyone think their vote doesn't count. Nor should we not vote thinking the candidate doesn't need our support. I am somewhat undecided but leaning towards Hillary Clinton for President. So far, I have not been impressed with Obama. John Edwards needs to work on his fundraising and his visibility to the people. I do want to challenge everyone to really really think about the candidate. I wish each candidate the best of luck in their journey. The US prosperity is the most important. I feel that the Bush administration has lost sight of the needs of the American people. WHy should we force the Democratic way onto other countries? We have many serious issues that need to be solved: education, insurance, safety, retirement, employment, homelessness, and disease. I have found that helping others has its merits and place. Also, I found that the returns are not as great as you might think. You think others put your actions high. You will find out that is not the case. You have to take into consideration of the source. You should mainly please yourself. I try different ways to accomplish things. I don't always make the right choices. You have to examine every choice. Then, you decide to change or not. I have created several websites. I am trying to build a business. The main issue before me is marketing. I am a good conversationalist but I need to learn about marketing and packaging. I need to make sure that the website presentation says what it needs to say, as in the site should present the idea of its purpose. I was chatting with a few friends. Of course Politics came up and Bush.
Here are a few things to ponder.
Are we really helping other countries and ourseles by forcing the "Democratic way" on them?
Are we really less safe than before 911? or Is it an excuse to raise prices on things? or to gain control over oil production? Do we have the right to force our way of life on other countries? How many lives have been lost because of this "War on Terrorism"? Who is really winning? US? Them? The government?

Why aren't we worried about things at home? Spending our time, efforts, and our money on issues we face at home?

I wish there was a simple solution, but I doubt there is a right or wrong answer other than worry about this country and its issues than trying to change others. I feel we have wasted enough time, money and lives(most important). You have to know when to say when, when to move on, and are we right?

I am very disappointed in our Politicians. They allow companies to fire at will. They spend our tax dollars like there is no tomorrow. We are in a war in which we shouldn't be involved. We are being the bully. We have people here losing their jobs, their home, and their loved ones. The answer is one of which I was faced a few years back. I had to start over. I had to make tough choices. I lost my home, my transportation, and a few friends, as well as, a business partner. All of these choice we either forced or had to be made. because my employer of 9 years decided I was a bad employee. I couldn't get a lawyer to represent me. I was told by several it was a conflict of interest or career suicide for myself and them to pursue the lawsuit. I did finally find a lawyer but he disappeared 2 months before the case appeared in court. He could not be found. "The State of Ohio" decided to disbarr him. I believe there was foulplay. I had started a company that keeps evolving due various reasons. Our politicians make choices with our money without considering our views. We need to start cleaning "House", but at what level should we start? I want a better tomorrow for myself, elderly, and especially the kids. WE have tough choices ahead.
