ANNOUNCEMENT FROM ELAIN SMITHA OF "EVOLVING IDEAS"

Jacque Fresco, a living legend, will advance a new social design for humanity with Elaine Smitha on Evolving Ideas(TM) Tuesday, September 11, 2007.

Join the conversation as she and Jacque explore problems of today that cannot be solved with the same thinking that created them. Sounds like Einstein. The turning point is a new way of thinking about solving humanities problems.

Architect, Inventor, industrial designer and social engineer, Jacque is a visionary thinker who will help re-frame life as we know it. His global vision of the possible is space-age high tech. You'll be in awe at this elder's accomplishments and unrelenting pursuit of freedom to live a purpose-filled life.

A Must Listen...

Roxanne and I have returned from our trip to Iceland. Our gracious host for this event ("Eidar 2000" attended by European artists and museum curators) was Joni Sighvatsson, a prominent Icelandic film producer based in Los Angeles. Our luggage was delayed by the airline, and Joni was so kind to provide us with a set of warm clothing for our first day while we awaited our bags.

Future by Design screened as the first movie. Despite an unfortunate problem with the sound system, people were very interested to speak with me throughout the ensuing few days to clarify and comment on what they had seen in the film.

A big highlight for Roxanne and me was meeting famed museum curator Hans Ulrich Olbrist, known for his interviews with a great many people. He had already seen Future by Design prior to this event and was very appreciative of my views and ideas.

Iceland is magnificent -- spectacular, really. Joni flew us across the island and we were able to see huge hills with glaciers on top and beautiful waterfalls coming down the mountainsides. It was a very interesting trip.

We will be traveling to another country soon, Austria, where I have been invited to speak at a conference called Changing Strategies, put on by architecture students at the Technical University of Vienna. I will be part of a panel discussion on the theme New Territories: Anything but Ordinary -- water, virtual and outer space as the new territories for architects that provide enough space for new utopias.

I would love to go to Canada for the Canadian premiere of Future by Design (at Rebelfest International Film Festival), but time does not permit. I will be speaking at a local event in Sarasota, Florida on September 19 called Rethinking Sustainable Construction ...to determine the future direction of high-performance green buildings around the world.

Thank you for reading by blog,
~Jacque~
