Current mood:  annoyed
Our Saturday Dec 26th performance scheduled at the Lost Horizon has been cancelled. It is very last minute, and we abundantly apologize to those of you who were planning on attending. I'd also like to extend a thank you to the fan of ours who brought the discrepancy between the venue and us to our attention; you know who you are. Thank you for the head's up.

Apparently there were some extenuating circumstances involving Jamus Breed that caused our bill to be cancelled. In addition there was a communication breakdown between the venue and the band which is why this cancellation is so last minute.

We'd like you all to please consider driving down the one hour trip to Ithaca on Fri Dec 18th for our last performance of the year. If that doesn't work for you, we are working on a reschedule with the Lost Horizon for sometime in Feb. Hopefully that will come to fruition.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience. We are as disappointed as you are.

See you next weekend in Ithaca, or sometime in early 2010!

Current mood:  happy
so we were in Austin, TX last night for our "night off" on the tour.  we weren't planning on playing a show at all last night, we were just gonna chill.  about four beers in, i was like, "f this, let's go find a show... we have all our gear... we'll play for free if they'll let us."

we met an awesome cat, named CJ, at a bar called "darwin's" who was going to let us play a set at 12:30am.

shikhar, dan, our friend dan rader (who lives here), and i all decided to go grab another beer.  after my second sip i got a call from diwas who was down several blocks at another bar called "head hunters".  apparently they had actually booked ayurveda to play that night, but no one ever told us!  so we were booked there for an 11pm show.  which of course we played.

so our "night off" turned into the only night of the tour which we played twice.  yes.
we love you austin!  thank you so much for your hospitality...

special thanks to CJ and Darwin's, the Head Hunters, and our buddy Dan Rader.

I want to thank everyone for attending the cd release on friday.  What a fantastic crowd.  There was great energy throughout; definitely the best way we could have kicked off the tour.  For those who couldn't attend, we have live recordings available thanks to Joe Catlin:

We're excited to let you know about a private show this Friday the 14th right here in Ithaca.  It will take place at our studio downtown and feature a rad band from Philly called Infinien.  During the show we will be previewing several songs from the new album that have yet to be performed live.  For a meager $10 ticket you'll get all access to an intimate show and hang out afterwards.  The ticket price also includes some amenities which we will provide (most likely beer).

There are only 25 spots that will be given on a first come first serve basis, via online RSVP.  In other words, to come to the show, you need to email us here: vedarsvp@gmail.com .  In the email say you're committed to attending, along with your full name, at which point we'll shoot you a response on whether or not you made the list along with the rest of the details.  If you do not reply beforehand, you will not be let in!  It's gonna be a special show.

See you Friday!
